This flashable zip overwrites our custom recovery after flashed?
Coz a custom recovery (like TWRP/CWM) prevents me from using a PC,
If these zip flashes also the recovery back to stock, then we cant go back/revert back from Nandroid without a PC..
Just a simple question, but I put mu reasons why.. Heheh.
Thanks by the way for sharing the ROM..

this is safe to flash rom even without "recovery-from-boot" but all in all this Rom does not rewrite your current recovery

Hi, thank you for this ROM. Can I flash it over CM11 without factory reset? Is the radio module updated too?

i'm getting battery usage data not available when i check the battery status in notifications

Many thanks
Planning on trying the CM12 kangs. This zip will allow me go from CM12 to stock through a simple flash.

plz do wipe cache (or even factory reset if you come from custom rom), every thing is Ok here

Wiped and install, however after one reboot the back/home buttons are missing and the notification bar isn't showing either.
Did a factory reset and still nothing.

Strange, this is pure stock with Zero modification.... I have no such issue here and think no one niether has this! Did you flash any seperate mod?

I tried the other stock Lollipop floating around and had the same issue. Ended up having to pull the image directly from Google. It's good to go now.
No other mods were flashed.

I had the same issue.
I updated to the latest TWRP, I then factory wiped. cleaned cache, and dalvik.
Then installed this stock rom from scratch with the instructions here and it fixed the issue.
Give it another go...
I am trying to remember the exact details. But this was almost 2 weeks ago, and I might be missing a step?
Hope not...

[Troubleshooting] (CM 10.2) Stuck at boot screen after reboot

Many of us are facing this problem where after flashing a 10.2 ROM and rebooting, the device is stuck at boot screen- the Samsung N7000 screen!
This is a strange problem which seems to be affecting only some n7000 handsets as others can keep flashing the ROMs without any issues...wiping, reflashing ROM, etc doesn't work!
I myself faced this problem on almost all custom CM 10.2 Roms and am sharing the solution which worked for me. At the onset, this solution was suggested to me by another member @Super Prince in one of my posts and it worked!!
1. Reboot into recovery
2. Flash the correct gapps once again
3. Reboot
The problem should be gone now and no more stuck-iness for you...

I tried that, and it did not work.
I'm not using the regular Gapps package, but this one:

Really? I'll try it next time when I flash some CM based ROM and will get this problem.
I hope it is really the reason.

Which CM version are you on? This method has worked for me every time on CM 10.2 roms and official CM 10.2 gapps (the one dated 13/08/2013)
I used to get stuck on the GT N7000 screen after every reboot and resorted to all sort of stuff like reflashing, formatting and stuff but to no avail.
The only solution that worked for me was re-flashing the gapps!
Maybe you should try once again with the official gapps..and post your results.

I'm on Carbon, but I tried another CM based ROM as well and it did not work.
I will try it with the official Gapps and Slim Gapps then report back.
EDIT 1: Well. I tried the lastest Carbon nightly 10/17, with both Slim Gapps and normal regular Gapps and the same result, stuck on boot logo.
Both times I flashed a clean install. I'm out of options now.
EDIT 2: When I'm using a kernel from 4.3 and I'm on CWM trying to format Preload, I always get this message:
E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p12
Error formatting /preload
Could that be a possible reason?, does anyone else have that same message?
No suggestions?
Am I'm stuck on 4.2?
Sent from my GT-N7000
It's the same for all on the new Cwm. Preload cannot be formatted in Cwm 10.2.
What happens when you clean install a rom without gapps. And boot it.?

I tried that last night actually, clean flash and no Gapps and the same result, stuck on boot screen.
What I've tried so far:
- Flashing different 4.3 ROMs with three different Gapps combinations.
- Flashing Carbon with no Gapps.
Thank you in advance for any ideas you can provide.
I have never encountered such an issue after a clean flash ever. So not sure what's going on there.
When a clean install, do you format system, data and cache and then install the new rom?

Yeah, what I do is to do a factory reset twice, then clear cache, then preload twice, data once, system twice and dalvik twice, and only then I flash the ROM and then Gapps.
I let it settle for one hour and then I start the configuration.
It is weird, because if I leave it to boot up normally for the first time, without opening any apps or configurations, it reboots normally. And only when I open Settings or an app, and then I reboot the phone, it gets stuck on the boot logo.
I've even tried to format the SD Card and no difference.
tried without the external SD card inserted?

