My Rescue unit uses an app which by using a URL the crew member can Auto respond as attending an incident.
Just wondering if anyone knows of an app that, when you press a button on the Pebble, will send this url? So an app you can add the url and will send when pressed.
Cheers
Should be pretty trivial with Tasker plus any number of Tasker-friendly watchapps (AutoPebble, PebbleTasker, Pebbly TaskWatch . . .).
Are you talking about a static URL or a dynamically generated URL?
P.S. Like your Hendrix quote. . .

How far have you got so far?
have you got you paypal business account set up.
There is an option to create a donate button along with an HTML code that you can copy.
In signature setup go to the view html option and paste in the code.

Realy looked and looked and looked, can't find a view html option in my signature. Tried internet explorer and mozilla firefox. On the bottum in section Signature permissions the option Allow html is Off.

If rather than going for HTML, you use the unencrypted paypal donate link (it says it's for email) and then use BBCode to add that link to an image, it works well.

I3v5y suggestion is a good one.
For info though the when in Edit Signature you'll see above the smilies an icon with a little "A" beside a big "A". That's the icon to use when swapping to HTML format.

www.tinyurl.com
search google "Paypal Donate"
check the very first result.
i tried the email one and it left a link, not a button
Hi Guys
Hope you can help.
I load appointments in Outlook and Sync
The appointment contains the persons name and phone number.
I would like to make a call directly from the reminder or calendar.
Using the telephone number as a hypertext link would be great.
I am normally busy driving to the client so I cant copy and paste or write the number down. Copy and paste does not work when switching to phone mode, does not allow you to paste?
Would greatly appreciate a solution!
(using Touch Diamond)
Have a look at Pocket Informant 8. When you set the appointment you have an option in the righthand soft menu to insert contact link. This then allows you to have the appointment open and access contact info directly from the appointment. Hope this is what you are after.
make a search before u post. look here:

Thanks tempest2112, Pocket informant looks like something that may solve the problem, very useful!
Apologies KukurikU, I did look at the link you provided but don’t have a clue what they are talking about. My knowledge goes as far as copy and paste and installing a program
You need to upgrade to a 1.93 based ROM which has paste function in the dialer... (this one did my head in for ages until I flashed 1.93).
Still need to copy then paste though, so you'll just have to pull over for a second... hang on a mo, you should be doing that anyway!

never mind, i guess you didn't get to post #7. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2551269&postcount=7 by pure coincidence is my post.
try the app i am recommending there. i am sure it will fulfill yr wish....i am using it for 3 years and it does exactly what you are asking for. just keep yr stylus on a meeting (for example) and if there is any telephone number in the reminder or in the note the app will inquire if you want to dial it. no copy/paste!!!
sorry for the "you don't have a clue". can't help with that

Hi KukuriKU,
I have installed contactbreeze, but the PIM extension is not appearing in OUtlook (i am checking teh notes section). I am using the SwiftBL 6.5 version of ROM.
Are you using contactbreeze with the Diamond, and did you do anything special to make it work?
Thanks!
Part 1
nothing special.
first options/tweaks/apply dial menu extension.
second, go to the appointment/task that already contain a telephone number and by "long press" you'll get the option "dial number".
i think the set of pics should be enough. for more pics see next post.
if you still have questions, contact me
Part 2-3 more Pics
Her is the end of my explanations:
ContactBreeze Works now!!

Thanks for the excellent clarification provided KukurikU! I was trying to select the number in teh notes section and then trying a long press.... this just used to bring out teh cut/copy menu item. I didnt know I had to perform the long key press in the main screen... anyway many thanks for your help - issue sorted now.
BTW ContactBreeze does solve the issue of the missing dial from PIM feature in WM6.
The only extra thing I would wish is if it could handle pauses and auto-pin entry using DTMF. For example in many of my appointments I have a conf call number and then when I dial that I need to enter a pass code (maybe 4 or 6 digits).
What I usually do is provide something like +44800345678pp321458# to dial and there is no need to enter information manually. If contactBreeze had this feature then that would have made this the ultimate soluion!!
has anybody managed to get this working on the X1? I've tried a few java beds and currently on tnt thanks to another thread to get sky+ mobile record working but no luck on entering log in for SI. Their site says compatible with HTC / winmo devices so should be a way? thank
You have provided inaccurate information. There is no cuch application...
The company "sportingindex" has a mobile app called "Bet On The Move". If that's the app you are asking about, provide a download link and I'll try it.
Sorry orlesi, yes that's the app I meant. Link here
Just can't get any keystrokes into the i.d. or password boxes from on screen or hardwear keyboard.
Well, it's weird, but you'll have to use the number keys to enter the information. When you hold the blue button and activate the numbers on the keyboard you can use them as a keypad on a regular phone, the one with several letters for every number. It's kinda annoying and bizarre, but you'll get used to it.
Cheers .
I'd not thought of that, bizarre! thanks very much
What html code do I use for links in my signature? Have it link to say the thread on cognition or his site, the kernal thread or twitter?
Thanks in advance.

Forums don't use html code. They use BB Code. When you go to edit your signature, look for the icon that looks like the earth with a chainlink on it. That's the hyper link button. Self explanitory from there really...
Well that seems simple enough. Thanks man.

I don't have that.
any ideas? Also, what about making a picture the link? How do you do that?

Look at bbcode(dot)org(front-slash)examples (this 8 post thing is bringing me down... I tried to actually give you the code, but anything having to do with a weblink or the URL tag makes the forum angry). From there click "Posting Images" and it will give you an example that should work.
So you will need the image hosted somewhere (xda photo albums... think I saw that in the user CP?), get the address of it, and put that in for the IMG tag, and then you use the URL after the = sign. You should be able to copy/paste that and just change the http parts inside to suit what picture and link you want.

I deleted the beginning and ending bracket and replaced it with the Astrix* symbol so you know what it looks like. The text that you are linking is in red, and should go between the URL code. Hope that makes sense.
Quick way of doing it is, highlight the text you want linked>once it is highlighted click on the insert link button> paste the url > and hit ok. Now the text that you are linking should be in the middle as above. Hope any of this makes sense, can get confusing.
Hope this is what your looking for.
edit: if you don't see those buttons, it's probably because you don't have those privileges
Thanks guys, I'll try this out when I get home and be sure to button thank yall.
Uh, well it's still not letting me. Still comes out as url string, no text link. But now I know how to do it. I'll check with a mod and see if permissions are set to no for me. At the bottom of the page it says they are all good. Thanks again guys.
Hi all,
So at work we have a walkie talkie radio system that people use. Sometimes people have it turned down or off when someone is calling them.
I usually send them a text telling them they are being called on the radio.
So can a task be made with a widget that when I select it, then it will first it give me a dropdown list of people on my contact list. After I choose a person have another drop down list. When I select those two people, tasker would send a text to the contact from my first dropdown box saying "(second name) is trying to call you on the radio!"
I hope I made myself clear.
Thanks in advance.
Look into AutoContacts plugin for Tasker. It will help you. In addition, Tasker has a "Send SMS" action and supports variables.
I don't think you'll find anyone who will just have this sort of thing already made and ready to go for you. You'll likely need to create this from scratch and push through the bugs as you test it. Think it through on pen and paper if you are having difficulties.
People are here on forums to help out with specific functions of Tasker... Most people don't fill whole profile/task requests here.
Thank you for the reply! I'll look into AutoContacts and give it a shot.

As an added request, I'll narrow it down. Does tasker allow for input to be selected from a list?

Perhaps a scene would be best used for this if it is a small set of static individuals to choose from. Snackbar plugin or Material Design Plugin can be used in the place of scenes many times.
