I´m searching a special App for my 8X: Is there any app which can read NFC tags and use them to interact like starting bluetooth or something like this? On Android, there is NFC Task Launcher. Does WP8 has something similar?
thanks in advance!

Search "NFC Tag" in the Store. I was thinking of getting some NFC tags and had a look the other day. There were a few of them and I'm pretty sure they had the ability to launch a specific app as well as activating WiFi, Bluetooth etc.

Starting apps can be done. Changing settings is a no-no in Windows Phone due to security concerns. The most is the ability to open the settings page (e.g the wifi settings) but you have to turn it off yourself.

Hello,
Does anyone know how to remove the ongoing Wifi Notification from the notification tray?
I’m referring to “Wi-Fi connected to [network name]” sticky notification.
I want to remove it because it is really annoying and takes up space in the tray .
I know that there was a hack made for Verizon’s Galaxy S4 however that required custom recovery. Currently my Note 3 is rooted (root de la vega method) but the bootloader is still locked.
Any ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!!
Think you can do it with xposed/wanam mods.

It is in Wanam. You all have to install the Xposed framework then install wanam.

Not sure why it made it an attachment but here is the screen shot.

You can disable this without rooting

For the longest time when I first got the Note 3 was very annoyed with this "feature". I finally dug deep enough and found where you can turn this off.
Settings > Wi-Fi Settings > [Click Menu when on the Wi-Fi list/options screen] > Advanced > Wi-Fi Notifications: uncheck.
I mean, who would think to push the menu button when already this far into a settings screen? I didn't, until now... So happy now as this was one of my only real complaints I had with the Note 3 (stock).
Ugh I had such a bad experience with Xposed / Wanam. It nuked battery life and made MMS messages stop working. Had to uninstall it, not worth it.

I couldn't locate the final setting, however I bought a Note 3 rooted it but it was already on the stock 4.4.2.
I currently have a htc one m8 stock android 4.4.4 with verizon and discovered an app called Notification Cleaner by Sagar Vaidya. Its free on the playstore and workes like a charm. I had it display system apps and checked off android system and have yet to receive another notification. Hope this helps some users.
i miss the quick access to disable my mobile data/LTE/4G connection on the S5. S4 had it right at the top. Best i can find is a widget called 'Data ON-OFF'. Couple other apps/widgets would turn it off, but not back on. i would have to go into the settings, more networks, mobile networks, and check the box by mobile data.
anyone know of a way to get this in the drop down menu in the top? On the S4 it was just a swipe and touch on the 'mobile data' button.

Not w/o root access. You can follow these steps though:

thanks. widget works pretty good, just have to exit the program instead of bringing down the drop down menu. its like AT&T wants you to use up your data plan
I always use *#*#4636#*#*

yes, follow this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2721550
And it will add the disable/enable data to your notification panel and quick toggles. Some carriers have removed that quick toggle from the panel.
Note that this will just disable/reenable all data, if you need to specifically disable like LTE only and fall back to 4G, you will need a app like phone info from the app store.

But with our AT&T phones not able to root would we be able to do that? In the tutorial it mentions needing root. Thats why I am asking
Yeah, I forgot that you are all locked sown on AT&T variants. You'll need to wait for a root method and then this will work.

I haven't had any luck so far and am curious if anyone has found a hotspot toggle widget that works for the S6. AT&T has spec'd the phone without the hotspot toggle in the quick settings like the other carriers have, so it requires digging into the mobile hotspot and tethering settings.
I'm looking for the same too, it's really irritating that it's buried, especially given that I'm paying for a plan that includes that feature, I miss the toggle in the quick settings on my One M8.
Att is getting me upset, first no download boaster now this

Has anyone tried es explorer?

Have you tried samsung fix for this?
I downloaded fix-toggles.zip from sam mobile but it doesn't seem to be there anymore. If it doesn't work I can send that to you but can't host the download.
G920A with car mode
I337 stock NJ4, rooted, unlocked
Sm-T537A NE1stock, rooted
The toggle in quick setting exists and it works fine

I have an AT&T S6 as my work phone and I also lack the toggle. No, the two-finger pull down doesn't make it magically appear - it does not exist on the phone. For the longest time I was using THIS .apk (built for the S4) and it worked beautifully, but with the recent 6.0.1 update the quick toggle is gone and the .apk no longer works.
I would really love to find something similar that works with 6.0.1 and adds a toggle in the quick settings, not a widget on the home screen, as I use the mobile hotspot all the time for connecting my work laptop... If anyone reading this can help, there are lots of us looking...
Bump... Anyone find a solution, I too would prefer a toggle in quick settings but would be fine with a widget.
Didnt see anybody make a post about this so I figure I would post a new thread. Is anybody missing the data toggle button? I know Samsung is natorious are not putting them in but I believe in some of the other note 7 forums people have the data toggle in the quick panel.

The toggle is hidden, but you'll need Nova launcher or App Shortcut Maker. Here's the thread on it:

And here's the detailed instructions from the thread above:

I don't know why you'd need to toggle mobile data, though, as that's what airplane mode is for.

Except airplane mode effectively disables all signal transmissions. Wifi Bluetooth and gps included.
Talking about that data toggle. its more convenient to just swipe down and press the button vs going to settings connections then data.
Ya I noticed earlier today that the mobile toggle wasn't available as a quick toggle. Unfortunately without root, I doubt you can add it in. I remember adding it on my note 4.. I cant remember the exact way I added it back it because it's been so long. All you do is add the " ;mobile data " to where all the another toggles were listed.
Is VOLTE/SMS working with mobile data off? Because that maybe a reason to restrict mobile data in some other ways. I think my phone is factory set not to update unless on wifi and even if I go to play store myself, when on LTE, it will give me warning about large file download over cell network, which I would have to override, to actually start the download. Other traffic is miniscule, couple Kb here and there, but it is interesting that programs I haven't used for days still access network. Another reason to keep asking Google to make forcestop apps easier? The left button to close all apps is a step in right direction, but I'm not sure what it does (just makes you feel better?), because apps still running in the background and can be killed. Maybe word "closing" has a different meaning at Google, that I'm used to.
