i just root my At&t Lg g flex 4.4.2 with Stump apk v1.2.0
Install StumpRoot
Run StumpRoot
Brute Force it
Reboot after app tells you to
Install SuperSU APK from market
Update SU binary and Reboot again
I was looking for a downgrade method too but this works you should try it again
That's what I did. Brute force took about 10 seconds.
No other method, but stump, worked for me.

Can one create a Nandroid Backup if their device was rooted using this method? I'd like to backup my configuration before moving the Safestrap, just in case something goes wrong. Thanks

Just a general observation about how things are moving for the xt1060 on 4. 4. 4:
lollipop is so close I don't think any developer will be working on completing a root method for now. in other words, stop thinking about root for a little while-- I am quite sure it's not going to happen until after lollipop is on your phone.
I don't think we need a q and a for a year old root exploit for a system no one is running

Yes, you can root the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900A)

ok so im trying to root my s5 so i can use my app radio touch screen function. Towel root doesn't work on my phone because its a newer kernal and has been "fixed". I was wondering if there was any other way to root my phone or at least make it permissive so i can use my app radio touch screen function to control the phone. I see there is talk about the guy who made the towel root working for google now so there is no way of getting an updated towel root. Anyone have any ideas?

I installed it this morning. It adds an "close all" button to the active apps list and the led is working now even in silent mode.
afaik the only option to root (especially with locked bootloader) is to downgrade to 23.0.A.0.93, root your device and than upgrade while retaining your root access.

pretty sure I read that the OTA update will remove root access.
The update will remove root no matter if it OTA or through computer, click here to go to a thread with pre rooted zips for this firmware
