I use gmail, and for me email went to the promotions tab. So try looking there, or go to All Mail folder, or check spam

thanks for the response. I've been waiting since thursday for an unlock code but no luck yet. I checked your suggestions but it does not seem to have arrived yet. Curious if motorola is having issues. thanks again
I got the response in about 15 seconds.. You may want to try again....
I received the bootloader unlock codes for the phones I have unlocked within 5 seconds of clicking the submit button.
Mine went to the spam folder within seconds of requesting.

OK. I was just going to say that giving your imei to random people isn't the best idea, but if he works for moto, then its fine I guess.

Yes I know it wouldn't be a good idea but I know who he is and he has been providing support for us, he is Matt the forum admin from the Moto support forum. I have my device registered with Moto so I don't believe anyone can do anything with the IMEI anyway since it isn't registered with the carrier. Thanks for looking out though I appreciate it.

I tried probably 10 times to get an unlock code using Chrome. When it would go to the final screen it was blank. Used Internet Explorer it went through the first time. Just an FYI
unlocked bootloader for my motox on attunlocked bootloader
Hi, I am totally blind, and it's really hard to navigate these forums, I tried to send a message to zat and the other motorola employee, but my screen reader doesn't read the imbeded objects very well. I understand in general that bootloaders are not unlocked for att devices, but with the overlay, my talkback screen reader doesn't work very well, so would like to gain root, to use a different rom or remove the overlay with titanium backup. If you guys could please make an exception, I love this phone and don't want to return it, or could you guys trade me for the developer adition or some way for me to resolve this problem. My email is [email protected], and I'd really appreciate you guys allowing me to unlock my bootloader or some resolution.
Thanks:
isaac

Thanks planktoid! I sent you a PM about my problem...any help would be appreciated!
when making a phone in motomaker.com you can set it to say 'whatever" when it turns on. For those of us who have flashed RSDlite is there a way to program that in? or can we use root explorer to do it? Or is that something that only can be done at Motorola?
Bump..anyone?

Hi all, just got the M8 and it's a great piece of hardware.
But I seem to be having an issue receiving multimedia messages. I was just wondering if anybody else was having an issue with MMSing.
I'm planning on calling Sprint and seeing what they can do for me tomorrow.

Check your mms settings. Is it set to 5mb size? I couldn't send set to that size either, but setting it to 2mb works.

Bummer, sorry I'm no help then.
I also had that problem. I called sprint. We went thru the usual checks. I ended up getting transfered to 2nd level support. I was getting the error " general failure...........". I ended up resetting the phone to stock(hard reset) to clear the problem. Something in the restore hosed up the phone.

Yes. Everything worked perfectly. I guess the M8 does not like to have messages restored.
I was having problems and the solution I found is
##72786# and then menu then reset. After reboot I ran activation.

It's probably either a scam that MAY work for some devices with similar exploits or actually works similarly to the way OEM's would flash a device. Not sure about everyone else, but I'm definitely leaning more towards the first option seeing as no one has root yet...
Definitely bs!!! If root had been achieved for our device you would read about it on every forum and every tech website example being android authority and def xda!!
Idk man. I downloaded the software for free. Anything is worth a try. What if the software actually worked? It's worth a try, right?

I think it does not work that way. We must have the box or dongle to run the software, you may have a payment system for unlocking attempts.
Is a slot machine to unlock.
I do not like dongles.
Who knows it may work? But the device itself costs $115-$135. So who's going to be the guinea pig?

Hmmm .. this does look interesting and I have no issues with purchasing one once confirmed - Claims it supports root on AT&T by flash ... I have a few guys at work that have Verizon S5's - they might want to get in and buy one - maybe we can be test

Last time I checked, I was a computer networker and run anti-virus, anti-malware,anti-spyware, and anti-adware. I know quite a bit about computers man but it may be worth a try with the dongle. I'm sure my system would automatically tell me if any of those were present. Just saying. Why would we be here on a developers site if we didn't know what a virus is?

Seems a little risky though, it says "Root by flash" whereas that could mean what I believe was done on an older version of the S4's firmware, where a temporary recovery was flashed in order to root. For the S5 and newer S4 firmware on AT&T and VZN, this would be impossible with the lockdown.
The software will only work with the dongle. It's not flashable to the phone itself.

One of my sons deleted the other's profile in the Magic Timer app (Oral B/Disney). Is there a way to recovery the data without root? I might even consider with root, but I'm a little nervous, being on Republic Wireless rooting my X2.
I'm really tempted to root my phone since it seems many of the recovery programs seen to require it, but I'm not sure if they'll actually do what I need to have done.

Sometimes the app keeps data of users on the own carpets the app creates when you install it. To access that carpets you need root.

I subscribed to the forum of Moto X 2014 and I can see all the topics as a list. But you need to see the post in a PC because you will need to download some files and flash it via fast boot.... Long story short, you can't root your phone via some app or something look me that.
