My Gear is on firmware V700XXUBNC1 (if it makes a difference), I have Gear manager version 1.7.110499 on my Samsung S4 (4.4.2).
Watch Styler is installed on the phone and available on the V700 and applies themes ok, what I have noticed is that when Analog themes are applied the hour hand does not move as expected.
E.g. When half past the hour the hour hand still points at the O-Clock position. Even at 5 to the hour it still points at the original O-Clock position.
This causes all sorts of misreads of time, because say 2:55 would at a glance be read as 1:55 (5 to 2) at a glance.
Is there a fix, I've had no joy with trying to find the developer of the software.
Cheers.
Ok sorted it, turned out it was the version of watch styler, samung apps version fails, found earlier version, works great.

Hi, I got the new Galaxy Gear for my brother. He has a SGS III with the latest official update (4.3) and the Gear App is on the phone, the gear is paired and it (almost) works.
That means - he can do calls (call/receive), he has weather there and stuff like that, you can configure the Gear from the phone, no problems. The Gear is, as far as I know, updated to the latest firmware version as well.
The problem is, no matter what we try, the Gear doesn't display any notifications from the phone. They are properly configured in the Gear App (even tried turning it off and on again). I also found a mention about the screen of the phone, that when off, the phone has to be locked at least with a swipe. I even configured a gesture for unlocking, just to be sure I understood the instruction correctly or in case the instruction meant that and said something else. I guess there was something else mentioned as well somewhere, I don't exactly remember what it was.
Anyway, all the instructions I've found looked mostly like applying black magic...
Of course, the next step could be factory reset of both the phone and the gear (well, the gear first, but I'd like to do FR of the phone as the last option as it is a pain in the ass in case you don't have the device rooted and backed-up completely).
So, here are my remarks/questions
I googled quite a lot about this issue (which is hard because Google returns a lot of irrelevant crap). Is there something obvious I could have missed?
Has anyone had encounter a similar issue? And resolved it?

hi,
first of all,
On watch do you have a section ...Notifications..? (if you swipe /scroll on your watch, from watchface ) ?
and what version of Gear manager ,(do yo have on phone ?)
and what version software do you have on watch ?
(eg ..i am currently on/using GM 1.5........( on phone ) ,and the software version of watch. V700XXUBML1 ( leaked software ROM......not rooted and have a Note 3 phone )
(No problems at all !! battery is excellent and i receive all my notifications .)
I know that in general GM (Gear manager) Version 1.6.....
( it is also some leaked Gear manager software, that is supposed to be used, if your phone software, is ugraded to Kitkat ) )
I noticed and also read on this forum , the notifications sections is missing completely ( in most cases )
This was also my experienced when I was using GM 1.6...!
otherwise ..suggestion ..
uninstall GManager( make a backup of apk before from /in your phones file explorer ..
i use es file xplorer to ussually do this ,saving me from re downloading apk again ?
or just download apk again and do another clean install from Samsung app stores )
when installing GM, don't restore setting/backups etc .. do clean install from scratch !
good luck
post note ,
your watch does not have to be set/ locked at all ,as long you have received notification on the phone and not read it !
eg..your phone is in sleep mode ,and your watch also ...connected bluetooth
it will then wake up watch and you will see the notification displaying on watch and after a few seconds it will disappear and to view again scroll on watch to notifications on watch and read from there if you want to. !
Make sure you have set up the notifications you want in Gear Manager.
Also your phone screen needs to be off, ie Lock Screen or Sleep
I bought the Watch R a week or so ago and I've been trying to work out why the Google Now notifications are so unreliable.
At first, I thought it was just me - I never really embraced Google Now and actually had it turned off on my phone (Galaxy S6 Edge). A few days ago I turned it on, configured it and was expecting to see the odd card popup on my watch every now and then but I've had zip.
So, I thought I'd test the notifications on the watch, from the Android Wear app, but the only notification that works all the time is the phone call. Most of the other notifications just don't pop up on screen and the only way I see them is to swipe the face from above and then they're there. Is this normal behaviour? I thought that notifications were supposed to popup on the screen, like on my phone!
I've reset the phone a couple of times in desparation but it's made no difference. I've unpaired the watch from the phone and re-paired it after forgetting the device. No difference. Removed all the custom watch faces and used only the once that came with the watch and once again, no difference.
I do get notified of text messages and emails with no problem, but nothing from Google Now.
Can anyone please suggest anything?
I have the s6 and I don't receive any notifications except the test phone call. I believe it to be a samsung problem with it killing the wear app from running in the background. watch worked fine with my other phones.
It's ridiculous, my s6 / gwr doing the same thing. Reboot both and things work for a little while, then gradually peters away to nothing. Except for sometimes I'll tap the watch for the time, and some random google now cards will be there, which I dismissed days before! Swipe them away but the same few keep coming back! As for the weather reports, well they've not worked for over a month now. And all this without me touching any settings whatsoever. I've exempted the android wear app from battery optimisation in the s6 too, incase they were that dense they'd overlooked that core app, but doesn't seem to have sorted it. Seems every time these companies update stuff they break it, and don't care about fixing it.!
I keep trying different faces, but some seem to work correctly at first but then get stuck & stop updating. I had one running that I thought worked great & then today it said it was cloudy/rainy & 56° out even well after it got warm & sunny.

