I wanted to start the new year off right so I Kanged up Liquid Smooth by @roeblatt3. I didn't have the time to sync an entire repo just to do one build, especially since it's KitKat. This Kang is a pure post-zip Kang using roeblatt3's work. I just swapped out the files with mine and edited some stuff here and there.
Features:
Merged all yes that's right, ALL my CM11-Kanged tweaks but if you want me to go on, I will
Debloated
Added Oniswitch
Added apks to /data for fun
Added lots of build.prop tweaks including a 3g hack, dalvik.vm adjustments, and ksm enabled by default
TE removed to boost performance a bit
Added P.A.C. and a CM media
Nav bar enabled by default
Better Bootanimation
Beats audio added for epic sound
Gapps baked in
Changed Splash Screen to be cooler and have a pic of me
Replaced Apollo with it's CM12 counterpart
Some other stuff that I'm sure I'm forgetting
Added ui_print that @sd_shadow may deem as "silly"
Bugs:
You tell me

Credits:
@m.ksy for maintaning the original CM11 and the droid X KitKat device tree like a boss and for kernel source
@Aaahh for initial port of TWRP and first booting CM11 build
@palmbeach05 for doing a lot of the ground work at the beginning of CM11
@Quarx for aero kernel
And last but not least @roeblatt3 for porting Liquid to the droid X
##########################
v1.2_Media v1.0
Removed bootanimation.zip to fix an issue
Changed LCD density to 210 ( looks better)
Removed 3g hacks
Disabled the Radio for battery sipping purposes so 911 WILL NOT work but battery will last like a Nokia
##########################
v1.2
Merged all yes that's right, ALL my CM11-Kanged tweaks but if you want me to go on, I will
Rebased ROM to be current with original
Debloated
Added Omniswitch
Nav bar enabled by default

Moved some build.prop stuff around because I can
Removed TE because it helps the X as far as stability
##########################
v1.0
Built using roeblatt3's LS as a base
Added almost all of my CM11-Kanged tweaks

Thanks bud. I flashed and booted and went to settings so I could take the pic in post #2 and then I rebooted to test recovery. I then shut it off to leave so give me some feedback on what I missed/need to add etc etc [emoji14]
Tap'd from my Lollerpoped Bionic
I deserve more credit than that, I ported the first cm11.
Try lollipop guys... It seems stable,
The only thing I can really complain about is the hardware and DXs....

I don't think LP will run good on the x because its a heavy resource hog....the only way I personally think we can bypass that is to get 3.x kernel and enable a default swap partition and stock over clock the GPU and CPU

Ok, I'm up and moving around now so let the testing begin! Now for LP, the biggest thing I'm seeing is memory leaks, which appears to be a very common problem. word is 5.0.3 will fix that

The GPU is fine, I was surprised to see that the DX s cm11 over clocked GPU is at my one pluses clock
CPU, eh, I can't say the same.
The 3.x kernel is needed. And the swap is deifently needed.

No.
You told me nothing, and I did not use any of your sources.
In fact, I completely went quite and did everything myself.
You at first you were super close to what I did, and after awhile I saw that you had some commits.

Hm, ok. So, where is your work? I newer seen any sources from you, also there are no any commits on MotoDX-CM11. You asked me to invite you to group on github for access to make commits, but you didn't make it, axcept Installer and Ignore repos.
So, where is your work in CM11 project? Thanks for the answer.

I gave out them in the fourm, not through github.
M.ksy at least I gave sources. IF I remember correctly, let me think, you didn't. In fact I was the first one and I posted all of the boot process. In a nice zip. I'm not going to lie, you took over the whole project, but I was the creator. Infact I started it way before you. Palm beach was the first reply. I don't compete for credit, because to tell you the truth, I'm not greedy like that. You have A lot of empty claims, and your support is terrible. Hey, you want to be truthful, there.
Its no wonder I know more about the sources and other KitKat Roms work better. You know in helped them do it? Nope, because I'm not fighting. You want the droid x spotlight, have it.
On a side note, now that you guys have multiple Roms, I can build multirom or if you want, you can use m.ksys... Remember?

Want proof? Search for it. I'm not fighting with you anymore, believe what you want.
However, to help you jog your memory, I've bulit mulitroom before, it was not that good.
(You said that)
Okay guys put up the measuring tapes we're all nerds here lol @Aaahh if you would build multirom that'd really help the community but as far as bickering over who's more involved or who done what just stop or move it to a private pm battle because frankly guys i don't want this on the first 2 pages of my thread.

