Rooted, S-On, M7wls(spr) running LiquidSmooth v4.0 (Android 5.0.2)
All the features of the phone work fine except for the phone. Whenever I try and play a call I get a message saying "No installed activity available to handle selected action."
I've googled, and looked here on xda. I cannot find any solution. Any help is greatly appreciated!

So I bought a Nexus One on craigslist. I thought it was all stock until I ran into the "cannot establish reliable sever connection" when I tried to sign into my google account. My question is how do I restore my phone back to the newest version of android 2.2. It is not unlocked (no unlocked padlock on boot screen). Under "Build number" it says "passion-userdebug Froyo FRE74 28579 test-keys." Under Android version it says "Froyo" instead of 2.2. And many of the 2.2 features are not present such as wifi tethering, and the new icons at the bottom center of the home screen aren't there. I only have the single grid icon and not the set of 3 with the browser and phone. And i'm not sure where to go from here. I want to be able to log into my gmail account and the android marketplace. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Assuming you verified you have Data Connection enabled and have the proper APN settings::::
Your seller may have rooted the phone without necessarily unlocking the bootloader. see
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=710842
Also, the link I just added shows the different versions of 2.2 (missing a couple) but FRE74 doesn't look like one of them.
First find out if it is a rooted phone, Check the app drawer for any SuperUser or Spareparts icon. That or try installing Busybox from the marketplace and executing it.
If it is rooted, flash one of the many ROMS available on XDA, Cyanogen just released his beta version tonight. Personally I use Enomther Rom. Official version is out.
And BTW, read up on the process of flashing... most require you to wipe first.
and if it is not rooted....
All you need to do is do a Factory Reset
Settings / Privacy / Factory Data Reset
After that check what your Build number is.
Then you can go to your dialler and enter
*#*#checkin#*#*
What that will do is connect your phone to the Google servers, say hello, and the server will send the update to your phone. (Force OTA - Over The Air update)
My data connection is working, I browse the internet fine except for the youtube app and gmail.com. When I go to gmail.com through my browser I get "a secure data connection could not be established." But yahoomail and flickr logins work fine on both wifi and 3g. No superuser or spareparts icons in the drawer. I can't access the android marketplace since I cannot log into my google account. I did the factory restore and the build number is the same. I did the checkin from my dialer and it said "checkin failed"
So it seems like the phone is rooted but I just need to flash a rom with the froyo features I want. Any links or guides to doing this? I read and superboot seemed like the easiest way.
Sounds to me like an issue with radio... flash a new radio might do the trick. However, before I start messing around with the radio not knowing anything about my phone, I'd look into doing this first.

This will bring your Nexus One back to it's original shipping rom. It's gonna be alot of work, BUT this IS almost a $600 phone.
So I followed those directions and i'm back on android 2.1 and i can log into my google and everything seems to work fine. I want to update to 2.2 so I go to system updates, download the update, and install. But during the install process it shows the little box with the android and the loading bar but it stops and goes to the android and the exclamation point. I'm not sure what to do from here. My Build Number is ERD79
Hold Volume up and press Power (or possibly the other way around). That should bring up the recovery menu.
I tried once with the OTA update I downloaded, the phone restarted and tried to install by itself but went to the android with the !. So I download a froyo rom and rename it update.zip, not .zip.zip. And put it on my phone, I'm in the blue recovery screen and it says signature error. I'm thinking its the wrong rom i'm using.
Hey everyone, first post here.
I recently bought a NEW HTC Dream off eBay. After receiving it, i tested out with my sim card, and found out that it does indeed work with my network (3 Australia), and everything else functions as normal (google sync, sms, internet).
However, i know that the firmware is 1.1, and i want to upgrade it. After trying to "Check for updates" in the normal settings, an error occurs and force closes the settings, not allowing me to upgrade.
I checked the info, and this is what it is (see text file attached as i cannot post "links")
the phone IS "T Mobile" branded, yet it works with all of my settings in Australia, except for the upgrade.
I tried to download 1.5 various times, and tried to upgrade manually, but it will not work.
My question - what is going on, why can't i upgrade to the latest firmware ??
Thanks everyone in advance

