Okay Guys, i have a very strange Question.
My Device is the Sony Xperia Z2
Can i prepare my device in a way so that i can not Root it anymore. Can not flash any Custom Rom or open the Bootloader again ?!
My idea was to use "fastboot oem lock" and then delete my unlock Key... Will this work ?
Sorry for my bad English
I don't have the answer, but may I ask why?

Flash Stock Firmware
then use
fastboot oem unlock.
then pray and hope that Sony issues security patches on time to avoid exploit based rooting methods.
Should be good to go.

Hello XDA guys! I'm a new user, or a noob :silly:
Sadly, i have 11w44 so I "can't" unlock my bootloader, but a long time ago, i didn't know it and did it. The nAa recovery worked, and I had rebooted the device and It's still alive today. But, when I wanted to put a rom it didn't start the rom, just enter to the nAa recovery again, so I entered in panic and relocked the bootloader AGAIN. I want to unlock again but I don't know...
I unlocked the bootloader in that time or just change the recovery? If I did once time, its safe to do it again? Thanks you a lot!
Sorry for my bad English I'm studying but...

I think yes I have installed a custom kernel, but I can't install a rom because the roms I tried in that moment aren't compatible with nAa... After that I relocked the bootloader again... So I think my bootloader is locked know... I will see when I arrive to home.. Thanks a lot guys! I really aprecciate it!
Sad, sad, sad...
Sadly, my bootloader is locked, I unlocked the bootloader once and I was lucky. I'm not going to try again because I think it's more safer to play a Russian Roulette and I love my phone instead is a little old

I am not allowed to post on MoKee thread so I will post my question here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2761807
I am not a newbie and have been following XDA for 6 different devices and more than 5 years. But I just didn't post enough.
I am currently on SONY Xperia ZR (C5502) 4.4.2 (rooted). I have been trying to flash MoKee 4.4x for the past few weeks but in vain. I bricked my device few time already by trying and have to revital it with all kind of tools (Flashtool, Sony Update Service, fastboot).
I guess now my question is - "Does MoKee ROM requires Unlock Bootloader?" In the last post of that thread, someone said that it MUST be Unlock Bootloader. Is that true? The only reason I care so much about this is because I screwed up my device every time I unlocked it.
I was using the "fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY" method.
I am currently using 10.5.A.0.230.
Your answer will be really appreciated.

Yes just like any other rom out there you will need an unlocked bootloader. The reason is because you have to flash a custom recovery such as CWM and to do that you need to unlock your bootloader. I recommend unlocking you bootloader using flashtool instead of the command. Because it is just easier. When I was trying to unlock my bootloader I experienced problems doing it the way with the cmd. And what problems does it give you after unlocking and how does it screw your device? Thanks!!
PS: Try flashing a custom recovery because maybe your bootloader is already unlocked.:good:

I have installed -=[XZDualRecovery]=- with locked bootloader, so I don't think the reason is about the flashing of the recovery, maybe is something related with kernel flashing. but I'm not sure.

Yes, I have confirmed that it REQUIRES Unlock Bootloader to install MoKee.
I unlocked my bootloader with Flashtool this time, instead of commend line this time. That fixed the problem I used to have.
But I used the CWM comes with XZDualRecovery to install MoKee 4.4.4. It works out fine.

Any custom rom requires boot loader unlock.
hello i have been using xda forums for a quite a while now and i really appreciate the help from every one here. My question is i got the sony xperia z1 which has me stumped with the bootloader unlock i really enjoyed cynaogenmod on my galaxy s2 when i had it and i never had any problems installing it, but with this phone i can not get the the bootloader unlocked, mine says bootloader unlock no, i have been looking every where and people have been saying that you can not unlock the bootloader if it says no. I have managed to get it rooted but i would love to have the custom rom installed can some one please point me in the right direction, or is the answer still no that it can not be unlocked? and if so will it ever be able to unlock?

If it say no the answer is still no. You cannot unlock bootloader or install custom kernel. How ever you still can install custom rom which uses stock kernel.

thank you, could you point me in the right direction with that atleast? I tried looking for that also and still could not find any thing i read i still would have to go in to fast boot mode but when i get in to it all i get is a black screen.
You only get a black screen with fastboot, the commands are issued from the computer.
However you do not need fastboot to install custom roms with a stock kernel. Look in the development section for them

Hi! Im a little newbie but still trying . Sadly Sony abandoned us with a laggy compilation of happy thoughts. I my Sp have both root and recovery installed to delete bloatware. Im stuck with .205 stock and probably wont receive .207 anytime soon, so now that sony won't release kitkat its time for CUSTOM ROMS yeah!. I wanted to try the lastest release on nightly, the snapshot is like 2 months old (don't know if matters but for tweakers we have to test until we are happy )
Sadly for any rom, I need to unlock my bootloader but i can't. when i type the #*#*xxxx, says NO to unlockable bootloader, and when I use Flashtool doesn't work, still says that my device cannot be unlocked :S. Is there anyway to unlock the bootloader? Saw some solutions about flashing without unlocking but im afraid to brick the phone xd
I need some big help! will be appreciated ;D

NO. You can't unlock your bootloader if 'unlock bootloader allowed = no'
Since you cannot unlock bootloader, therefore you cannot flash custom ROM on your phone.
Rooting phone do not always need bootloader to be unlocked. There will be some ways available to root your phone with LB.
Also there will be some ROMs available that can be flashed over LB. But they'll be based on stock and will not have more features rather than stock features.
You just need to search here on XDA
I suggest you not to flash any ROM on LB. You'll eventually get bootloops and maybe hard brick.

Nope! As much as I know, you cannot change status from 'no to yes' rather than changing your motherboard to do so. It'll cost you more than you buyed it.
It is related to TA Partition. And EVERY phone has its unique TA. So no one can change its status. Flashing other phones TA to your phone will brick your device.

In such case you need to roll back to your previous android version. I don't think you could unlock your bootloader. But if you are telling it was 'yes' before, then you should try.
No matter your phone works with every sim or not. TA Partition contains DRM keys as well as many other things related to network, warranty, services which get erased after unlocking bootloader.

Yes you can flash any stock ROM through flashtool. You just need to download appropriate firmware (.ftf)
Even you could update your phone through PC Companion. The latest version is 5.1.1 Available.
BTW why are you trying to flash stock ROM? Are you using any custom ROM already?

You mean bootscreen, right?
Just because of bootscreen are you going to change the entire ROM?
You could change bootscreen manually. Your phone just need to be rooted to do so. To root your phone use kingroot app. If your lucky enough, your phone will be rooted.
There are tons of bootscreens available. Just pick one and place it in /system/media (don't forget to backup old one) with -rw--r--r permissions and Bingo! You have changed your bootscreen.

Dude, your on latest android version. There isn't any exploit available to root ver 5.1.1
You either need to wait until anyone makes an exploit for your phone or you need downgrade your phone and root it.
There is a pre-rooted firmware available for lollipop But it works only if phone has 5.0.2 .
Unfortunately your phone has 5.1.1 that means you still need to downgrade your phone and flash pre-rooted 5.1.1
Also, your bootloader can't be unlocked. So you need to flash ROM accordingly. Don't ever flash ROM that are meant for unlocked bootloader.
Regards,
hitman-xda
when someone makes an exploit for my phone and root 5.1.1 . i steel need to unlock the boot loader ?
