Bluetooth disconnects - Samsung Gear VR

So I have my gear s and lg paired to phone. Just got the gear vr and it plays nicely, the lg tones work well, but I get a bluetooth disconnected popup continuously every few seconds. I am hoping someone has an idea of how to fix. Currently on firekat rom v5. Thanks everyone.

no one has any ideas huh?

[Q] Bluetooth Issue

Hi guys, i am currently using Rocket Rom v23 and abyss kernel. At first my bluetooth device (wp 250 creative headset) is working just fine. But after several days the bluetooth is not working anymore even though it can recognize the device but when i connect it there is no music playing.
i tested my bluetooth device and it works on my sgs and itouch
i tested my galaxy note bluetooth to pair with sgs and it works
-what i did to resolve it before was to go back stock rom then v22 to v23 but it is hell of a work.
can u pls help me to work around this issue? thank u

I remember I had this problem with Sennheisser MM100 headphones a while back. From memory I unpaired and removed the device, then re-paired the phones. I may have done a reboot of the note after I unpaired the device, can't remember as it was a long time ago. I have not had a problem since.
I have the same problem as kwelito_88. I managed to use my Creative WP-250 headset for just 3 weeks before it decided to stay mumb on me.
I "unpair" the headset with my phone but now my phone just couldn't see this headset when it scans for devices.
Any one out there know how to get both gadgets working again? Thanks.
Do you have a BT laptop you can try pairing your Note with? If it works that will rule out the Note as the problem.
You've probably already fully charged the headset and checked that they are definitely in pairing mode so that the Note can see them? My Sennheisers are bit touchy and didn't go into pairing mode properly until I pressed harder on the switch button.

Thanks! I can now confirm the Note is not the problem.. it pair & connect to my BT laptop easily.. So the Creative wp-250 headset is where the fault is. Guess I won't be looking at Creative products for a while.
Thanks for the tip
Hmm. I have a duff/non-compliant Jabra headset too. That tip with pairing with "known good" worked a treat.

[Q] Bluetooth Car Audio Issues

Hello fellow HTC One members/XDA enthusiasts!
I have owned many phones in the past few years and never had any issues pairing with bluetooth devices until now.
I have a Pioneer X910 in dash head unit in my car and briefly had the audio working (no on screen information) but then it stopped and when I hit play it started playing out of the phones speakers.
It does say that the phone is connected and on the phone itself it sees Pioneer Navi and also in the settings it shows audio enabled.
Now for the life of me I cannot get any music playing over BT in my car. I have yet to try phone calls with it.
BTW I have my phone rooted with OrDroid on it.
Has anyone had this problem or know the solution? I can play music on my BT speaker in my house but not on my Pioneer X910
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
No one is having this issue?
I may have to return this phone if this feature doesn't work...
Also my work email is not being "Pushed" through EAS....really frustrated with such a beautiful phone...
Which ordroid version are you working on?
HTC tweaked some bluetooth things during 1.29.401.5, and every Update some problems disappear...

I'm on OrDroid 3.0.0
I un-paired the device today and re-paired, started to work for a few seconds, shut the screen off, it stopped working and now won't play through the speakers anymore.
BTW I'm using N7 music player

I had a similar issue pairing my old EVO 4G with my Ford Sync system via blue tooth. Don't know if this is related but the issue I had was when Sync tried to download my contacts/address book it would choke. Turned out Sync couldn't handle merged contacts. If your Pioneer is trying to download your contacts try disabling it.
still not working. i am now using trickdroid 5.1.0 and it does the same thing.
very frustrating
anyone else having these issues?

Works fine with my Pioneer AVH 2400BT, even displays the Track Info on the head unit. I did notice the audio breaking up when using Tom Tom and listening to music at the same time.

Revolution HD ROM might be worth a try, maybe it has a more up to date version of Blue Tooth. Is your Pioneer on the latest firmware? If not it might be worth updating it too.

Disable auto-answer on Gear

Whenever I answer the phone ON my phone, it redirects the audio to the Gear. Is there an option to stop that?
I turned off Bluetooth Voice/Audio in the Bluetooth settings but then it completely disables the Gear. Any ideas?
I'm using the gear on a CM 4.4 S3, so no TW. That might be the issue right?

Ya that's exactly the issue. Your phone sees the watch as a headset so it will always send it to the watch.

As far as I know you need a Samsung device that supports it or If you do have the right device you need a two rom. I don't think there's any other way. Your watch is running tizen, not even Android so there isn't much you can do.

It works fine for me with a BT headset and a Gear 2. Just a guess, but make sure you do not have "Incoming calls" checked in Gear Manager>Settings.
I'm on the Nexus 5 for outgoing calls immediately translates into Gear 2 Neo. Nexus 5 perceives it as a bluetooth headset. Somebody decided this issue?

Pair Gear 2 Neo with Nexus 6P

How do I connect the Samsung Gear 2 Neo to my Nexus 6P?I don't want to use the Android wear port simply because I want to have calls on my watch working. I've installed the Samsung Gear app from the Google Play Store but it doesn't find my device. Please help.?
I'm having the same issue. I can pair the 6P to the Gear with Bluetooth, but Gear Manager won't see it... and the Watch is useless since it never leaves the initial tutorial / pairing, even when pair to bluetooth.

You can skip the tutorial but the only thing that will work will be the phone calls and ir remote.

I was able to skip the tutorial (thank you!), and even connect to the Gear 2 Neo using my Nexus 6P... BUT... Gear Manager still won't see it. Any solution?

Apparently, for now, that's where the journey ends. Just a bluetooth connection is pretty useless and the fact that it wants to do a factory reset every time you connect it to a different phone means I can't configure it on m S5 and then bluetooth it to my 6P.
Gear 2 is made for only Samsung phone.
There are some workaround but this works only in few case.

Blu R1 HD Bluetooth Issues

I'm new to xda. I installed TWRP and removed OTA updates and Amazon ads on my phone. I'm on kernel version 3.18.19+.
I am trying to connect the phone to my Chevy Volt and play music via bluetooth. This worked fine with my iPhone.
The phone connects to the car, but I don't hear any music. In addition, when I connect it via USB, music still doesn't play through the stereo. Any ideas?

I had Bluetooth issue like you decribe once with this phone. I rebooted and problem didnot come back. As far as through USB I don't think that works with any Android. I could be wrong in that though

I tried to reboot several times, but it didn't seem to resolve the issue. I can make phone calls through the car bluetooth, but no audio. And additional suggestions would be appreciated!

Lol, sorry, I just had to chuckle blame it on the chevy. :silly: I know they did some Bluetooth fixes in M 6.0.1, just kinda hard to narrow it down. I have audio issues transmitting to my Bluetooth receiver on my home surround, but that thing is like 5 years old.... I'm still looking for a solution though, I'll chime in if I find anything that works for me. My issues are stuttering and random loss of connection
Just wanted everyone to know that I solved the problem. There was a firmware update for the Chevy Volt to enable Android Auto. Once the dealer applied the update, bluetooth streaming is working. Awesome!
BTW -- Android Auto works really well!

I have a 2017 Chevy Volt. I believe the 2016 is also eligible for the upgrade.
