Updated 6/11/15
This page is a work in progress. I will be adding thread links to all of the items listed.
I have contacted most of the developers whose files are hosted. If you have any objection to your work being mirrored in my repo, please PM me and I will remove it.
I am exploring other hosting options as well and this will likely be completed when I have some time.
This thread is dedicated to my Nexus4 file repository on bit.ly/makostuff.
Just about everything listed here can be found in the repository.
My goal is to have all useful items for the Nexus4 available in one place.
Please feel free to post suggestions for tools that you feel may be useful for users.
Please don't post (Especially Don't PM ME) asking about the specific items, but go to that specific thread and post your questions there.
I will post notifications for new profiles created here as well as the kernel thread.

You can find the info if you look up their threads.
Cerberus disguised doesn't show in app menu, and is flashable zip.
CM App installer is self explanatory
Mash up isn't for the N4, but is a fix for XBMC users to fix the Mashup addob that was shutdown.
Use of Device specific codec is self explanatory.
Patch pie - bypasses pie security check.

Hi, I'll elaborate on my questions.
MX player itself chooses codecs when installed from play store. Are these codecs improved/modified/enhanced in some ways for better performance, or the same as on play store.
Also Cerberus is paid app from play store. How would licence part be addressed if installed in recovery.
Thanks
Can @sykopompos, @gorilla p or anyone who's into such stuff tell us if those build.prop tweaks actually give us better and smoother performance? Or are they obsolete now with Android 5? There is a lot of confusion as we tend to bloat the build.prop file with lame commands. And this confusion will keep existing till some dev explains.

Either go to the thread that is linked and ask about it there of just check it out real quick
Each of those options is a lot faster than asking someone else to give you a details explanation of something you can find on your own quite easily.

That's a fair question. I have just continued to add them as they haven't caused any issues. Most of them are pretty basic as well.
I'm curious however to know if they have been worked into L/5 at this point of if they are still required.
However, the ones to force GPU for UI and 3d animations, T-Mobile specific ones and DNS entries will still be needed.
In regard to the bitrates, idk if they have improved this in some fashion.
Could one of the ROM devs provide some input on this?

Most of dalvik ones are gone, some are still there. As far as data, there has been some pretty big changes to the connectivity manager so most of then can be gone now. The dalvik and bionic optimizations are for 4.4 only
Best way to find build.prop changes is to grep the aosp source for them. I had a list of all them at some point

I agree with that :good:
I used fix iphones back when the iphone 3G came out and then moved on to jailbreaking them and unlocking them up until iphone 4 became widespread...
after finally dumping that whole garbage ios kindergarden play and finally getting a my Atrix last year, I still don't understand why people buy iphones..
you can virtually customize everything inside out on the Android platform and its more social to share ideas and instead of "rebuilding the wheel", build on what's already been established to make progress... it's still beyond my comprehension to see people and my friends love their iphones when these android builds run circles around them.. glad to hear everyone is enjoying this build, i spent a lot of time testing everything out on my phone before posting it here to avoid spreading bugs so its nice everything is smooth so far... great way to start the week
hey man.. thanks!!!! downloading and test now...
Bazilians fãs incoming......
I may have to give this rom a try. Currently on cm7.2-stable-release and have very few complaints aside from slow GPS and slower than normal data speeds. Came from JokersCM9 which I found great aside from wonky web browsing. I can't complain too much because cm7.2-stable is very stable as daily driver and I get really nice battery. But my flashitis is starting to flare up again. Why can't I ever be content with a rom.
Isn't ADW EX the paid version of the app though? If it is it isn't right to include that in your rom.

A quote from his description above: Added es Explorer & MiLocker for some eye candy
Replace the boring adw launcher with the adw ex launcher and included the Gala theme which is pictured in the snapshots below, looks very clean and elegant with this theme\launcher combo
Also would be curious who created the add themes in the theme zip, bet you will find they are other peoples hard work also.
Please do not post warez. ADW EX is a paid application from the Google Play Store. You are not authorized to package it inside of your ROMs. You can edit your post with a new download link for your ROM once you have taken ADW EX out. Thank you.
Sorry about that, don't know what i was thinking but I did replace the original ADW Launcher that compiles with the CM7 source code, the free version it originally comes with, I removed the ADW Launcher EX and any other themes that weren't free in the Play store and everything included can also be found in the Play store for FREE so everything is straight now, apologies around the table
is this based on CM 7.2??

yes, it's based off the 7.2 and using the 1.00GHz EXT4 Unified CM7 kernel that already included in the rom
Its a mistake but it can get you and this forum in trouble. Thanks for being understanding and fixing it quick, its a good rom and sure alot of people here will be grateful!

