Hi,
Just got a galaxy tablet but I'm not receiving notifications when I get an email like I do with my Xperia Z3.
When I receive an email I am instantly notified, like you are with an SMS, with my Z3. I am using the Email application that came with the tablet. Any ideas?
The stock app should be old, so install a third party app or flash a KitKat ROM.

Hey guys!
Recently, I bought an HTC One and because I'm switching from a Nexus device, I installed as many stock Android apps as possible from the Play Store.
Including the stock SMS app, which seems to bring some problems:
1. Even after disabling notifications inside the Sense SMS app, it still has influence on the unread counter. My new android stock SMS app now always shows a "(1)" on its icon, even if there are no unread messages. After starting the sense stock messaging app once, the counter disappears ...but only till a new message comes in.
2. I often get a "message not sent" notification when using the android stock SMS app, but the message is being sent though. Some seconds later the message is marked as sent and everything is okay (Transmission report is active).
Do you have any ideas how to fix these issues? The easiest way would be to disable the sense messaging app, but I'd like to leave my bootloader locked for a while, so I'm looking for a solution without having root.
Bump
Any ideas?
1. When I first paired my Neo with my Note 3 I would receive text notifications on my Neo when I got a new one. I installed Fleksy and uninstalled it and now I don't receive the text notifications anymore. Any ideas? Yes, I made sure notifications for the Message app are on.
2. I have yet to get SVoice to work on the Neo since I got it, It just keeps saying connecting then eventually says failed to connect.
I never used that app and I still haven't received text notifications. Only when I used the new Google Messenger app I received them. So I think it's an update problem.

Just received my Z3C from the Sony store yesterday. Moving from an Iphone 6. I've tried the stock app, Textra, and Chomp but can't seem to get any of them to badge the icon with the amount of new text waiting. I have it turned on in the Chomp settings. Mail and other apps seem to be working fine. Anyone have a clue?
Thanks
Hi guys, on my P9 EVA-AL10 B377, I'm experiencing lack of push notification from native email application since official Nougat update.
Even when opening the email app, mails are not synchronizing despite refreshing the list. Actually, the whole app looks disconnected from network. I did try to send emails from the phone, they get stuck in the sending box. I sent emails to the phone, they are not received by the native application (it's working with a third party application).
Only solution up to now is to turn off and on the phone ... Until the problem comes back again a few hours later.
Additionnaly, third party app "myMail" does not get notification badges (the red circle on the icon) and I cannot insert this application in the dropzone (I cannot find this option to send an app in the dropzone anymore).
Any help ?
try inbox by gmail lol
I finally took the plunge and upgraded to Build NW01.170623.001 (I was previously on Android Wear 1.5). Following the upgrade my Gmail notifications have stopped, even though I have the Gmail app turned on for notifications in the Android Wear app on my phone. I'm not sure if any other apps are sending notifications yet. I do get a notification when I get an incoming call, so there is some communication with the phone.
Any idea how I can get my Gmail notifications back?
