My xperia z is not rooted.. It's updated to 4.4.4...

Go to settings > personalisation > lock screen

What problem occurs when u try to change lockscreen wallpaper,????
I set a wallpaper in lock screen..but the wallpaper is not changing and also it says nothing like.. "eror","failed"etc..
Really weird... try to go to settings-apps-all apps, find Lock Screen and clear cache(and data if possible), then restart and try...
if nothing works out, you just gotta factory reset(which i hope you did anyways after installing 4.4)

Did u try different image...may be what image u are trying is corrupt or something...
If not working do a factory reset.. This is the easy solution for almost all little problems..

Press the menubutton when you are on the homescreen, there should be a option Lock Workspaces/Unlock Workspaces, Unlock them and you should be able to move/delete
Just unlock the workspace as said by gizmo. It should do the trick

im having a problem with my xperia v..when i first bought this phone,the lockscreen doesn't have ad back and home key..but now it does and i dont know how to make it go away..can anyone help me??the buttons are annoying..is this some kind of bug?i've just reset my phone but the problem still exist..can anyone help me?

all type of lockscreen..and i've just realised that my face unlock doesn't work..the face detector didn't show up when i want to unlock it..instead it shows up pin/pattern..

You didn't post any pictures? Anyway, to use different lockscreen other than the stock ones, you'd have to use a third party app or maybe be on a cm/aosp rom

I don't quite understand you here. Could you explain better what type of lock screen you want? Maybe link the image or something

im hving issues with the phone. Everytime i try accessing my settings im greeted very rudely with a dialog box asking me a security password which i dont know is how do fix this?
im attaching a screenshot please hve a look
Also im an indian user so hve indian firmware loaded with sony live(its sort of streaming channel) and stuff

wow thanks for the quick reply guys but i did not in anyway try to root or unlock the bootloader of the ph. from what i understand is required to mod it +1 to both of u
so yh i dont think i installed a mod and i dnt also it fixes itself at times if i restart the ph.
Try restoring the phone through sus? See if that works

It is Xperia XAlert. If you have already granted it device admin rights, there is nothing you can do. Try to uninstall it and see. Or Open it and see if you remember the password so that you can disable it.

anyway this is how i fixed it
i force restarted the ph. then downloaded a task manager and force closed x alert then i was able to access my settings from which i followed these steps
App is good for security but once you activate it and enable password for applications it gives you really bad annoying experience. To fix the issue, please do following:
If you have Screen lock = Pattern then you need to change it to PIN
Go to Settings => Security => Device Administrator and untick X - Alert for XPERIA
Now go to Settings => Apps => All = Select X - Alert for XPERIA
Click on Force Stop and do Clear Cache

I had encountered this problem. After I applying the theme I downloaded, when I go back to my locked screen, it does not change at all. The locked screen still just the same (Live Wallpapers).
My lock screen is not same as my theme. Anyone had this problem before? How can I solve this problem? Is this a bug?
Some helps needed badly.
My Xperia Z1 is non root.

Those themes that I downloaded, all is from Play Store's Sony Mobile Communications, their own profile.
But my locked screen still didn't change.

Ya. Even after restart my phone, it still appear the Xperia Live Wallpaper, instead of the theme lock screen wallpaper.

It remain the same. Nothing had changed. Even after I manually changed the wallpaper and restart my phone.

I'm not sure if Z1 latest firmware have this bug or not
But if you really want to change,try to make a reset or reflash the firmware...