I've learned a tremendous amount of information through this forum and have always found myself going back to XDA in the end of any of my technical developer questions I used to google years ago before I even joined here.
So I have an enormous amount of respect for the forum and everyone on here, I was just trying to enhance the GUI a bit by using the ADW EX version I pulled from my old backups, didn't think anyone would even notice really to even comment on it. What I forgot to realize was what makes this forum different and successful over any other similar places online is how people do respect rules and follow the proper developer etiquette of respecting other people's hard work and respect the work that not free and has to be paid for.
Now a days with all these torrents online and everything being shared so freely, people sometimes forget to respect the hard work of others and not infringing on their work by sharing out paid .apk files for free. So I do apologize for not considering such fact, I had no intention of just sharing paid anything for free. I just wanted to include a better version of the free ADW Launcher but didn't think that it's ADW Ex which has to be paid for and cannot be shared for obvious reasons.
I'm not trying to step on anybody's toes here and won't make the mistake again in the future, thanks to sammcripp for letting me off with just a warning and not deleting my post entirely.

I just ran the benchmark again, got 2959 this time, still above the Motorola ATRIX 4G, faux123 really deserves most of the credit here for his kernel work, truly a great enhancement mod on performance
And just go into MiLocker and browse their Online Lockscreen section to find one you like. That picture of the monster on the lockscreen was just my favorite, I didn't make it the default with the rom, you shouldn't have that as your lockscreen by default, but you can do a lot through MiLocker, browse around in there, theres a lot you can customize
Just did another quick experiment with Clemsyn's CyanoElite 1.0 kernel and ran the benchmark with it to get the score up a bit
ClemsynCyanoElite1.0.zip Download Here
It's a CWM flashable zip like all the kernel zip files, just wipe cache before flashing
Here's the snapshot of the benchmark using Clemsyn's kernel
Cf bench is better and fully utilizes dual core phones like the atrix.

This ROM is now significantly more stable and usable than it was before. It is now suitable to be flashed by anyone that want's to check out basically a stock AOSP build of Android 4.0.4 with a few CM tweaks included. There will still be bugs, just report them to me so I can fix it
If anyone wants some screenshots, they are attached to this post.
This CM9 ROM is more of a stock AOSP build than a CM9 build. There aren't many tweaks available in the system section of settings yet, however as a consequence the ROM feels very smooth and responsive. As far as I can tell with my own testing, only the camera isn't working properly and the GApps don't seem to play very nice with this ROM for some reason. They install fine and you have access to the Play store etc, but Google Maps and other apps aren't installed it seems. Easy fix just go to the play store and download what you need.
Changelog
Code:
V1.0 Aug14/12
-USB/SD Card mounting now works
-Removed GApps (Available as seperate package)
-Wifi/USB tethering works
-Updated Trebuchet
-Added No-Frills CPU Control (I like it better than performance settings, can set it up so that OC values won't be applied if system unexpectedly shuts down)
-More stable
V0.5Beta Aug08/12
-Initial Release
-Apex launcher, ES File explorer, LordModUV, Auto-Rotate Switch, Titanium Backup apk's added to ROM
-Jellybean boot animation
-Smooth, fluid usage.
-Overclocking works without problems.
-Theme Manager works
-Wifi,3G,HSPA, etc all work.
Bugs
Code:
-Camera doesn't work
-Android Terminal Emulator crashes; Fix - Update app in Play Store. (My bad forgot to fix that, next release will be fixed)
-Gallery app doesn't work. Fix - Use Quickpic or other 3rd party gallery apps.
-Titanium Backup doesn't work. Fix - Use Rom Toolbox pro to restore your apps.
-Backing up apps doesn't work, can only restore apps.
-You tell me!
As I said, this is still a major work-in-progress and will have updates coming. I don't have internet at home right now, I'm only 18 and just moved out on my own a month ago and can't yet afford internet. Uploading my ROMs will happen at my parent's house whenever possible, so updates will sometimes be delayed.
My intentions with this ROM are to eventually build out more features in the "System" tweaks section as I learn how to implement them. I want to eventually make this a much more feature-fillled ROM. Right now, however my immediate attention is on fixing whatever bugs pop up in this ROM. For the most part, its very smooth and I have encountered very few hiccups/lag. Feature implementations will come slow however, as I don't yet know how to do it. I'll be learning so don't worry, it'll come eventually!

