Motorola X4 Models :
-XT1900-01 USA Carrier Friendly / Project Fi Model
-XT1900-07 Amazon Alexa Model
I spoke to Motorola to find out model numbers and if the 01 Model is Bootloader Unlockable, and unfortunately it is not.
what? then how come is root only tested and working allegedly on xt1900-1? I'm getting so confused haha. I only know mine is xt1900-6.
The bootloader is unlockable on the XT1900-01
I want to get this phone, but I'm afraid of getting the wrong phone for Verizon and getting stuck with a locked bootloader phone.

no. that's motorola usual unlocking process, completely safe unless YOU do something wrong, of course.

Yes hope for the best.
From what we've been able to discern from testing is just the opposite of what the CS agent told you. The Amazon version is the one you can't unlock the bootloader (probably because they are afraid you can disable the lock screen ads that way). Nobody's paid Amazon yet to remove them (apparently you can pay the difference between the "with ads" version and the regular retail price if you want Amazon to remove them), so we don't know if that enables bootloader unlock or not.

I'm pretty certain there is no Verizon version of the X4.
AFAIK, in the US there are three versions:
Amazon Prime Ads
Android One
Unlocked for all major carriers

I didn't mean to imply that any version of the X4 would not work on Verizon. My wife has the US Unlocked X4 and we use Verizon.
I mean to say that Verizon does not sell the X4. There is no Verizon branded X4, that I know of.
I have the Amazon version with ads and Alexa but my model# is :XT1900-1
Will I be able to unlock the bootloader?

Follow the instructions on this website (to see if it can be unlocked) - You don't have to actually unlock the device.

So let me get this straight, I could buy the Google Fi version and pop my Moto x pure Sim card in and activate the phone on Verizon's network correct?

I have an N920A but I didn't but it from AT&T, I bought it unlocked from Amazon. The reason I'm posting is that I had the option to OEM Unlock the device and I would venture a guess that it is actually working. So my question is that is there any way in which I can root or install a custom ROM.

has there been any workaround for unlocking the boorloader. i remember with the htc one xl in early development we hex edited the user id to all 1111111 witch gave us super user. i am not a developer. just a long time lover of android.
also magisk has a patch boot method. i take it we need the bootloader first?
any help is appreciated.
has anyone set up a bounty for work on the at&t us phones

Nope. The Bootloader can not and never will be unlocked. If you have to have an unlocked bootloader then I suggest through N960F Exynos version.

Not on the US models
Unlocked bootloaders for a AT&T device has been unachievable since the S4 days. I'm assuming the security key to unlock it, is on a USB, hanging around the CEO neck.

Hi, I apologize if this is easy info to find, I have tried to search but have been unsuccessful.
I have an unlocked s20fe, I am missing some vzw features, mainly video calling. Can anyone tell me...
1. Is it possible to flash this device
2. Can I find a vzw official rom? Or one based off of it?
I have been out of the rom/root game since back in the days of the note 3 and razr Maxx. So I apologize for my current ignorance.
Thank you for your help!

Not true. There are paid services that will unlock the bootloader, though folks may not be comfortable with the method and price.

How about a vzw rom? Any link to a reputable service? None of the devices that I used in the past had "unlocked bootloaders". They were all dependant upon an exploit that someone took advantage of, so not really concerned if it is not an 'official' unlock. Thanks for the help!
Bump for a link?
Is EU version SM-G780FZBDEUB rootable? I am buying unlocked https://d.pr/i/vwfVEY. If it isnt then perhaps I will go with Oneplus 8T

Yes all US Note 9's have locked bootloaders. If you want one with an unlocked bootlader then buy the international Snapdragon model which has a unlocked bootloader.