Yeah you always get haters best way is to just ignore them or just say, i've put time and effort don't use it....I mean you should get more respect for what you do more like every developer deserves respect whether new or old. Sadly some people don't seem to see that and just demand and be selfish :/
Anyway I wish you luck with your rom keep up the good work
your the first person to get me to comment in like I don't know..6 months or so even though I come on daily just to see the roms xD
GUMMY
Gummy ROM is made for speed, stability and to stay as closely in line with AOSP as possible while still supporting a large amount of devices and giving you all of the features you love. It isn’t slowed down by features you’ll never use nor is it so slim as to be just another AOSP build.
Features:
* New base built from AOSP
* Status Bar Mods
* Theme Manager
* Hardware Key Mod
* Lock Screen Mod
* Many Wallpapers
* Performance Control
* Application Permission Controls
* Carrier Label Options
* Background Style
* Lock clock widget
Instructions for installations:
**Use whatever recovery, so long as it's 4.4 compatible**
1. Download ROM
2. Download Gapps
3. Push to sdcard
4. Reboot Recovery
5. Wipe Data and Cache
6. Install ROM
7. Install Gapps
8. Reboot System
Contributions:
* Thank you to Cyanogenmod for device and hardware repositories. Without this, porting Gummy to QCOM devices would have been nearly impossible.
* Thank you to Google for the best source code.
* androidfilehost.com for hosting our file servers!

Mein as well... enjoy folks, let me know how it runs! Tested on CDMA Photon Q (xt897), should work fine for other msm8960 moto's.
NFC, BT, turn on but are untested. Wifi works great, as does 3g.
I use PA gapps, but any 4.4.2 gapps should work. Enjoy!
If you folks have issues (I'm expecting an issue with the home button) let me know!
Thank you @arrrghhh as always. And glad to see you supporting our device. Will test and let you know
Im also having Home button not working issue, long press on home brings up the google cirlce.
Battery isnt great, similar to probam/cyanfox/validus.
best battery life i got was on pure speed, but there's no new update on that rom

All of the msm8960 (non-DT) moto's use the same common kernel - so Atrix HD, Razr HD, Razr M, Photon Q. The new moto's (X, new DROID's Mini/Maxx/Ultra) or the msm8960dt's are a different SoC.
I support Carbon on all the msm8960 moto's, so supporting Gummy on all shouldn't be an issue

If, sometime in the future, you don't have too many projects going on, could you try to get an Omni build?
I tried it once, but got an error (everyone was getting it at the time), tried to get it to re-sync but it wouldn't because it wasn't initialized or something so reset the init, then re-ran envsetup, then tried to sync or build again but it wouldn't work no matter how much redundancy it had, so I just gave up... I'm not very patient...

I built Omni for the Photon Q... let's just say a) it was a pain. b) it didn't boot. I had people helping, and I had to revert 3 commits from the kernel... then it booted but was HORRIBLY slow.
I figured there was a lot missing for the msm8960's in general, or at least the motos. I might give it another go, but last I tried, it was not exactly "ready" for our devices. Too many changes were needed to just get it working!
Home key still broken on today's with clean flash.
Also is this the actual AOSP keyboard or is it a relabeled Google keyboard? I don't remember the AOSP keyboard having swipe.

Damn, the commit is in qcom-common, and it "appears" like it went in before the nightly ran...
Perhaps I need to put the change in all the device trees...

I tried both clean and dirty and it was the same. Also I can't delete the boot animation. It says it's a read only filesystem and I can't change permissions. Using ES File.

This is my personal build and just want to share with you guys here. I'm not a dev, just an Android enthusiast who knows a thing or two. And a flashaholic like all you guys here in XDA.
It's CM12 but built with Linaro toolchain(ROM side) and has some few cherry-picks like Clock-Customization, Navigation bar height option and smooth-scrolling mod options.
It also has new bootanimation and AOSP keyboard swyping gesture.
SuperSU and Viper4Android will be shown on "Settings" page if you are using them.