@SirRhor Please try anothjer work-around before you do anything else:
1. Do all the wipes from a safe kernel
2. Flash Rom (only rom and no gapps)
3. Reboot the system without gapps
4. Now, reboot into recovery (I prefer to leave the system for 10-15 minutes to settle down before rebooting)
5. Flash the correct gapps
6. Reboot and set up ur google account etc.Restore apps or whatever u need from the play store. Dabble with rom settings
7. Reboot!
Did it work now?

maybe your bootloader corrupted already. Reflash the bootloader only or whole stock rom using ODIN may help ..
I'm glad to inform you that I was able to solve my problem following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2427569
But instead of flashing the Stock Rooted ROM using Odin, I just flashed it within Philz Recovery.
Right now I'm changing settings and restarting on Carbon 4.3, and so far I have not had any problems.
To anyone experiencing this, just read this thread so you will not waste your time trying ALL the bullcrap I did and instead just try the guide above.
Thank you for everyone who helped me out.
EDIT: Maybe the OP can change the title of this thread to "FIXED" or "SOLVED".

Actually, I found a better more permanent solution.
Follow this guide to check for errors on the different partitions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396366
Let me know if it helps.
And to answer your question, I flashed a stock ROM from Hungary I think, no problems.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, instead of using the switches described on that guide, I used -f and -y at same time.

you can flash any of the zips with "system" in the name; the names are self explanatory.
it isn't necessary to flash boot (but doesn't hurt) unless you are upgrading from an earlier stock build or coming from an aosp/cm/cm-variant build.
it isn't necessary to flash radio (but doesn't hurt) unless you are upgrading from an earlier stock build or have done the gsm hack and want to undo it.

what did you have installed before trying to flash? as i mentioned, if you're coming from a stock build prior to 98.30.1 or from aosp/cm, you need to flash the boot image. if you're not even getting to the bootanimation, this is likely the issue. if you're coming from an earlier stock build, you should also flash the radio. if you boot loop on the animation, you need to wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache.

if you know of a good massage app, i'd like to know what it is, especially if it gives happy endings lol.
if you mean "message" which i imagine you do, there are various messaging apps available on the play store, the most notable being google hangouts which now has sms integration.
the purpose of this rom is to remove all unnecessary apps that can be downloaded from the play store, so you're not stuck with a bunch of bloat that you don't want or need. there are replacements for the phone, contacts, camera, and gallery as well...

yes, wifi tether is unlocked, as mentioned in the op.
as for wifi, there's no reason it shouldn't work, as i didn't modify anything that has to do with it. i'd recommend wiping everything except internal and external storage, then flashing boot, system, and radio to ensure a clean install. please post if you still have issues after doing that.

You need another kernel. When M-Bootlader and M-radio and TWRP are installed you can install a custom rom like JDX and supersu. Check the OP of the JDX thread.

Thanks for the help NLB. I was thinking of something like that along those lines. Can you provide me with a link to the JDX rom? I searched for it and found very little, except some antiquated threads that dont relate to what I'm trying to do. And you were correct, the first thing I did was install TWRP on 5.1.1.
Unless this is the one,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development/rom-jdx-1-0-t3121053
Would I then install this after flashing back 5.1.1/twrp then go with this? I'm not really sure what you meant by flashing the M-bootloader and radio, would that be after twrp gets flashed?
Look for chainfire's SuperSU beta version 2.52 and also for a modified stock boot.img . This worked fine for me. You can flash the modified boot.img using Wugfresh's advance utilities if you aren't comfortable using the fastboot flash commands.

You need to scroll down to first post section "Instructions" and follow them to the T.
Instructions
0. ensure you are on twrp 2.8.7+ for recovery!
1. flash bootloader if not already on JDX 4.0.x (download flashable bootloader zip)
2. flash radio if not already on JDX 4.0.x (download flashable radio zip)
3. reboot recovery
4. flash ROM
5. format data partition if not already on M
6. boot ROM and sit your phone down for 10 minutes (seriously, things need to finish setting up!)
Download files from here: http://4ndr01d.com/repos/shamu/jdx/
Perfect. Thanks so much. I'm going to do this today. I will update when finished. I'm assuming I need to take the files dated 10/6?

