Currently, I'm using the Sony Xperia Z1
Model Number: C6902
Android Version 4.4.4
Build Number: 14.4.A.0.157
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-perf-gaee6e5a [email protected]#1 Thu Oct 9 09:14:33 2014
I tried to root my device so many times, but I'm stuck on creatingvm (loljavasucks) in the 14.2 Easy Root Tool (download from one of the XDA links)
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Flash kernel .108 and root. After that flash kernel .157

It is not necessary to use root kernel to root, check my sig. for rooting guide by Dr.Ketan.
But if you want to be on safe kernel after root, then use either of the Notecore or Speedmod kernels. You can also use Hydracore universal kernel, it can be used with all kind of roms.
Hi ive just downloaded the GL_NOTECORE_v12_STD kernel and plan to flash it in pda section of odin on my pc. Will this be safe and work on my firmware?

Yes it's safe. You can interchangeably use any kinds of ICS kernel as it does not have any bearing on what firmware you have as long as your on 4.0.4 ICS
Re flashing kernels :
You can use PC odin if you don't mind the yellow triangle custom flash logo on your boot up.
Can be removed via triangle away on Play Store.
Otherwise use mobile odin pro the device to flash the kernal.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Xparent SkyBlue Tapatalk 2
Ok
Thanx
Hi everyone,
I hope someone can help me, my Galaxy S Advance keeps rebooting.
Basically I tried to root it using Odin and although it's now rooted it also restarts randomly.
I've tried going into recovery mode and wiping all data but it makes no difference.
A few details from "About Phone" that might help...
Model Number: GT-I9070
Android Version: 2.3.6
Baseband version: I9070XXLK2
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #7 SMP PREEMPT Fri May 18 10:04:49 CEST 2012
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.XXLK2
Does anyone know how to solve this? Or if not how do I reinstall the stock software?
Many thanks
Kris

Install CoCore kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1939528 with Universal kernel flasher (from play store, you will need some root explorer like ES File explorer).
You get random reboots because ROOT kernel is not stable.
P.S. About installing stock firmware, use Odin. Download firmware for your country/phone version (P Or non P is very important, you can hard brick phone).
Hello there fellow XDA mates.
I have been using an Xperia ZR device for some times now and I have grown bored out of the stock Xperia ROM. And I would like to root the device and install CyanogenMod or CrDroid (LOLLIPOP PREFERRED) (a classmate recommended it. He has it on his Galaxy Note 2 (android 5.0))
And so, since I am a noob at this rooting and stuff guiding me thru this step by step would be a great help.
Some basic info about my device and the android OS.

any answers??
Hi,
I've rooted and upgraded with several Cyanogenmod version (e.g. release nightly) but the problem still is the same:
WLAN/WIFI does not show any access point / hotspot cannot be activated
device information:
Android version: 5.1.1
CyanogedMod-Version: 12.1-20160208-NIGHTLY-yuga
kernel version: 3.4.0-cm-g6bda3b4 (Feb 8 2016)
device: Sony Xperia Z
Does someone have an idea how to fix the problem?
Do a fresh install or try flashing only the radio.
Hi Natschlaus,
Thanks for the hint. I did several reinstalls already.
Where can I get the radio.img to flash this separately?
Thanks
