I upgraded from a Note 3 and I am glad I did! Much better performance and battery life. Best of all, no bloatware that I'll never use I would highly recommend the Nexus 6

I went from the 2 to a G3 to this. Very happy.

Note 2 two years....Note 4 for a month...then Nexus 6. Glad I made the move.

Note 3 for a year to note 4 for about 2 weeks then to nexus 6 for me. Make a list of what you want out of a phone and then go from there. Happy camper.

Note 2 L900 straight to Nexus 6. So worth it.

How does the screen brightness compare between the two?
That's the only negative I can think of about the Note 2... brightness is a bit on the low side.
Plus I'll surely enjoy the powerful speakers on the Nexus 6 (not saying that the speaker is bad on the Note 2 'cause it's not).
Brgds...

Had the Note 2 for two years and loved it. Upgraded to the N6 on Christmas Eve and haven't missed one thing about Note 2. Definitely a huge improvement. I never used the multi screen on the Note so I don't miss features like that. Pure android is so much better. It's worth the change just for that alone.

Iphone 4 > Nexus 6
I JUST got my nexus 6 two days ago, straight from an Iphone 4. It is freaking incredible. So glad I upgraded.

[Q] Get the Note or wait for the Note 2?

Hello all,
I'm due an upgrade in June and have my eye set on the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy S3. The one thing that compels me is the size of the screen on the Note, so I'm probably more inclined to the get the Note.
The only thing is, I don't want to buy the note and have the note 2 come out 2 months later, lol.
Maybe you guys can help me out here.

If you like to read and browse on a big screen then the note or the next iteration of the note is the solution. No contest there, anything less than 5 inch to me belongs to more of a phone. I am using the 4.7 inch HTC one x and the note, the 0.6 inch difference is missed when using the x. there are some occasion I wish a carry a smaller phone but on most occasion I am happy to fit the biggest size phone. The Samsung galaxy tab 7.7 on some occasion is perfect, yet the 5.3 for all occasion is perfect. Note 2 (700$~800$)won't be out international till November ish since that is when the original note got released. Buy note when possible keep it in good shape, resell and buy note 2. Dual core in euro note and lte note is adequate for most. So buy now and love life.

I agree - best phone on the market hands down... It's blazing fast, and there's really no need for quad core for any current use of a smartphone apart from tegra games, which you can run through chainfire. There has been no word of a note 2

get the note if you need/want the s-pen features.
Get the S3 is that's what it is, or get the Galaxy Nexus for ICS and JB
Don't wait for the Note 2 it wont be out till next year at the earliest.
There isn't any official information about the Note 2 yet, so you should go for either the Note or the upcoming S3.
Get the note, Samsung didnt realise how popular the note would be as such they never rolled it out quickly accross all the regions instead taking a staggered approach. The chances of a note 2 this year would be slim so enjoy what we have now
I think you should get the note if you love big screens like most of us here or get the S3 if you want more power and probably better spec which I am sure is going to be more expensive as well. But remember that there is always a better phone around the corner.
you should wait for the note 2
in the mean time use a string telephone
There is no announcement about the Note 2. Go buy the Note 1 now and skip a generation for the Note 3 and that way you'll always feel a significant upgrade.

What a pointless question! Should I get an existing only just released phone or wait for a fabled unicorn? Only you can answer that buddy. Personally, I'd go for a phone that is on the market (and amazing, by the way) rather than wait it out for the next generation which could still be years away!
S3 or Note - again only one of them is actually for sale (or has any firm specs) so you can't really make that decision either. If your contract is up in June, wait until then and see what is actually available at the time!
Pretty much everyone who has a Note will tell you how happy they are with it though. (Apart maybe the spoiled children who aren't happy we are having to wait for ICS )
Just get the Note. You could wait for Note 2, then for Note 3 etc. And the fact is that Note 1 is already amazing.
what about 3
You should wait for the note 3.... I dont understand people... You can also wait for the 4 i have heard it should be better...
Bought the Note now, it won't hurt you.
In matter of fact I do think this is one of my smartest decision i made. Definitely useable for work, for fun or just take a simple sketch

Whatever you buy and whenever you buy it, there's a always new model just around the corner, so there's no perfect time to buy. I can say that the Note is by far the best phone I've had - better than the S2 I had.

