Build number question

I have an AT&T N1...after throwing some custom roms on there, I went back to a stock rom with build number ERE27. From my understanding this is a t-mobile build number.
Should I be running a build number for AT&T? If so, which one is it?
Will this build prevent me from an OTA update to Froyo?
TIA

[Q] Baseband updated but not the build number

Hi,
Great site BTW, some very cool things happening here.
Yes I'm a noob and figured that Q + A would be the best place to post a question!
so, I've trawled throguh the site looking for the best answer to my question and have not found one.
I found a post by someone with the same problem, but without an answer.

Basically, I downloaded Flashtool to update my baseband and build number.
My baseband is now 015, but my build is still 2.0.2.A.0.24.
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong??

The 2.0.2.A.0.24 is the build string of your ROM ...
Seems you're still running the genuine Sony Ericsson Android 2.0 update 2 ROM.
Last update ever released for the X8 was 2.1.1.C.0.0.
Baseband 015 just means that you updated the baseband (everything below the ROM ... kernel, loader, GSM/UMTS radio parts) to the latest version ever released by Sony Ericsson.
EDIT: In case you are not referring to the build string of the ROM but really to the build string of the baseband ...
Baseband 006 has a build string of 2.0.2.A.0.24 (came with ROM of the same build version)
Baseband 015 has a build string of 2.1.1.A.0.6 (came with ROM of the same build version)
So, if you are getting a build string version of 2.0.2.A.0.24 on the BASEBAND you are still on Baseband 006

Yes, I'm still on genuine, but I have Android 2.1 Update 1.
Wanting to root, but I have read on here I need to update baseband and build first before doing so.
Wish I could get a screen shot to show you..
Looking under settings-->about phone I see
Baseband version is 015
Kernel version is 2.6.29
Build number 2.0.2.A.0.24
So do I have 2.1.1.A.0.6 if my Firmware version is 2.1 - update 1??

Samsung galaxy BuildNumber issue

After reading and researching for nearly a 1 week about N7000 Andriod Device ( i'm new to it) i finally picked up from a friend of mine the galaxy Note N7000, he said he already has updated it to jelly bean 4.1.2 which i confirmed through the settings menu but the device is running a little slow i'm thinking of rooting it then booting a custom rom + kernel (i'm new to that as well) here is the information about the phone by the way he picked it up from United Arab Emirates a couple of years ago. I found a lot of guides and tutorials on XDA but the last letter on the BUILD NUMBER doesnt match thus i cant proceed to root or do anything else cause all the devices that were used had LSZ and Mine has LSB i was wondering also if it has any impact on the phone, i have no idea what to do.
Thanks in advance.
Model number GT-N7000
Andriod Version 4.1.2
Baseband: N7000XXLSO
Kernel Version 3.0.31-906407

Even i researched a lot abot rooting and found that my build number doesnt match with the given one.
then i found out that the build number depends on the region you live. it is different for different countries.
i now found the matching build number root zip file
but will it wipe all my data ??

It actually is in your baseband version. I have MDM9625_104335.118.02.55.04R. That is the baseband from LRX22C.

So my baseband reads MDM9625_104335.118.02.035.03p so my modem ID is 03p? Seems kind of old - I just flashed latest Chroma (3/22) on T-Mobile
I'm running Chroma 5.0.2 final with the baseband mentioned above. Never seen your baseband number before and couldn't find anything about it.
Did you dirty flash Chroma 5.1 over a 5.0.2 version?

Didn't dirty flash - I did wipes... but when I got the phone it was on 5.0. So that's maybe where it came from. Is there any issue flashing just the 95R radio?
EDIT: SO I flashed a 95R zip and am now on baseband MDM9625_104335.118.02.035.95R with no issues at all so answered my own question. And thanks for all the help by those who answered.

People here are just not typing out the entire string, because they're lazy.