I may make an F2FS version and multi-ROM compatibility as well with the stock kernel. I'll give it a try this weekend.
Right now though, you can still make it as a secondary ROM. Just make sure you're on latest 2.8.3 twrp for multi-ROM.
It seems I've been very late to the CM12 ROM party hence the almost no-response here, I understand that. But anyways, I'll still continue to update this whenever I have a chance and since I'm using my own build anyway so I might as well always share it.
Next build, another cherry-pick will be added. An option for smooth-scrolling mod, it will be placed in the "developer option" page.
There is another unofficial stock cm12 thread, but don't let that detour your work. Can never have enough Roms. You've only had it posted for a day. Give it time
New build is up!
Synced CM sources on 17-Jan, 09:00AM HKT
Add another cherry-pick(from Temasek git), smooth scrolling mod options:
/**

* 0 = force to enable scrollingCacheEnabled regardless of app setting
* 1 = default is to enable scrollingCacheEnabled unless app specifies
* 2 = default is to disable scrollingCacheEnabled unless app specifies
* 3 = force to disable scrollingCacheEnabled regardless of app setting

You might be late to CM party but you are one of first to publish rom with theme engine. So thumps up for that [emoji106]. Haven't tested it out though.
Looks like CM needs to work more.
In quick settings didn't find much options almost stock one with just the ability to rearrange them. Also no download and upload speeds in status bar.

Maybe that's for devices with external SD card or a non-unified storage setup. So when they move the apps to SD card it will show up there. Not needed by Nexus since it's a unified storage anyway.
Not sure though, so many commits has been merged since I last Synced and I didn't check the Gerrit notes much for all the changes. Many awesome features has been merged, kudos to CM, all credits to them.

Yup this is for devices with sd card slot.
Oh, I just noticed one person voted and gave this ROM a 1-star.
I can understand it, but at least take some time to report what problems you encountered with this ROM and I'll see what I can do. The first build has been very solid for me the past few days and this new build today has brought more features and I expect it to be good as well(or better than the previous build). This is CM with some of my personal cherry-picks that I think won't be integrated in CM12.
Please be gentle on voting as it will give different perception to the would-be user in the future(if there's any).
TIA

Would it be possible to get delta updates for the rom?
I have used linaro based cm when i had a Galaxy s2 and i knw the difference and power of linaro optimisations...
^^ I'm sorry mate, but I have no idea on how to implement delta update.
Eeh.. So many unofficial CM roms and nothing is based on CAF All I really need is CAF CM12 built with SaberMod or Linaro toolchain, -O3 optimizations or JustArchi's Optimizations.
(OP pls consider, lol)

From what I understand, CM has a separate CAF branch and when everything is fine they move it to the main branch(where nightlies and unofficial ones are based from). I might be confused, so if anybody can shed a light about this CAF thing, feel free to do so.? I'm currently lazy searching about it , LoL.
BTW, JustArchi hasn't released his optimization for CM12 yet. I know he is testing privately but hasn't released one yet for public.

thx for JustArchi info. well, actually CAF is stable enough even now, I use Nameless ROM but it's just like CM but with more features, no optimizations.. If You could test it and consider releasing it, it would be great (and well, that ROM could be more original) :good: just look how much AOSP CM12-based roms we have:

Btw, I've also compiled an Unofficial Paranoid Android(Alpha). Those who wants to try it, get it from here -> Unofficial PA Alpha.
It also has the clock customization and nav bar custom height cherry-picks.

I'm seeing quite a number of downloads already for PA unofficial build. I guess nobody else are compiling for PA yet? Or at least nobody else are sharing their builds other than me, lol.
Been with it for few days now and it's been solid. I also flashed Franco kernel with it.
Now jumping to Layers/RRO bandwagon.

Her man,
Thanks for compiling these for us. I flashed the pa alpha last night and it just seemed like aosp. Did I miss something? I know they are slowly adding features so maybe that's it and also why they haven't released anything official. Thanks again for sharing your builds with all of us.

I tried 2 rom Orion and SOKP, I always hesitate on my final choice
I'm trying SOKP. Can I change the font type? I don't like the condensed default font.
Finally you made the thread! I've been using your ROM's for a while and they're the best Thank you. If I could only make 4G work on custom ROM's...

Thank you Travis, but I'm not a noob . You perhaps mean Overlays (SOKP has no CM Theme Engine because based on AOSP). But unfortunately Overlays on this rom doesn't really work.

Switched to Orion. It has less features than SOKP but the default font and it seems to work smoother. Thank you obsolete1!

Overlays work perfect in SOKP u must rember overlays are different from cm themes u can use as many as you like and there are hundred's out there ..the trick with overlays is to down load the ones you like and then copy them to vendor/ overlays and then set permission to rw/rw/rw and reboot just remember that you can't have two of the same overlay apk ..for example a settings apk for one theme and then set another settings apk only one will work at a time ..I know this might sound simple but you'd be surprised by the amount of people who don't get this..if you need any help with overlays lays just pm me..

