Hi,
I've converted my M7 (Telstra, Australia) to GPe 5.0.1 the usual way (S-off, change CID, then flashed the correct RUU rom (RUU-HTC_One_GE-5.0.1-5.11.1700.3_rooted)).
All is working fine - making calls/SMS, recieving calls/SMS, mobile data. But I have a circle+cross (that looks like the no signal icon) in my notification bar. I cannot make it go away.
Any ideas?

It just showed up with the official rooted ROM, hadn't been there in the EclipticOne KitKat ROM I'd been running.

It tells you NFC is on. Its been there since I can remember. Maybe you just didn't have it on. Annoying little thing, isn't it?
Yeah, I've always had NFC on, I guess it was just always hidden... Thanks for the info!
This can be removed fairly easily if you're rooted. Tried it this morning and the icon is gone.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the browser bar setting in settings when changing the CID so that AT&T icons appear?

Branded phone or unlocked?

I'm using ARHD 60.0 Sense 6.0, 4.4.2, I have an unlocked AT&T HTC One, hate the stock LTE icon so I always switch to the AT&T ones usually by changing the CID in /system/customize/ACC/default.xml to 7 but now I'm getting the Browser bar setting.
HTC One M7 1.29.401.13, H-boot 1.44 unlocked bootloader, S-ON, Cid 032

This icon is always present, with and without SIM card inserted
*restored the phone to stock ROM
*tried different SIM
*airplane on & off few times
no change !
When I use dialer, Connection problem or invalid MMI code message pops up
in service menu, network is set to to WCDMA,
tape solution makes no sense, that icon is always present

You should be fine, I think its a rom and kernel combo problem. I had it while using viperone and a kernel (either elemental or bulletproof) i cannot remember which one. It would make the settings screen completely unusable as I couldn't see anything. It went away after flashing stock I have not had it again :good:
Does anyone know why my signal status icon is greyed out when wifi is connected instead of just disappearing? I've got a Rogers XT1058 and when I'm running the Rogers OTA it doesn't happen. But every time I try to flash anything else, I get the greyed out icon. Is this the way it looks for everyone else? Here's what I'm talking about:

Anyone? Just want to know if this is what everyone else is seeing. On every other ROM, phone, etc I've ever used the signal type icon goes away when WiFi is connected.