My pleasure! This ROM is the culmination of 4-5 weeks of studying any android guide I could find, decompiling many ROMs and apks, and countless nights left staring at the white HTC screen when my ROM fails to boot.
Although this ROM is also proof that anyone with no background experience in programming/software development can get involved in Android dev work! It takes a lot of time and dedication, but it's worth it in the end when you finally have something you can call your own. (Granted I used a CM9 base from Kaijura, but that's because I'm using a laptop and there's only 10GB left on the HDD. Not a chance in hell I can install Ubuntu and compile from source until I build a new computer in the coming months)

I was thinking of starting up and learning too, but I got no clue which guides to look at, could you maybe link one or two guides which you found particually helpful?
Good luck fixing the Rom, will be good to try out a new one.
VEry cool!!! Glad you liked my notification It's real easy to hear LOL
Nice work man I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Obviously, as you can see above XDA is the best resource available for anything android! Those are only the guides and places I have bookmarked I read a lot more guides than that, I just didn't save them for future reference. Download a bunch of ROMs for your device and take a look inside each ROM. Get familiar with the file structure and learn where all the important files are and what they do. Learn how to tweak your build.prop, write proper functioning updater scripts, decompile tweaks and look at the source code to see how it was accomplised. Those are my favorite ways of learning. Also youtube has some decent instructional videos on how to compile Android from source.
I'm getting extremely frustrated with this ROM. Everytime I try to fix the bugs and change any libs or files in the bin folder, the ROM hangs on the white screen. I'm not doing anything stupid with the files, just trying to use ICS8.2 libs to see if it fixes certain problems. Can you simply drag and drop libs and other files like that from other ROMs and than just recompile? Or is it more complicated than that? How can I view the source code of a lib? or a file in the /system/bin folder? Currently neither of those files are viewable inside Windows 7 with notepad++ or anything I have installed on my computer. Also when I look in ICS8.2 I see that ROM has quite a few init.d scripts compared to my ROM. How can I incorporate more init.d scripts? What files have to be changed to get them to work properly? I know if you look inside the init.d script you can see what file it needs but for example-
Code:
if busybox [ ! -f /system/etc/liberty.cfg ]; then
busybox mount -o remount,rw /system
cat > /system/etc/liberty.cfg << EOF
There is no liberty.cfg file in the ROM at all. None. Not even in ICS8.2. Does that bit of code mean the system is going to create a file called liberty.cfg at /system/etc? Or does it mean the script searches for a file called liberty.cfg in /system/etc? I'm currently trying to fix the camera as well, and which files for our HTC Vivo control the camera? I know there are a few libs and a file or two related to the camera spread through out various folders in the ROM, but I wouldn't mind a direct confirmation from a more experienced dev or someone who has experience with this kind of issue on our phone.
Also I found the vold.fstab file was for the HTC Passion not the Vivo. I'm hoping changing Passion to Vivo will cause the SD card to mount properly. In the /system/lib/hw folder there is a file called camera.goldfish.so in the CM9 base from Kaijura, but in ICS8.2 there are 2, camera.goldfish.so and camera.msm.7X30. There's also a file in there called copybit.msm.7X30 what is that file used for? Is it related to the camera as well?
As you can tell, I'm using ICS8.2 as a kind of goal/inspiration. I look at the features and stability in that ROM and that's what I want mine to be like eventually. It's also pretty much the only up-to-date build of AOSP ICS for our phone, which is why I tend to lean on that ROM for libs and files. I prefer to make the changes to the code myself instead of simply copy-pasting everything, so I usually have the file I want edited open alongside the same file from a different ROM so I can see the code for both files and learn from it by typing out the changes myself.
Edit:If I compile the latest trebuchet.apk from github, will it be compatible with our device right away or will I need to make changes to the app to get it to work properly for our phone?
Thanks for anyone who can take the time to help me, it will be greatly appreciated!
Anyone? I'm seriously stumped right now. There's gotta be someone, a dev or something that knows the answer to my questions. Please guys?