I had same issue with sokp and layers manager app update it via play store .. but as I said if you're using single layers copy them to vendors/overlays ..the layers manager is only for a full theme like cm theme which I don't use ..I use single layers that way I get to chose what colors what I want to theme ect...I did use Orion but battery life not good compared to sokp I lost 30% battery overnight compared to 3% with sokp I always do a battery test over night with each ROM I use fully charge it then leave it overnight ...

As I understand overlays it would be difficult to set another font type overall with layers. But I will research.

You're right regarding the battery life on Orion. I also have a drastical battery drain! What a pity, I liked the rom.
Hello there, and first of all, thank you obsolete1 for sharing us so many builds :good:
I apologize if this is a little off-topic but i've tried every custom rom available for our peregrine, and most of them are pretty awesome (especially @beeeto's one and your SOKP and Orion).
But i can't get my klick button (pressy / xiaomi mikey clone), i've tried different apps but it's like cm based roms missed some drivers or something (as it is perfectly working on stock rom).
I created a thread some time ago about that but got not a single response, that's why i take the risk of being a little off topic here, i hope you won't mind.
Anyway, i will still flash builds randomly, even without klick quick button support, as i'm addicted to flashing for some years now :silly:
Have a great day, and thank you again !

It's got.. I actually can't say because right now, for some weird reason the SlimLauncher doesn't have the app drawer button. But yes, it doesn't have much considering they're very alpha.
So the story is that the Slim team lost one of it's core team members (who funded a lot of the Slim stuff like servers and whatnot). After this, Slim had some problems, they've addressed it on their website. Right now, (as far as I know) they are trying to fix up "AOSPB" or AOSP-CAF. AOSP CAF is a slightly tweaked version of AOSP optimized for Snapdragon devices. Most ROMs like Tesla, Minimal, Validus, Flayr are based on AOSPB as it is easier for various devices. (Regardless of what base though, I still have to manually add the exynos code to get the stuff building and running lol). That went a little Off-topic, but anyway, the Slim team is hibernating(?) as of now. [If I'm wrong somewhere, please do correct me]
Also if anyone's wondering why the delay in a ROM release (regardless of which), it's because my S3 had issues and I switched to an S4 for a while because I got a little mad at it. (Don't worry lol, this S4 isn't mine )
@Gokulbalram: what a pie, my dear ...downloading. Hope, you had sunny vacations.
Everything works so far, great for alpha! Only clock settings FC's. Waiting on a few candies as Pie and QS-edit

Yea I know they had some issues ,as seen on they G+ page,as well development for it was slow and everyone else noticed..well they are still in alpha and N is just around the corner.
Is camera and everyone else important working ? Will definitely try it later on
I tried this ROM, its very fast really fast. but there are some major bugs. 1) it can see 774MB of RAM, we have only 833MB ram and lower ram isnot good for us. 2) heat up. 3) custom actions for buttons 4) google play consumes so much RAM. I'll hope u'll fix bugs. thank you and good luck guys :highfive:
Does this ROM can read ExFAT cards?
NFC working?
Location working?
sorry for many questions but my bandwidth is limited.
@yoahmad1995: GPS-sensor works for me (after a reboot). @jujuna: no heating here, try a slimmer setup. Major bugs is pretty overdressed.
Great! ~ I'll be looking forward for this ROM~
Ah!! Been waiting for it. Thanks a ton. Good going dev.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Ok so I downloaded it through an coffee shop and flashed with mini gapps 19/5 build and its very smooth but here are the bugs that I suffered:
NFC not working (no NFC in settings)
Can't adopt SD Card always says corrupted same is Nameless ROM (I'm doing this to play my heavy games without moving files etc)
for app drawer in stock launcher, I switched to Google Now Launcher which comes with the gapps that I installed so its ok.
Otherwise, ROM is just great as haxynos even better.
A simple way to reach AppDrawer with StockLauncher: settings ..gestures. Define here any gesture...

Try not enabling ZRAM.
To be honest, ZRAM isn't "extremely needed".
The same even without zram.
Maybe ASV Level has something to do?
Well actually I really don't like cm roms because the wifi dropping issue. It's really so annoying and they couldn't solve it from cm11 to cm13. I hope Aosp build can be solution for us and cm goes to history. I think they should've accept google's offer but whatever. Thx for the aosp rom can't wait to see it as stable!

I'm telling this out if experience rather than knowledge. But if I were to explain, I'd say that ZRAM requires a lot of Input/Output speeds which is fairly low for data exchange compared to RAM (RAM operates on a far higher speed)