If you have completed step 4. flash ROM you are good to go. Type "yes" to confirm and format. First boot will take some time. Then you give it 10 minutes to set up things under the hood.

Worked! I have my led lights back, my speed and the warm phone again!
A few days later and I'm very happy with the rom. Everything I need!

[please help] [ROOT PROBLEM] [NEED SYSTEMUI.APK] Navigational Keys Gone

Yesterday, I downloaded the app softkeyz and used it to change my Navigational Keys to something different.
But after I rebooted, instead I saw that my status bar was gone and that my keys are gone. I also couldn't change my wallpaper.
So, After comprehensive searching on XDA, I figured out it was a SYSTEMUI.apk problem. But I couldn't find a moto G 2014 systemui.apk to install.
So now I'm looking for advice, a moto G systemuiapk I'm also wondering if flashing a theme will help. Thanks in Advance!
Current Rom ?
Try flashing some different rom.
@ArtRahul
I have never really flashed a rom. But I have TWRP, what rom do I flash?

Whichever you want, pal. Try with Cyanogenmod to begin. Peek over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development if you want

Yup, just go download any custom rom with their respective gapps (CynogenMod 12.1 is recommended though), and then
Steps :
1. Backup your current rom setup,(helps if something goes wrong )
2. Wipe Dalvik Cache, Cache, System and Data, from wipe [Do NOT wipe internal/external storage].
3. Install(flash) the rom zip and gapps.
4. Again wipe cache and dalvik cache.
5. You are ready to reboot to system.
:good:
Well, flashing a custom rom isn't the exact solution @op if you haven't fixed this problem yet and don't wish to flash a custom rom, what firmware were you using?

Reflash the firmware and root it again
Or simply push SystemUI.apk to system via adb and give it right permissions.

Anyway to maybe remove the data wipe? or add two versions? System wipe makes sense obviously lol unless there's no way this would work over stock rooted lollipop

May I ask what you used to Deodex? I have also Deodexed my device, but had to brutally debloat it. Settings.apk didn't function correctly, syscope, smartcardmanager and a couple of others forced closed repeatedly.. I'll take a look at this, but wondering what you used to Deodex this..

Yes, I used this tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/tool-deodex-tool-android-l-t2972025
I tried SuperR's Kitchen with no luck. Surprisingly, SVADEV's tool seemed to handle the job in a smarter way at least for this build.

Super R was the first thing I tried.. In the Tools folder he has old and new oatdex files.. I tried both with little success.. I had to brutally debloat and lost my finger print scanner.. Setting.apk would force close on security settings..
Thanks for the link.. I'll take a look at it..
I don't have the time to flash the ROM, but I'll install it later on tonite..
Edit: you could copy the oat2dex file from that Deodexer script to Super R, in the Tool/Smali directory.. that should allow proper deodexing in Super R..

Does this ROM break encryption? Thanks!

My guess is that it will break encryption since the zip wipes data (data partition is encrypted)...but if it doesn't, who knows if the phone will boot. You will need a usb-otg to flash from since twrp wont be able to read the SD card partition.
I do know that I could not encrypt my phone with the patched kernel, I had to use the stock kernel. Once encrypted, I was able to flash super su to root the phone, but twrp was all kinds of red because it could not mount the data partition. Since it won't mount, you don't have a way to "nandroid backup" your phone.
Flashfire might be the solution for backing up encrypted phones, I made 2 backups with flashfire, though I haven't tried to restore. I think flashfire works with the encryption because it does not reboot until after its done, and it seems the phone is decrypted when it runs.

Did a complete wipe, already had the updated bootloader and was previously on Stock 6.01. Did a total wipe in TWRP, flashed the ROM, wiped Dalvik/Art and Cache again to be sure.. Then rebooted.. Sitting on 20 mins and no boot... Stuck in a bootloop..
I got a boot loop when i flashed TWRP

I could have sworn TWRP had a way to mount encrypted partitions now. Did it ask you for a password when you entered TWRP?

The instructions tell you to use and links to a specific version of TWRP, yet you somehow missed that.
You stated in this post that you used Twrp 3.0 and only used the Twrp version linked in the instructions after you bootlooped, smh: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...stuck-loop-t3360447/post66404317#post66404317

Thanks but I didn't realize that I removed volte. Can you see if it works with the non-debloated version?