I m confused... should I buy note 2 over note 1

Hi guys....
I hv note 1 with leaked ebee's stocked lsa rom with air view function
Logically it just like note 2 and the only porb is its battery life that's it otherwise its smooth and fast
One of my friend want to purchase my note on a acceptable price
I also feel that my note has bigger screen becoz its little wider then note 2 and the home screen is much better then note 2 ( note 1 has 5*5 and note 2 is 4*4 just like s3 )
I like my note 1 should it worth to upgrade
Because my main concern is screen and note 2 screen is little smaller in front my note
Guys help me plz

I upgraded (not really an upgrade in my opinion) to a note 2 from my beloved note 1.
The only good thing about the note 2 is the 2gb ram. I hate led notifications so turned that off. Really missed the wider an in my opinion better screen of the note 1. The spen on the note 1 I much preferred I guess I just got used to it the note 2 spen is way to over sensitive even if you do adjust the potentiometer inside. Hate air view just annoyed me. Ok the battery life is better but the screen width on the note 1 for me is perfect.
i wouldnt upgrade for now when so many new phones are round the corner
even i thought to upgrade to note2. i borrowed my friend's note2 for a day and realized that note 1 is better.
now im waiting for S4/Note3. will compare the phones with xperia Z(i luved the water and dust proof design) then upgrade from my note
Thanks guys, I guess, I should stay with my note for a while...

Note 3 for me, note 2 was not an update. They just refined it for those who didnt have the note and were interested in getting a phablet.
Yes i like the note 1 screen and its design as compared to note 2. But i am not satisfied with the plastic of my phone. So changed my mind to wait for note 3 rather i will go for the motorola X phone.
There have been rumors that a touchless interface is to be incorporate in the s4, so it will explain if its something worth having.

Im confused too, I dont know wich shoukd I take. Im thinking about 2 years contract in uk. There is "only" 93 pounds different beetween them during 24 monts. Monthly is less then 4 pounds, £21 note 1 and £24,5 note 2. Is it worth paying more for note 2?

Any former Note 4 owners here?

Looking at getting the G4 to replace my Note 4. Anyone else here a former Note 4 owner? Thoughts?
i had a note 4 . I like this phone better the screen on the lg is amazing. I will also note that I currently use my nexus 6 because I hate not having root.
Came from the note 4.. Now that we have root this phone is great
I came from a note 4 as well, besides the random touch issues the G4 beats the Note 4 by good amount. Battery life is starting to get better now it's settled in and the screen/sound is really nice.
kinda miss this fella just booted it up and i miss that HUGE display the lg g4 was supposed to be a hold over till the note 5 but they ****ed that up so im thinking of going back to it for awhile
Now that I am a full week in I have to say I really like the G4, I have been able to customize what I want and although I haven't tried the root process yet I just got 48616 64 bit Antutu benchmark so I am pleased.
Back on my note 4 with the rooted 5.1.1 man it flys
Note with the 5.1.1 update is night and day fast as lighting love it and looking to get the s6 edge plus or moto style. Tried the g4 and found it to small coming from a nexus 6 so i took it back and got the note 4 .

Leaving Note 4

Have had note 4 for 22 months - have had to change the note 4 twice - One was cracked lcd (with a trivial fall) and second was NAND failure. Working out the math - the phone and its replacements (including the insurance excess) has cost me £650.
Its a brilliant phone, and worked flawlessly till android 6.0.1 came along and have had a note 2 - which needed replacing aswell.
Since its time for upgrade, id love to have Note 7 but at a price premium of £750 - I dont think so.
Will take a punt with OnePlus3 - Its half the price and has pretty much the same internals. For what i have been using the OnePlus3 easily trumps
So why this topic? Just to let us know you have a OnePlus 3 now?
Well congrats and bye then.

i'd suggest you getting ZTE Axon 7 for 450 EUR,
it has QHD resolution (like note 4, vs FHD @ OP3), with dolby stereo speakers (that users are raving about).
also it has QC3 charging and you'll be able to use your QC2 charger from note 4 for quickcharge.
OP3 has incompatible proprietary charging.
i'm personally still holding to Note 4, waiting for the Android 7 ROM.

nah, many users love version 5...
i decided to wait for 7.
2 months ago i had hopes that Note 7 could be a viable upgrade, but with it's insane price, list of problems, and curved screen, i'm somewhat forced to stay on Note 4, or look for other optons
(like ZTE Axon 7).
let's wait for Android 7 ROM and see how it goes.
guys ! MI5 or OnePlus 3 ?
Zte axon 7

Why not the Snapdragon S7 shown here? Price still to high?

JUMP'd from my Note 5 to the Note 7

I had only owned by Note 5 for a year, but decided to use the JUMP program to upgrade to the Note 7, specifically due to the IP68 classification and the microSD slot. I didn't really think too much about just how much of a bad deal this really is until the exploding phone debacle. I really love the Note series, I've owned a Note 2, 4, 5, and 7 so if they recall the Note 7 <again> I would most likely have to downgrade to the Note 5. Since I had already owned, and paid off 50% of my previous Note 5, I would take a significant loss by going back to that same phone. Apparently, the best I can hope for in the recall scenario is to get a Note 5 at full price, and lose a full year of payments.
I guess this fiasco has taught me one thing - Never use JUMP again!
Same issue, and I bet there are other. Tmobile / Samsung needs to have a plan for people like us.

I lucked out and didn't send my Note 5 back when the recall was announced and I called them to keep it rather than get a loaner phone.