please guys, need help !
Hi,
I am having a problem setting up multiple users. I have installed the latest CarbonRom JB3 11-06 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2442576).
When I go to create a second user account the tablet will crash restart when I click on "Set up now". I looked and couldn't find anything about multiple user support being removed from the ROM so any help would be appreciated as I need to share the tablet.
I fixed the issue. Just went back to a 4.2.2 rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2373198
Hello Everyone...
Posting here first rather than in the "Update Failure" thread because I'm not so sure I have a "failure" with the update....just an issue after the udpate.
I have 2 cloned HTC M9 phones. I say "cloned" as they are exactly the same make, model, ROM, etc (one business, one personal phone). They have the following information if needed:
Sprint HTC M9
SuperSU Free v2.65
Custom ROM ViperOneM9 3.5.0 with no custom kernal
Android 5.1
HTC Sense 7.0
Kernal (standard) 3.10.49-perf-g26c593c

I updated some apps this as I normally do through Google Play. A little while afterward I was prompted to update the SU Binary. I did so on one of my phones. I hit the TWRP option (on the right side of the prompt screen), nothing happened, phone did not reset so I rebooted into recovery. The update ran automatically and the phone rebooted.
I noticed two issues (perhaps there are more). The huge problem is that I cannot make OUTGOING calls. I use a custom dialer PixelPhone Pro. I click on a contact to dial and nothing happens. I type in number to dial, hit the green "send" button to make the call, nothing happens.
I also tried the stock Phone app....same thing, cannot dial out.
I attempted to update the Profile and PRL for the phone, however, as that appears to need to make a "special call" that function is not working either
The other problem I noticed is with an app I have called Quick Settings. The app is always accessible through the pull-down notifications on the phone. Although the app is still installed and functional, it no longer appears in the pull-down notifications. I tried to reset the option to show it there (turning the option off and back on) and it will not show up despite the proper setting chosen.
I still have full root access as I tried a couple root apps (such as Titanium Pro) and have full root access.
I have been prompted on my other phone to update the SU Binary and I am concerned with doing so. Any idea why this is happening and how I can troubleshoot and fit my outgoing call issue??
THANK YOU all very much!!
Scott

**UPDATE**
Still problems....
Right after I first updated the binary the "only" problem was that I could not make calls which I could use the other functions of the phone. I rebooted the phone and I cannot reach any function of the phone because I constantly get the message "...the process com.android.phone has stopped" obviously related to the previous problems.
I dirty-flashed the ROM...that did no help. I even tried to flash an older SuperSU version (I don't know what that would have done....I'm running on HOPE now ) and that didn't help. Re-dirty-flashed the ROM a second time. Again that didn't help.
I flashed an old backup and THAT WORKED fine. Problem is that the backup is 6 months old. I could quit and totally clean/wipe/install the ROM and start again from scratch but I reeeeeeallly don't have time for that at the moment.
Is there ANY way I can simply get my com.android.phone process back?? Why did all this happen in the first place??
ANY help is greatly appreciated!! THANK YOU!!!
Hi all
Since I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8010 and downgraded it to cynogenmod 10 (Jelly Bean) I cannot use netflix like described by many other root users.
I sideloaded and installed an old Neflix version (version 3.16) compatible with Jelly Bean. This opens fine, but I get the known 0013 error "Sorry, we could not reach the Neflix service. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please visit the Neflix website (0013). "
The tip found elsewhere on the internet to delete / rename libdrmdecrypt.so or libomcrypto.so. does not work for me, the files are not found with my root file manager ("show hidden files" mode activated).
Can anyone help me? I am absolutely not keen to go back to the regular kitkat, my tablet is essentially not useable with that android version - way to slow.
Thanks