Good question!
I have the same problem too.
Also when I click on the weather on the watch face it
displays different results than what the weather app
displays on the watch face itself.
I must have tried 25 different weather apps for android wear
and so far not one of them were any where near accurate
enough for me to actually use any of them.
Good luck, have a great day!

Exactly. I'm giving up on watch face weather for now

I've been using this watchface since I got the watch in november:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.byss.instaweather.watchface
I'm in Finland and I've been happy with the weather data, it's not 100% accurate, but accurate enough for daily use.
Most watch faces I've tried have been really weak in showing accurate weather data from smaller countries.
yearly subscription?? Eer, no thanks.
I would gladly pay a one time fee for a good app, but this is ridiculous.
~John
I have been trying a face I made with WeatherTime & so far today it has worked fine.
That means absolutely nothing however, as some of the other faces seemed to work in the beginning but then simply stop updating no matter what the settings are.

My guess is that it's related to connectivity issues between the watch and phone. My watch and phone constantly disconnect from each other. At 4pm today for example, it was still showing the temp for 9am. Jeeze!
weather time seems to work pretty well for me (way better than anything else I've tried) So far, it always seems to me within a few degrees of what my phone is reading & is at least useable.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I use a WatchMaker face. While WatchMaker (search on the Play Store) requires you to purchase a license to put watch faces on your watch, it is totally worth it. You get to make your own faces and use other peoples faces. Look up "facerepo" for a site that has tons of watch faces. To get accurate weather, you have to go into the app's settings on your phone, and configure the weather settings to update every half hour.
I'm sticking with weather time. It works perfectly 99% of the time.
It got stuck once on the temp, but in the phone app you can click force weather refresh & then it's fine again. I do have my phone (galaxy S8 Plus) set to update every 30 minutes.

Well, this seems to be a common issue that Asus support knows nothing about. I have learned that Asus support is worthless, but I will leave that rant for another post. Anyway, I am having the same issue that many other people seem to have, but I haven't been able to find a solution for it. I have a 6P, latest Android Wear on the phone, latest Android Wear on the watch, and it usually takes 15-30 seconds for the watch to "ring" when I get a phone call. Additional details below.
Here is, in detail, what I have noticed. If I have used the watch recently (sorry, can't provide an accurate, or even estimate time fraim) it seems to work fine, however if it hasn't been used in a while, it can take 15-30 seconds for the watch to notify me of an incoming call. I am used to my pebble, where notifications that take 2 seconds are VERY long delays, usually its instant with the pebble. This also appears to be an issue when an alarm goes off. Alarm, as in set an alarm in the clock app, it takes forever to get the notification on my watch. As far as phone calls, it also seems as though if I answer the phone before the watch starts ringing, the watch can start ringing after I have answered the phone, and am talking on the phone, and the watch won't shut up until the call has ended.
I assume there is a simple fox for this, but I can't find it anywhere. For details, the watch is running 2.8.0.182823779 (Latest at the time of writing) the phone is running 8.0.0 rooted, android wear 2.9.0.185084575.gms (Latest at time of writing)
Practically begging for help here, thanks in advance.
I assume you are using stock AW 2. Everyone of us has had problems with the speed of the watch. The snapdragon 1200 seems to be to slow and old for AW 2. But if you try the ROM available here in the forum made by @janjan , it get's a little bit better.
You have to disable ZenWatch Manager on the watch and uninstall on your phone.
The Zenwatch manager actually processes lots of data before notifying the watch. Hence the lag.
Peeps,
I am going to go with this chronically, although i am not sure if things are connected to each other.
1. A few months back, Watch didnt pair with Phone, i noticed that Galaxy Wearable disappeared from my phone. I manually installed the APK as the update wasnt available on the stores.
2. Again, past two months, i kept randomly losing my alarms in Samsung Clock...although, never manually updated this one.
3. Yesterday, i get a notification from Galaxy Wearable that i should install Samsung Health if i want to sync the stats between the watch and phone/cloud. Well, i updated the app to get Dark Mode cause the update does not show up on the store. How the hell did it delete itself?
All this, coming after some shady Chinese company detected in Device Care (not anymore, i know) and randomly receiving the Find My Mobile notification (i am one of them).
Phone is not rooted, and i am VERY sure i do not have any malware on it.
Samsung health got uninstalled, seemingly by itself, on my Note too. Two days ago.