I'm not a dev but since trebuchet seems just like a launcher to me, I guess it should work with the newest .apk But I'm not sure, just assuming...
V1.0 has been released! See OP for changelog and details. My next focus will be to fix the camera and after that I'll learn how to add more tweaks into the settings>system section.

this is awesome dude great work! once you fix camera ill be sure to switch over and check it out. i just need my camera
will be much more great if it is cm10 ,
anyway good job and thanks
The Camera is my highest priority right now, I will be concentrating all my efforts on figuring that out next. CM10 would be nice, but I'm not nearly experienced enough to successfully port Jellybean to our phone unfortunately. As soon as we have a JB port available, or if I eventually figure out the problems that come from porting JB then I for sure will release that as well! Just don't get your hopes up, I'm still very new to this.
Does mms have the wap2 setting like sense roms? Or is this missing as like all AOKP roms?

What kind of advantage could a user get from using your ROM compared to others, ie. Rempuzzle?

Ok my bad for jumping on you without checking the zip, screenshot shows an app that is not developer friendly. Promotion of such apps is not good.
Still I standby my words of at least trying to get permissions from the apps developer to include the app in a rom.
Also you could do so much more in reducing the bloat on this if you looked into things a little deeper.
I welcome all new roms so long as the effort is put into making it different from the norm.
Goodluck and I apologize for my over the top previous now edited post.
You would be wise to learn rules and common etiquette regarding xda and developement.

That was just an insult that I couldn't tolerate. Kylon is great at what he does. He had tried his level best in cooking such great roms. And about what you mentioned about links to his previous work, if you want I can upload it and give it to you. Hope I wasn't rude. I was just trying to be pretty straight
Edit : edited my comment after ensuring things a little further

Took the .zip apart.
The ROM doesn't contain any paid apps.
Protip for OP: When putting up screenshots for your ROM, try to not have your own apps on it.

Yep just done the same lol. But there is nothing special here, this could be stripped so much without any issues.
I tried download twice straight after my op, both failed!! Did otf get to his zip and edit it before a successful download was made by us? And removed some apks? Mmmmmm I guess we will never know.
Was online at time of post ...........now gone lol.
I will now go edit my rant. Lol.

1- we have already the stock rom you only add " boost " and zipalign.
2- kylon already do that.

Don't be so stupid...........
This could possibly be the start of another great rom for the wildfire. Probably not but still give the guy a chance before you jump down his throat. I know i normally jump on the bandwagon or even start it rolling when so called devs open threads with something we already have but apart from some silly mistakes in the op (*****ing about other roms bugs and saying this is the smoothest experience) i can't see anything wrong with him posting a new stock rom. Just think if people didn't take stock roms or stock aosp roms and modify them you wouldn't have cm, miui, lewa, mokee os etc etc
I'm not saying this rom will be the next *any of the above* as thats impossible for one man to create from a froyo rom but give him a little chance.
Only thing i'd ask the mods to do is delete every post in this thread except the first few......
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
I hear what your saying there scratch, I agree on giving him a chance. As ive said if its got something different! Then why not. On looking at the rom its not got any special twists or turns I'm afraid. As we both know sense roms are somewhat the easier to mod and make look quite unique to our likings. I still wish otf the best of luck with this though.
I also + 1 on mods to delete all posts baring initial op and lets start again.
O/T have you sorted all your issues out now with your s2 mate? Been a bit too busy lately to stalk you

Sorry guys, I'm no developer. I'm just 17..I just wished to share my try on a perfect rom. As the world caters to bright pages I designed the first one. However it's upto u to have it or forget it. Really sorry about blackmart. But almost all the apps I have are free. Hope u treat it as a way u would have expected had it been ur first thread.
Edit: Hello all, at first I didnt get what u guys were saying. Now I get it. I need to clarify. This zip never contained any paid/free apps. Im educated at least till this level. The screenshots are my personal!! Hope u understand this and change your posts. Pl consider this. And im not a stupid person to change zips so fast as someone said earlier.

Introducing AtrICS v2.0!
by Team Hope
Unfortunately, thehope was unable to continue development of AtrICS.
So Team Hope was created to step in to help deliver what you were denied: A beautiful stock ICS experience.
This ROM is pure stock and fully Blured: nothing added and nothing removed. We intend to keep it that way.
Please don't ask for battery mods, quick panels, track skipping with the volume rocker, etc.
In time, mods will appear in the themes and apps section.
All members of Team Hope each have their own projects. This means updates may not come as frequently as you would like.
Please be patient. The team will do it's best to fix as many major problems as possible.
Some problems, if hardware related, may not be fixable within a reasonable time frame (sorry).
In the mean time, enjoy the gift we were given.
************************************
This ROM is an open source gift to the community. It may used as a base for your own ROM, just be sure to give credit to Team Hope and provide a link back to this thread.
It would also be appreciated if you would share any fixes or improvements with the community to help make AtrICS even better.

