[Q] KidMode-Google.odex has unexpected contents - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Happy new year too all of you!
I want to update the firmware of my rooted HTC One from 6.09.401.10 to 609.401.11. For this I changed my recovery back to stock recovery and defrosted all the pre-installed apps. At about 25% the update turned to a red triangle with exclamation mark. The error message stated: "/system/app/KidMode-Google.odex has unexpected contents". This was no surprise because I removed KidMode instead of freezing it. I looked for a Nandroid Backup on XDA and had no problem finding several backups. The most recent version I found had firmware version 6.09.401.5. I copied the KidMode-Google.odex file from the Nandroid backup file to /system/app on my phone. I also installed Kidmode from the Google Play store and made it a system app with Titanium Backup. I thought this would solve the problem so the firmware could be updates, but I still get the same error when trying to update to 6.09.401.11. Is there any way to check if I have the correct version of KidMode-Google.odex?

Is there anyone who can help me with this problem?

Flash TWRP
restore this backup
flash stock recovery
update
or you can try to extract the file from the nandroid, push it to the correct location and set permission

Deleting Update file before install

So I had my rooted noon running fine and told ROM Manager to reboot and make a backup. It did, but after rebooting, got stuck in a boot loop. I checked the forums and saw the news about the latest update. I think the update was downloaded to my device and attempted to install after rebooting.
So, I am able to restore from the backup file I made, but this of course puts me back in the position where the update tries to install right after rebooting. Where is the OTA update file stored, and is there anyway I can delete this file from within Clockwork Recovery?

Help for my captivate please!!

Hey guys,
Thanx for looking in this. So, I have a rooted cappy att on a stock 2.2 ota update version of firmware and yesterday I did a nandroid backup for the first time after reading proper instructions. So, after that when my phone booted up it was somehow missing the contacts icon which was no where to be found. So I started my titanium backup pro and tried restoring the contacts app, but it just froze. So, I finally decided to do a nandroid restore. I went into clockwork and restore and started it. So, after it booted up it would just show me LogsProvider error in a loop. So now somehow I managed to go into titanium and then found the LogsProvider and did a restore of that app+data amd it stopped putting the errors. But now, it will get me errors for whatever app I try to access. Till now it has shown me errors in gmail, browser, tw launcher. But xda runs perfect!
Changes that I did for getting the cwm was it wont take me to that green screen for backup no matter how many times I clicked the reinstall packages. So I went into rom manager and flashed a older version of cwm which was 2.5.1.1 instead of the 2.5.1.2 and now I could go into the green and do a backup and this was all before the restore.
So, this is it. I am now booting in with errors and my contacts are gone, cannot open messages. Basically, SCREWED!
Help me out buddies, it would be really appreciated! Thanx in advance.

[Q] Titanium Backup Pro Seems To Be Unable to Restore Apps. Sits at 0%

I made a backup of a couple games and random other apps, about 20 as I decided to flash the cyanogenmod nightly onto it. Everything works fine, I enabled root in developer settings. When I first opened the app I got a warning about my SU binary being outdated, that its functional but maybe unstable on 4.3+ devices. So when I go Batch > Restore Missing Apps with Data it starts to restore but just sits at 0%
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm guessing its something to do with the SU binary warning I mentioned. How do I update this?

You need to flash the latest version of SuperSU through recovery (Chainfire's). The baked in Superuser doesn't seem to work with TBU

Do I have to flash it through recovery? Or can I just grab it from the app store?

Ehh, Maybe ... I usually flash through recovery and just keep the zip saved on my phone.
I don't think its a TBU issue I've used it a few times without any problems.

TWRP - Restore failed - "NO OS"

Hey,
I did a backup in TWRP (newest) when on firmware 47.2.A.2.33 (next newest) Malaysian Customized.
Then i OTA to 47.2.A.4.41 SINGAPORE CUST....then i messed some so the solution was to RESTORE.
I had backed up every thing you can backup in TWRP.
So i restored it went fine. But when i choosed to reboot it says .."sure you wanna boot NO OS!" or something..
Was it because i had different VERSIONS (Malay/SIngapore ,...)
No fails whatsoever so please, anyone?
No i dont have a log sorry
