[Q] Choose best gingerbread rom ?

Hi all...
I'm really novice in this field so i need help from you guys ...
What is the best rom to choose to upgrade my galaxy s to android 2.3 ( Gingerbread)
and of course , can someone provide me with detailed instructions ?

I use all the time the last available ROM available on samfirmaware. I can say that is not the best way.
Have you tried CM7?

I dont want to be unpolite but: your question had been done dozen of times before.
If you go to development forum there is sticky with a list of main roms.

Just try this:
Topic -> Search ->Android Development GingerReal 7.1.4., best room btw.

JVQ is the latest f/w. Try stock JVQ or any of custom ROMs from development section.

N7000UBLSF Android 4.1.2 for Ultimate Jelly Bean ROM

Dear All,
I have updated my note 1- GT n7000 with Ultimate Jelly bean ROM. One help required is do we have a N7000UBLSF Android 4.1.2 firmware which i can use with this ROM. Also steps to be followed will be useful. I have checked that we can update firmwares but want to double confirm as it seems UBLSF has a better battery backup.

Yes, flash a gingerbread ROM and kernel. They're the best :good:
Or alternatively, try out each and every rom until you find your 'best' ROM I.e. one which you like best.

Is general section being converted to general+q&a section? Mods where are you can't you see these questions in general section..??

Due to the type of responses and likelihood of these kinds of threads to degenerate into bickering, "Best ROM" threads are generally not allowed. Everybody's situation is different and opinions will vary. Try them out for yourself and see what works for you.

Even though your a newbie, it doesn't stop you tring out different ROMs, searching until you find the best ROM for you. No one else can tell you what the best ROM is because that is the best ROM for them, not for you.

Hi Friends,
What are the Latest Rom's (both stock and custom rom's) available for Samsung galaxy S Advance ? .I am currently using Ginger bread (I9070XXLK2) .I am thinking to Flash my mobile to a latest stable firmware.I am searching a rom which is "Bug free, Speed ,Smooth performance and reasonable battery life" .Can any one suggest a suitable Rom for me?

"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion,and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.