I will not respond to help requests via PM.
Please post your question on one of my threads.
What can you do?
_Alex_ was kind enough to create a wiki for "That Rom" (please thank him!).
Since both ROMs are closely related, it would be helpful to continue to use it for bug reports and fixes.
Providing logcats would be very helpful, but please be judicious. Posting a 10 page logcat is not very helpful.
Editing to remove non-error related processes will make the logcat much more useful. Logcats in color are the most helpful.
Post edited logcats but please save the orignal. You can even do it on your phone with aLogcat (Play Store).
Logcats capturing the following errors will be extremely helpful:
Dropped cellular data connection
SD Card related reboots

International users note you need to flash ramfix after flash of v2.
Smart actions works pity they don't have any more volume actions other than ringer volume!
Will report back after a few days of use. At face value not noticed anything yet other than smart actions working (I don't use the stock launcher).

Kernel Source: IllusionProject
Always follow the OP through and through.
The Emulated /0 folder is always going to be there, save all sdcard stuff on a PC or some where else before flashing.
If things are acting weird, or you have things going on and don't see too many people reporting it.
Redownload rom and gapps
Wipe data factory reset
Wipe dalvik and cache
Format System (upon flashing rom it will do this automatically)
Then flash rom and gapps then reboot system. (boot the rom and then go back and flash your kernel of choice, if that's what you choose to do).
Make sure your kernel choice is built after 4-19!! The Dev of the kernel should state that "3.4 linux kernel AOSP" as well in their post. :good:
Also if having issues, boot into safe mode and see if issues still persist. Boot into safe mode by hold power button and long press on reboot. This will boot you into no 3rd party apps mode, basically. To get out of it, just reboot normally
To enable Developer Options, go to; settings|about phone|tap build number 7/8 times
to enable reboot options,(recovery, download) enable advanced reboot in Developer options
Dual Panel mode will cause some weirdness in settings. Turn them of to set everything up and forget about it after.
All the tabletui settings work but nav colors reset after reboot
If you have the "tick" while playing music then disable "Screen lock sound" & "Touch sounds". Temporary work around for now
No PhotosPhere in this rom still...might get added but depends on stability and CyanogenMod
You must flash Gapps everytime you install the rom as it wipes system every time. Use the gapps in the original post, if you use other Gapps keep those errors to your self and adress the person that made those Gapps.

@All
Please utilize the Q&A post by mt3g as once it evolves more, the more you will get out of it.
Also, itsmikeramsay and mt3g run pretty chill threads, please keep the discussion to the ROM and valid troubleshooting with proper bug reports.
Above all, if you can answer someone's question in 1 or 2 volleys, then do it. If anything beyond that threshold, then open a Q&A thread for your issue.

Don't touch any of those. The i9300 one isn't up yet.
Oh and to the op: Why even mention the 3.4 kernel if it's not in this rom? This is the i9300 so only i9300 related stuff should be posted here.
EDIT: Didn't see Woody's post.
I'll give it a try when you finish uploading the files

I'm redoing it... thats why the build is alpha for right now... There's certain bugs and nuisances that appeared after adding it, so I'll be redoing it. v2.0 is alpha solely because of it. But yeah it'll be back, more than likely next release. I just wanted to get everyone going on this new base. i9300 devices just know this as Xone's first release, but d2 devices know it as a rebase.
It'll definitely be back, but better than what it was before in terms of functionality...

Okay, good luck and thanks for your effort
Aight folks, builds are now being pushed to "public" view! Give it 5-10 minutes to show in full. I strongly recommend a FULL WIPE/Factory Reset! Refer to mt3g's Q&A section if you have any questions, and refer to the changelog to know what's been changed! Remember peeps, it's "alpha" because Hybrid Settings isn't yet included!!
As always peeps, if you enjoy this ROM or like it, feel free to show some love. It's never taken for granted, and is very very much appreciated!!
Now I gotta get ready to take the wife to the doctor, might be able to find out the sex of my first "spawn of me" today! I'm stoked. Keep the threads cordial peeps, if any bugs are found, please politely inform us! Thanks again peeps!!
