Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with headset buttons.
I have a one button + mic headset and the only button is somehow mapped to volume up. I can't seem to modify any of the behavior using apps either. It is extremely weird.
Any thought or suggestions?

I heard that this one is maybe the solution for you, or use some alternative: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kober.headsetbutton
Fivecent did you resolve that issue? I have exact problem with my z3c.

Hi,
I've searched for a while for something like this, but can't seem to find anything. I'm looking for a way to remap either a softkey or any of the 6 buttons to turn on speakerphone, instead of having to use the often clumsy touchscreen to turn speaker on. Is there anyway to do this? It seems like remapping one of the keys would be easy, but I suppose I would need an app like the switch-to-vibrate, or alt-tab prgms to remap the key to? Anyone know of anything like that?
thanks in advance!
Hallo, try this:

This is not the solution but this might help you.
I'm also searching some super button combination to activate speakerphone via button when incoming connection arrives. The only possibility I found is to pick up the phone normally and than press and hold green button.

Is there a way to fix the in-line buttons of the headphones you get with the Diamond2 to not start calling people?
They are very sensitive, and I had some unwanted calls to people while listening to some music...
I can't find anywhere to configure this (WinMo settings "buttons" and "input" screens have nothing). IS there a way to disable those buttons or, better yet, make them useful for things like volume control?
same problem here, everytime i go by bike i call someone hitting the button somehow.
I mange to call people accidentily while walking down the street,
It needs to be able to lock itself while playing music or you need to press a particular button to lock-unlock.
I have a Noreve flip case coming soon maybe this will help to stop this problem.

if its not the headphones causing your problem you can simply turn your defice off while playing musik. it will keep on playing.
but the buttons in the cord don't "lock" if you switch it off
which basically is my problem

TouchLockPro locks all buttons, including the in-line buttons of the head-phones.
This solution worked fine for me and my Touch Diamond 2.

Is there a possible way to utilize the +/- button on headphones to 1 press and change the volume. I found an APP on Google Play called "Headset Button Controller" but it still doesn't seem to be able to recognize the Volume + and Volume - keys.
Any suggestions?
+1 I would love to know if this can be done. I have also had quite an extensive search on this issue and I have not been able to determine why this is not possible. I have seen apps that allow you to use the one button to increase or decrease sound by pressing 4 or 5 times (how stupid?!).
I have a set of Dre Beats (before people comment: if you don't like them I don't care) and want to be able to use the remote.
I have seen images of the headphone jack which has been pulled apart which indicate several connector rings, meaning that a remote control with three buttons should work. I would even settle for a stock remote from Samsung which allows you to connect your own headphones to it but nothing.
If anyone can shed any more light on this subject it would be greatly appreciated.
The white Samsung headphones that come with the SGN-7000 change the media volume when the up/down buttons on the headset are pressed.. or am i missing something here?

I would love to have an adapter where it have volume control and the receive/end call button and yet you can use your own 3.5mm earphones too.
The IEM with buttons that came with n7000 sucks moreover you cant use your own earphones
anyone managed to find such an adapter? :/
When I press the volume button to raise the level I am having issues. The phone will bounce back and forth one level between raising and lowering the level. After a good 30 seconds of trying this I get lucky and the volume raises. When I try to reduce the volume I have no issue.
Is anyone else having an issue with this? I feel that this is a hardware problem but I am wondering if this is a possible software issue.
Any help will earn my eternal love!!!
Perhaps this is related to the Safe Volume Level warning dialog box?

I don't think it's related. It only happens when the volume is at minimum.
nope nothing like that here. i am having a power button issue. it seems to be too sensitive. if i barley tap it it turns on the display. Is your moto x the same?
Try tapping the volume button not pressing too long. I'm having the same issue but I figure it out how to use it.
So, I just got a Moto X and I keep accidently shutting off the volume with the volume buttons. (I'm clumsy. I know)
Is anyone else doing the same thing?
Motorola said there is no way to shut them off in settings.
So, I just downloaded "Volume Locker" from the Google Play store and it seems to be working OK.
Does anyone have any better suggestions for a better method or app from disabling the Volume Up/ Down keys ???
Thanks.
