Hello,
is it possible to replace icons which are saved in res/mipmap folders instead in res/drawable (Google apps use these folders for launcher icons)? If yes, how to do it?
Thanks for your answers.

Click to collapse
To do this you need to update the individual apps. In each apk you have a folder res\drawable (may be drawable-hdpi or drawable-hdpi-v4). in that folder there is a file ic_launcher_xxx.png, where xxx is the apps name, that is the icon. You need to grab the apps from whatever ROM you are using (some ROMs have modifications already so taking it from stock may remove some functionality), replace the icons, and return the apps.
Hope that helps
Hi I am using X8 with rooted and custom ROM from froyobread.I just have a question to ask about folders.
In my nokia 5530 I can create folders inside the menu and move other menu items inside that folder.
But is there a way to organise menu items into a folder and rename the folders in X8
Thanks in advance

Hey everybody.
I love the new icons in JellyBean (XLS7) but i use Nova Launcher because i like it more because of Launcher Backups, Folders and so on.
I use Alliance ROM - Is it possible to extract the Icons like Gallery, Camera, Browser and so on - and use them in Nova?
I know i can use png's in Nova but i dont know how to extract the TW Icons
Hope you can help me !
Bye
Erich
Extract the alliancerom.zip and you can find all the apps either in system/app or data/app
For example,If you need to extract the camera icon, then go to system/app/samsungcamera.apk
Then extract samsungcamera.apk and go to res folder
You could see a set of drawable folders and there you can find the app icon:good:
