I was told about a retailmenot coupon that would net me a refurbished galaxy tab from AT&T for $250, but today when I went to buy one I found the terms had changed. The discount now only applies to accessories you buy on top of the tab.
I was really disappointed to find the price had gone up (I have almost no need for accessories).
Has anyone else found great deals for the galaxy tab?

Got mine off Woot a few weeks ago for $280. To me when you start pushing the $300 mark for a wifi only tablet you're pushing it. I can't see myself paying much more than that for a tablet. None of the devices really stand out from their peers at this point and it remains to be seen if there really is a long term market for them. I see prices dropping drastically at least for Android tablets as the holidays approach.
I know price is not the most important factor, but I'm just a college kid looking for a cheap yet high-quality tablet that I can use until better, namely quad-core, technology is released.
That $50 or $100 really matters because there is so much that can be done with that money and I'd like to save as much as I can. Can anyone help me find a good deal?
If you're looking for a sprint gtab go to ebay.com.au (australia), they have been selling tabs for less than $200. Not sure about postage rates though...

You're basically buying a toy though. Paying $400-500 for a toy is too much IMO. Especially if you're on a typical college student's budget.
The at&t website lists a refurbished 3g tab for $299. www.att.com
I have yet to see someone claim to have bought e-note from ebay? I see prices as low as $670 dollars (US) including shipping yet no one has reported to have bought one from them. what is the risk involved that people are still paying $740 from other places and no one seems to be taking advantage of new g-notes from ebay at cheaper prices?
I think its fear + ignorance which stops more people getting them from ebay. These things are made pretty close to Hong Kong, so its not suprising how cheap they are buying them from there through ebay. ebay used to be fairly shady too, and I think a lot of people still hold the fear of splashing $700 into a site which they may feel unsure about. However, as many of us know these days, ebay + paypal combined is an insanely safe shopping source. Not only is your sale fully ensured, but the amount of turnover most of these stores do, and the ability to access other shopper's comments does make it a really valuable source.
I'll be getting my note from ebay sometime next week (when the pay comes through), but have previously bought my SGS 1, and asus transformer from there, with NO problems, extremely quick shipping, and hundreds of dollars saved. I always recomend it
thanks for the vote of confidence. I am also thinking about getting my g-note next week through ebay.
Just read through the sellers past feedback. You should quickly see if the seller is reliable. Also read carefully through the description to see if it is new/used/damaged or if the title is wrong and they they are selling a 600$ notebook with a photo of a galaxy on it rather than a phone.
I got mine from eBay.
I bought mine from Ebay I paid 720 for it including shipping that was free. That's 2 Weeks ago prices were much higher.
It was a reputable seller and didn't have any issue the phone is running great
I went through 3 SGN's so far.. One from Amazon.de, One from Ebay.de and one from my Country which was the most expensive one but was worth the local warranty reassurance since I'm keeping this one. Received it today.
The second one from Ebay was a German model, no problems, sold it like I did with the first one from Amazon after I played around abit with it.
Anyway ALWAYS read the FEEDBACK! Even if it's a TOP Rated it means NOTHING! It might be a hacked account or a bad TopRated. Better safe than sorry.
Example: Someone is selling some SGN's in a very attractive price. Check the feedback if another person bought and received a Note from the Seller already. If the listing just came up then check it's feedback for some expensive stuff and not 2-3euros worth of items.
If the Seller has low feedback(<30-50) but it's 100% positive and every buyer is happy with him, then sent him a message first and see. He might be just a regular guy selling a Note.
Yes Ebay and Paypal did help me a couple times and they were very helpful, but Scammers will always be around.
Got mine on ebay for $760 about 3 weeks ago when they first came out. It arrived in a few days without any problem. It turn out to be a Polish model with a with a Polish provider branding.
Just rooted & loaded a custom ROM & now all OK.
I love this phone. Absolutely awesome screen.
Got mine from a Hong Kong ebayer with no problem.

Hi everyone, ill be going to Korea on the 23rd for my Christmas vacation and one of my goals is be able to buy the Galaxy Note at a cheaper price(i thought that since its made in Korea, it should be cheaper). Do anyone of you know the current price of the Galaxy Note there? where can I get it the cheapest in seoul?
Dont know exactly but im pretty sure it not cheaper by any means
Also dont buy one there roms are not compatible
oh really? so I cant flash it to South East Asia Rom?
Not sure about South Korea but I was just in Hong-Kong and at Fortress they are selling them for 5998 HKD and I was also in Bangkok and found that they were cheaper in Bangcock at 22,700 Baht. In Thighland You also get a 7% VAT refund at the airport so it is cheaper in Thailand to but than Hong-Kong. Taiwan's price is currently about 22,700 NTD.
Taiwan and Hong-Kong have both Black and White while Thighland only has Black at the moment (unless you buy one that is being sold on the black market).
Oh, that means, its cheaper here in the philippines. I saw a shop selling Php 28,700.
I want to get before I leave so I can already use it when I travel there!

I like how you originally spelled it correctly and then intentionally put a malicious misspelling afterwards.. LOL
The cheapest offering in our country (PH) is 30k with official Samsung warranty with NTC seal. 26k with just the shop warranty.
Don't buy in Korea, it's like buying stuff in Japan, they have their own hardware configurations there, not just software. HK is the best place to buy gadgets (if you're not so concerned about warranty)
Where did you saw the 26t?
I'm getting mine next week and i bought it from Samsung store in Thailand
I'm From Israel, do you think i will have a problem with the Note?
I dont think that the International Roms will work with the Korean model 100% because of the different cpu and modem

In HK, if you buy in Fortress, it will be a little bit more expensive than the other small shops. But you will get a lot of free gifts. Now in Fortress, you will get a spare battery, screen protector and the original leather case.

Should be just fine. Just check language support with Demo model at counter. The Hong-Kong version only has English,Korean, and Chinese. They do not come with all the languages like the iPhones do.

I got mine at the airport so no free battery. The free battery that they give you is not the original one but should be ok. The original battery in Taiwan sells for 1580 NTD at the Samsung store. Not a cheap battery but a must have. I will be buying one. I already bought the external battery charger for around 680 NTD to charge the spare battery. With a spare battery this Note should be good to go

We’re still a week away from the Samsung Galaxy S5′s Australian launch, and the price-cutting battle between telcos, online stores and retailers is already happening. If you’re willing to wait a week or two for your new phone to be shipped over from Hong Kong, you can find a great discounted deal.
Millennius.com has the black 16GB SM-G900 Galaxy S5 for $779, as well as white — that’s the cheapest price we’ve seen online so far for an outright handset. Kogan has the same model for $849 in all four colour variants, as well as a $999 32GB capacity, but all stock has apparently already been snapped up. MobiCity wants $899 for the 16GB, but unlike Kogan is still taking orders. These phones will almost certainly be international units coming from Hong Kong, where prices are lowest for grey importers to source their inventory.
eBay prices are depressingly high; the cheapest you’ll find a 16GB model is $958 with free postage, and $1079 for 32GB. If you want to buy a discounted new Galaxy S5, you might like to have a look at Melbourne-based Millennius.
mobicity went from 899 to 849 then sold out. now its back at 899 lol.
never buying from mobicity again after my experience with my xperia z
EDIT: oh, this isnt a retailer, but there are S5s going for 699USD on ebay and it has free shipping to Australia. can't link here since im at school
Thanks for that, I will be buying one on the weekend from them after I get paid from work.

yeah, here in australia the price of S5 is 849 to 899, S4 launched for 749 here i believe. :/
I pre-ordered mine from AT&T the other day. The no contract price is $650.
I found the Octa Core exynos cheap on Ebay ($650ish), but I want the snapdragon one.
I just went on millenius.com and it turns out they only do bank transfer and something else for payment.
no paypal option seems super shady to me..
I went to the local electronics store in Herzliya and they told me 2,600.00 shekel ($745.844) which is actually less than I thought it would be. I thought it would be more like 4000 haha.
It's now sub 1200 Euros in Germany, if you look around a bit. Nearing 1100 in a few places.
Price has cratered harder and faster than any phone in living memory.
Samsung must be pumping these out of the factory pretty quickly, and not intending for new models to take as long as Fold 1 to Fold 2.
I can see this going below 1000 around Black Friday, and definitely by the New Year. If it's not already replaced by the end of Q1 '21, I'd imagine the phone might see significant development and community involvement, below 1k.
You're insane.
Sent from my SM-F916U1 using Tapatalk
Really, care to explain why? Lowest retail price has dropped over 700 Euros in less than 2 months.
Samsung are well known for front-loading pricing, and quickly tapering it to distributors and wholesalers, but it's never been quite like this. The device is clearly intended to sell in volume, and not be the flagship for anything like as long as the Fold 1.
Re: development, plenty of 800-1200 Euro devices see lots of development.

