I would like to root my Z3 Compact.
But only question i have is that 'is it harmfull to my battery life'.
Rooting will decrease my battery life or not?
Thanks
It won't be harmfull to your battery life, in fact, you will be able to do more tricks to save battery life ( disabeling system apps, getting advanced batt stats, use powerfull battery saving apps, etc).
ATM ,If you root, you will have an unlocked bootloader, wich mean loss of DRM keys ( photo qualty greatly decreased essentially) , but no impact of battery either
Velocy
Thank you

Hi. Is there a way to access xperia service menu on OmniROM? I tried pushing original app from Jellybean to /system/app, setting right permissions, rebooting and then "dial" *#*#7378423#*#* but it doesn't work...
I want to see what's the capacity of my battery. It will be two years since I have this phone and the battery starts to drain out really fast. I usualy get less than 2 hours of on-screen time which is really poor. Besides every lame battery test app shows that the condition is good or "100" and the original xperia service menu was the most accurate, always showed the capacity appropriate to the battery life (the shorter battery life was, the lower capacity there was, sometimes even ~1400mAh).
hi

Any conversations about battery life are very subjective. There are so many variables involved, what apps you use, what your local basestation is, even what wifi you home router uses along with what sort of charger you use, can all influence battery life and longevity. You can't compare your hours of use with someone else, unless you have two cloned phones and live in the same house and get up and go to bed at the same time
Fo me, best stock rom for battery life is presently Slim 2.0
I don't think KK roms were that good at battery saving.
I have had pretty much the same apps and same usage on my phone through KK, LL and now MM.
With MM I am looking a 4 days on one charge, when I was on KK it was 2 possibly 3.
Although to scew those figures I now use more battery saving apps greenify/amlify
So in reality, the different firmwares are probably all the same battery use, it's just that you get better at looking after the battery the longer you have the phone.

i wanna use most stable rom for z3 compact.
Im on stock mm but got problems like when screen locked wifi closing in 5-6 minutes. I tried every setting for fix it but I got no results. Got one problem like that. Sometimes volume setting's( that pops out when u click volume butt ons ) Call, media, alarms switcher not showing
Since upgrading to MM, and Racing tried tons of ROMs and other things, including every battery-saving app in existence, I still yearn for my old Lp battery life. So I turn to you to ask: what's your battery life on average use? SOT? 4G active? On time? Protected apps? Hw vs sw consumption level?

The features of the p8 lite battery are as follows: Non-removable Li-Ion 2200 mAh battery, Stand-by Up to 380 h (3G),
Talk time Up to 11 h (3G).
Install ESAL kernel stable on latest MM and set governor to smartMax. Root with systemless, forget about xposed. Just install & use greenify with root. For SOT, I find manual brightness to consume less battery. Press like button if I have helped.
