So I wiped my moto x from twrp and there is no. OS installed anymore I had a custom rom before but it was very glitchy couldn't find the right rom none were working right so I wanted to go back it my original stock rom had no luck so I thought wiping it completely would fix things so I did. Unfortunately I had no backup and it took the OS with it so the phone is pretty much dead. My boot loader is unlocked whenever I turn my phone on it stays on that screen. I was wondering if getting a USB otg cable and getting a custom rom that works would fix it but I'm not sure I need help I messed up pretty bad can't connect it to the computer either all I can do is get into recovery mode on my phone help me please and thank you
You should be able to sideload a ROM thru ADB. Go into TWRP and start an ADB sideload session.
At command prompt type adb sideload and then the name/file location of the ROM you want to install.

Or better yet, instead of adb sideload, boot into TWRP then use adb push rom.zip /sdcard. Flash normally in TWRP.

Wait so I can do this without connecting my phone to the computer? Im pretty new to this just came from iOS. Also since my moto x doesn't have sd card slot my only option is USB otg cable and can't get it to connect to the computer since I can't boot it up
THANK You guys so much fixed my phone working perfectly I can't find a rom for moto x kitkat 4.4.4 that works with all the same features as the stock version

You won't because AOSP-based custom roms don't have the Motorola framework. If you want the Moto features but must have a custom rom, try one of the stock-based roms.

Can you get into the bootloader? If so, is it unlocked? If it is, try reflashing the latest TWRP then boot it from the bootloader. If that doesn't work, download the appropriate sbf for your phone/carrier and flash the imgs manually using fastboot.
OK so I managed to boot into TWRP on my phone, than connected the phone to my laptop and drag and dropped the ROM in the sdcard and flashed it. All is good now. Phewww.

Use a OTG cable and mount it in twrp... Or push a ROM onto the phone using fastboot.

can you give me step by step to push a rom into the phone useing fastboot
I feel like I have used up all my resources on trying to get my Sprint HTC One back to stock.
Last night I was able to unlock it with no trouble. I didn't realize this would wipe out all my media as well. (not the issue)
So I was going to go and install Benny's Cleanrom and I used Superwipe to clear all the cache and everything that was being restored from the back up. I flashed the Superwipe Rom and it seemed to have gotten the job done, but it also wiped out my OS.
So now I have been stuck with the ability of accessing bootloader and recovery, I am using TWRP right now. None of my pc's recognize my phone when I try to mount it. The phone also shows errors when I try to do so, coming up stating that it cannot mount anything except usb otg. I don't have a USB OTG cable right to use, so that option is still out the window.
I have tried this method
I have tried this method multiple times but ADB was not working. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317989
I have tried the Fastboot method, which had me relocking the phone and running the ruu. Though since I am on the latest version 1.3, the 1.2.9 RUU I was trying to use kept on failing. When doing it through Hasoon's AIO tool it seems that the ruu works when I flash the ruu zip. Though running it the first time it would show up that it failed, but when I re-flash it the second time on the cmd line it shows successful though on the phone the green bar never completes it and it stays at like 95% and doesn't complete the install on the phone.
If someone knows how to get my phone back to stock I would be very appreciative. I am new to rooting on the HTC One, I previously rooted my Evo 3D and my girls SG2.
If someone wants to help me out with team viewer, I will gladly allow anyone to assist me in that matter. I am just hoping that this can be resolved.
Now I see when I type ADB devices in cmd, it shows FA33ZS907479 recovery. I don't know if this has any relevance in that it sees the TWRP recovery.

I work weird hours so if you can wait and I'll help or you can try to do it yourself look here Q21
After flashing my xt1058 with a custom ROM (Eclipse), i realized my phone was having some issues.
So i tried to factory reset it. I accidentally wiped system (TWRP) and now i'm currently looking at the loading screen. It just stays there, white with the moto logo and nothing happens. I tried running 'Factory' in fastboot too, but nothing changed.
Can anyone help me to restore my 4.4.2?
Hope i haven't bricked my phone. Fastboot shows no errors.
You probably will need to rsdlite or fastboot back to stock 4.4.2 image.....IF its available yet for your phone.