In the next two days I am going to buy a brand new in box Z Fold2 for €1.000 or less in Germany.
Not from a shop (several are offering them for €1.150 already) granted, but in Germany a lot of Z Fold2 have been included in a subscription renewal package where people just keep their current phone and monetize the Z Fold2.
I see the prices going down almost daily. It's a simple matter of supply and demand.
Check out https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/
The same thing happened with previous Samsung flagships.
LG devices also depreciate very quickly, but that is because noboby wants them and LG has to lower the RRP to sell them.

I know it's probably a foreign concept, but supply chains and retail channels are relatively competitive in Europe .. particularly Germany.
Probably seems unreal to you when informal price fixing in a hugely non-competitive market rules in the US ... and you just got a Verizon Fold 2 for $$$$$$$$$$, with no hope of waiting for discounts.
Why do you think anyone with a clue in the US buys from European retailers? Price including tax in Europe (which you don't pay) is usually much cheaper than price excluding tax at US retailers, save for Apple. That's what no competition does.
And now you're mad and refuse to believe anything.

And as far as I know no German provider sells these branded and/or SIMlocked.

I don't think any contract phones have been branded / locked for 5-6 years in DE ... and he appears to be implying these are secondhand contract phones. I'm not even sure heavily subsidised pay as you go phones are branded anymore.
Lowest retail price for sealed NIB Fold 2 in DE is 1149.99 today. It has been lower. Trend is still downwards quickly though.
I bought one of these z fold 2 of Germany.
1215€ and came sealed... I activated Samsung care+
I dont know the reason of the low prize of those phones, but are real and legal.

I bought this Fold 2 for one month ago too in Germany ebay kleinanzeigen 1350 Euro) . some people buy buissness phone cards with a fold 2 and they sell the fold 2 and use the phone card.
Now it is sometimes a little bit cheaper but ok .... I use it for over a month now and I love this phone ! So great stuff Samsung did here ...
You can buy these used for around $1400 US off of Ebay (which is around 1250 Euro, which is what I see it for on the German eBay site). Hoping for a slight bit more of a price drop from Black Friday, but I noticed that Samsung is still selling it for its original price, and they've dropped the price of trade ins by around $200.
I don't know why anyone would have paid full price in the US as it was on sale the opening day at every possible outlet and you would have had to literally give them more money than they were asking for the device in order to pay MSRP; I paid 1600 directly from Samsung's site on pre-order for the unlocked variant and others did better. Day one the latest greatest is always going to be more expensive than it will be just a short time later; you all know that, I'm not telling you something you didn't know. You do need to put it on a level playing field though, you can't compare the MSRP here to the actual price somewhere else at a different time, you have to compare actual price at the same specific time in order to get a valid comparison.

I'm looking to buy it again, and I'm not seeing all these great deals. Samsung's site is $1999, unless you trade in a device. The deals on eBay are ok for a used device, but not great. Amazon has some refurbs for $300 off, which is ok, but again, it's a refurb, to which they only promise that you won't notice a problem "holding it at arm's length". I haven't seen any sign of a new unit coming down in price from $2k.

Be very wary of purchasing a phone tied to a network contract.
These phones may get blacklisted a few months down the line if the original owner doesn't pay the bill, or if they have insurance and claim a month or two later that it has been lost or stolen.
... I know this from experience ... you could end up with a 1000 euro "tablet" that cannot use a sim card anywhere in EU

It's good advice, and I am worried about it. I see a number of devices for sale that say they're on a contract. Kind of terrifying that someone decides to switch providers and suddenly my phone is blacklisted.
Starting to hope for a Black Friday sale!
