Hello friends!
I am using a SGS I9003 since the last 6 months and still love it. One of my friend recently brought a SGS I9000 and he wants to sell it as it hangs very often. The firmware version is 2.3.3, Baseband version is I9000DDJV4.
As I too am looking to buy the same, I thought to grab this deal but now I am in doubt as to why this is happening and should I buy a I9003 or a I9000.
The display is also gives a little greenish tinch.
Is all this normal? Is there a way to stop this freezing problem? Will loading the latest ROM or a custom ROM solve this problem?
Kindly advice...
Hey,
I can only say you, that im very happy with my i9000. It doesnt hang up often. But I also heard from a friend, who has got an i9000 that his one, hangs sometimes. But I guess it depends on the rom that you installed.
Also you can use a colorfix and/or another kernel, that improves the colors of the display.
Kind regards
Well is used will root it, then you can install custom roms and then it won't hang. Also 2.3.3 waS indeed buggy.

SGS I9000 is a very good thing and you have lots of fun with them
So I am likely to be giving my mother in law my Galaxy S as I now have a Galaxy S2.
Now I am wondering what recommendations people have for software I should put on it. Should I put MIUI on it or run it with stock? Her technical skills are somewhat lacking.
You are so kind. If let say Galaxy s 3 available, I'm gladly accept the sgs II one .
IMO, you use stock ROM or custom ROM that close to original samsung ROM.

Don't really have much choice in giving it to her. Wife decided it would be good but I wanted to keep it to play around with. But if I do it at least I am allowed to upgrade my phone later on.
Hi Guys
I recently flashed my Samsung Galaxy S2 and installed cm7.1 with the nightly build 08/12/2011.
Everything works great except when I call people, I sound like I am underwater and have to shout to be heard. Even then, I still sound far away. I can clearly hear the people I am speaking to but they cant hear me.
I do not experience same problem when I use skype.
Please help
There is no 8/12/2011 nightly, maybe you mean the KANG posted in this forum.
You could try different things, from installing an official nightly first, wipe datas etc. I have that Kang too and i dont experience that problems.
Oh wait... SGS2 ? this is SGS forum...
Thanks I shall post in the right foru

Hey guys! I just rooted my girlfriends phone. I am wondering your suggestions for a fast and stable ROM. My gf does not have 3G/4G she just has WIFI / basic calls / SMS.
I was looking at the CM10.1 rom but I experienced a lot of issues with answering the phone and not being able to hear anyone on my Verizon Galaxy S4. I was told this is a CM10.1 issue.
Which sucks... bad... because CM10.1 rocks..
Does anyone have any pointers for us? Thanks in advanced!

cm10.1 and my roms based off it only have these problems
1: First call the other end cant hear you : fix: Call voicemail on every boot
2: Some random skipping occurs when playing audio
3. In call volume is low. Depends how well you can hear
you said cm10.1 has those 3 listed issues... but what about cm10.2 based (4.3)??

I'm using CM 10.2 - it's in the forums under "AOSP 4.3 [KANG]". Runs fantastic. No issues with sound. Best experience I've had on this phone so far. Apparently there are some camera glitches with it, but otherwise it's perfect.

Camera doesnt really work right.
Sometimes music skips... Its a lot better than cm10.1 though
Bluetooth not working
The most stablest rom in this time is coming from albinoman887 CM.10.2 it works good all other devs has end his work with many bugs in their Roms