RSD Lite did it for me. Download the 6.1.6 version along your retail rom and follow these steps here:
http://wccftech.com/steps-to-restor...lite-att-sprint-t-mobile-us-cellular-verizon/
Note: If you can't get adb to boot to bootloader, just use the common method, down volume+power buttons.
fastboot flash system system.img
or
In TWRP with sideloading activated: adb sideload rom.zip
I ****ed up. I accidentally deleted everything from the bootloader menu. I was just about to flash a ROM onto the phone and forgot about it not having an SD card so all the internal data was wiped.
The phone is now always on and stuck on the green HTC logo with quietly brilliant written underneath.
Just before this the bootloader was unlocked and the phone was S-OFF. When I plug the phone into my PC it does not get recognized. Is there anything I can do via fastboot or adb to get something back onto the phone? I can't access recovery because it's stuck on the logo. Sometimes when I hold the power button the screen will go black but moments later it will go back to the HTC logo. I assume I'm in some sort of bootloop but I have no idea.
Is there anything I can do? This is an absolute nightmare.
I've tried fastboot reboot-bootloader but that says < Waiting for device >.
I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks in advance.
Edit: I just got into recovery. Don't want to lose my chance, what should be my next step?
Sideload a Rom and install it! You use TWRP?

Yes, you should install now with sideload. In TWRP under "Advanced" in CWM based recoveries under install zip/from sideload
But if there is no connection between ADB and your device it won't work.
Wait for a minute when it is connected and maybe the driver will get re-installed so sideload might work then.

Yes I'm using TWRP.
I did a sideload of a Paranoid Android ROM. After it completed I tried a reboot but the device still warns me that there is no OS installed so I haven't done it yet. Although it said the install completed I'm worried it may not have as a result of this message.
Ok rebooting did in fact boot into the ROM. All is well.
I love you all.
It's stories like this that keep giving us beginners the courage to continue trying new things. This forum has to be one of the friendliest I've found.

X1053, rooted and unlocked bootloader on T Mob US
Tried to install a new kernel but it failed. Wiped cached (factory reset in twrp) and now it won't boot past the animation logo.
As its not booted into the OS, windows won't recognize it as a device so i can't install a new rom to try again. Windows 8 'bings' when I connect it but it won't load as a drive.
I CAN get into AP Fashboot Flash Mode If I then go to Recovery, it still takes me to twrp. But there are not zip files to install that work and I can't work out how to copy them over without windows recognizing the device?
Thanks in advance
You'll maybe need to flash the same stock firmware version you're on now...4.4 or 4.4.2 or whatever version you were on. Then root again.
This will help you...

Thanks for the reply. the problem is I can't connect to the phone to transfer a new firmware on. It 'bings' on USB plug but won't open as a USB drive. I can't get the phone to boot, can only get it to recovery. i tried reinstalling the motorola drivers again but still no luck.
When it was running Ok, I could plug it in (when it used to load into the android OS OK) and it would appear as a USB drive in Windows 8. I also tried on a different laptop.

When you boot into bootloader, does the phone itself recognize that it is connected via USB? If so, you have to obtain the current SBF of your phone and flash over the files via fastboot.exe and mfastboot.exe.
There are plenty of guides throughout this site. Take your time and read everything before you make your first move.

OK panic nearly over! I managed to get it flashed using RDS lite. 4.4 is back on now, although I lost my root Not sure I want to go down the whole downgrade to 4.2.2 etc but I'll see. Thanks again
Just adding a reply in case anyone has a similar issue.
RSDLite managed to get the firmware back on. It lost root, but what actually happened is the recovery got deleted / corrupted.
So i went back through the rooting guide which started by adding twrp and then flashing. Rebooted, and SuperSU tells me all is OK and root is there.
Is your phone recognized by fastboot or adb?
Since your bootloader is unlocked, manually flash the 4.4.2 firmware files, then TWRP, then boot into recovery, use adb to push SuperSU or whichever root program you prefer to /sdcard, then use TWRP to flash it.
