Pair Gear 2 Neo with Nexus 6P - Samsung Gear 2 Neo

How do I connect the Samsung Gear 2 Neo to my Nexus 6P?I don't want to use the Android wear port simply because I want to have calls on my watch working. I've installed the Samsung Gear app from the Google Play Store but it doesn't find my device. Please help.?

I'm having the same issue. I can pair the 6P to the Gear with Bluetooth, but Gear Manager won't see it... and the Watch is useless since it never leaves the initial tutorial / pairing, even when pair to bluetooth.

You can skip the tutorial but the only thing that will work will be the phone calls and ir remote.

I was able to skip the tutorial (thank you!), and even connect to the Gear 2 Neo using my Nexus 6P... BUT... Gear Manager still won't see it. Any solution?

Apparently, for now, that's where the journey ends. Just a bluetooth connection is pretty useless and the fact that it wants to do a factory reset every time you connect it to a different phone means I can't configure it on m S5 and then bluetooth it to my 6P.

Gear 2 is made for only Samsung phone.
There are some workaround but this works only in few case.

Hi, just some questions:
- I understand you have a non-official 4.3 in the note 2, could you confirm?
- If do you have a bluetooth headset, may I ask you to test if you do a call, or with the phone or with the galaxy gear, if the sounds goes to he headset?
I acquired a gear and check with 4.2.2. and 4.1.2 on diferent devices (installing the gear app) but the issue was with the headset. I need to have it running...

Plasee can check if receive the call with the note instead of the gear, goes it into the note or still going to the gear. In this last case there is a menú in The gear that can switch to the note or to the bluetooth, does it work? This menu appears on the gear during the call and is activated on the screen, upper right corner.
do you have last version of gear software in the note?
Thanks for your time.

So if I receive a call i can answer with the gear or with the phone, then from the phone I can push the Headset button and hear the call on the phone,or push it back and hear it on the gear.
Yes I have the latest version I believe.

You are my king....
A) If you receive a call and push your bluetooth earpiece, the call goes directly into this headset?
B) Do you have disconnections using the headset bluetooth earpiece?
C) May i ask you for a print screen of your bluetooth devices connected just to see what is blue color or connected at the same time?
D) What 4.3 are you running?
E) is running in your case the weather widget?
You have the secret to have running the gear. It is related to the 4.3 version but not needed any special sw from Samsung (except obviously the gear sw). If you confirm my question I think I will acquire again a gear (i returned due no way to have it running with my phones)
Sorry for this long list of requirements.

Did you have the little charging cradle against the back of the Note 3? If not, do so, let it make the sound, make sure numbers match on Gear andNote. Next, hit ok on both and they should pair.
Plan B if they don't pair. Go to the Note Bluetooth settings and scan for the Gear manually. It should find it, hit ok on Gear and Note if numbers match on both and u r ready to go.
Let's us know if it does not work.
Also, in the Gear watch itself, go to settings, Bluetooth and make sure it is checked.

I am also having the same problem. Mine would pair if initially if using NFC but after ticking "agree" to all the terms and conditions the bluetooth will turn off (at least that's what it says on the gear). I can then pair up using bluetooth manually and get into the sychronisation graphic which does not ever go away. I don't get to see the watch face at all. It seems to be forever syncing with my note3. I think I might have to get a replacement. Resetting and repairing wouldn't work either....
Simple solution. Don't look into it to far. Just make sure you download and fully run gear manager on your phone before you connect. Simple as that. Same thing happened to me when I set it up.... got a little toy happy and neglected to run the proper steps

Have you paired your headset with your watch? That has to be done whether it is paired with your phone or not.

In the watch Settings, scroll down and tap on Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is checked on, then tap on BT settings and it will start to scan. Put your headset in pairing mode and it should find it.

That depends on your headset, you'll have to read the manual (RTFM) for it.

Geez, you can't even search for yourself? Are you sure you're intelligent enough to be using this "high tech" equipment? Maybe you should box it all up, take it back to the store, and get a flip phone and analog watch.

Disable auto-answer on Gear

Whenever I answer the phone ON my phone, it redirects the audio to the Gear. Is there an option to stop that?
I turned off Bluetooth Voice/Audio in the Bluetooth settings but then it completely disables the Gear. Any ideas?
I'm using the gear on a CM 4.4 S3, so no TW. That might be the issue right?

Ya that's exactly the issue. Your phone sees the watch as a headset so it will always send it to the watch.

As far as I know you need a Samsung device that supports it or If you do have the right device you need a two rom. I don't think there's any other way. Your watch is running tizen, not even Android so there isn't much you can do.

It works fine for me with a BT headset and a Gear 2. Just a guess, but make sure you do not have "Incoming calls" checked in Gear Manager>Settings.
I'm on the Nexus 5 for outgoing calls immediately translates into Gear 2 Neo. Nexus 5 perceives it as a bluetooth headset. Somebody decided this issue?

Bluetooth disconnects

So I have my gear s and lg paired to phone. Just got the gear vr and it plays nicely, the lg tones work well, but I get a bluetooth disconnected popup continuously every few seconds. I am hoping someone has an idea of how to fix. Currently on firekat rom v5. Thanks everyone.
