One thing I miss about my moto x is that it had bluetooth profiles for each device paired. That meant if I could set half volume on one bluetooth device and full volume on another and it would remember it whenever I connected to any of the devices. On the N6 I constantly have to decrease the volume when I'm connected to my car after being connected to my headphones. Do any of the ROMS out there provide this feature?
Thanks

should be doable, but it depends on the app that accesses the heart-rate monitor as what type of device it's being addressed.
I know, because I use a BackBeat 903 headset for "phone" connection and a Motorola T505 for "Audio" connection, which pipes my music from my N1 into my car stereo via FM. When a call comes in, the Music stops/pauses and the N1 switches the call into my BT headset. After the call is done, the music continues via the T505/car-stereo.
According to bluetooth specs (if i recall right) Bluetooth can handle 7 devices at once/parallel connected
Thanks for the reply...
I find the following app very good to quickly connect to multiple headsets/speakers
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sflab.bluetooth
ie. @ home i have a D200 creative speaker
instead of going into bluetooth settings.. just click the widget and its connected!
Cons: sometimes the widget does not respond.. but give it some time.
Updated Version of above:
One click - Connect 2 Specific Bluetooth device for A2DP and Phone app:
Bluetooth Pair
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gnssoftworks.bluetoothpair
found it very useful for swapping bluetooth headphones between devices WITHOUT turning off Bluetooth entirely or going into the settings menu.
Example Use Case:
I have one Stereo Bluetooth headset with mic (two profiles - phone and A2DP audio)
I have one Android Phone and one Android Tablet.
Phone Profile is always connected to the Android Phone, but the A2DP audio changes depending on which device you want to listen to music from.
Normally, if you want to listen to audio from the Tablet when your headset's A2DP profile is connected to the phone, you'd have to first go to the settings menu of the phone, and disconnect the A2DP, leaving Phone Profile connected. Then go to the settings menu on your tablet and connect the A2DP only.
Then you'd have to do the opposite if you want to listen to audio from the Phone again.
Takes a long time.
With Bluetooth Pair, you can specifically connect or disconnect to a specific device and specific profile (phone / a2dp) by widgets.
So you won't have to turn off the bluetooth completely on one device just to allow your headset to connect another device. Nor do you need to go into settings anymore.
1.) Just tap on the A2DP device specific widget on the phone to disconnect, the A2DP Profile from the phone
2.) go to the Tablet, and tap on the A2DP device specific widget to connect the A2DP profile of the headset to the Tablet
Two taps!
basically I have a smart tag and I instruct the phone to connect to the SBH20 bluetooth receiver in my car.
although I also instruct volume to go up to the highest level but since it's bluetooth there is an independent bluetooth volume which does not go up upon instruction.
any ideas or work around?
I can't help on this one, but I have a similar requirement for my Xperia Z1 compact.
Did you ever found a way to do this?
OK this is a bit convoluted so please bare with me:
I have a motorola T605 installed, but do not have it hooked up to my car stereo. I use a 3.5mm cable from my Note 3 to my car stereo, and the T605 just for phone calls, BUT I do use the controls on the T605 to skip tracks.
The problem I have is it works great, until I make or receive a phone call, then the Bluetooth AVRCP profiles cease to work, and the volume keys, which were being used to skip tracks before the call, now only adjust the phone volume, and the T605 itself blinks Blue (indicating phone profile connected) instead of flashing yellow (indicating phone and media profiles connected) as it was before the phone call.
Once it happens the only way to restore it is to shut off the bluetooth car kit (ie turn my car off). Powering the bluetooth on the phone off/on does nothing, as when it reconnects it still only have the phone functionality.
When I look at the setting>Bluetooth menu on the Note, both before and after a call, it always says that both Phone and Media profiles are active and connected.
For the record I am using X-Note ROM.
Any suggestion? Thanks in advance everyone.

Ok so the moto T605 is connected via bluetooth, and under bluetooth settings both phone and media are checked correct? BUT your sending the media via 3.5mm jack. I hope I read what you wrote right. If I did, I think you need to UNcheck the media box in bluetooth settings and just have phone connected. This way the music will play via 3.5mm until the phone rings. Then it will mute the 3.5mm and you'll hear the phone call over bluetooth connection. Also since the T605 is still connected via bluetooth it should still change your tracks.
Try that or tell me I read the whole post wrong and we'll try a different scenario. lol
I think you misunderstand. The audio is playing fine out of the 3.5mm jack. My goal is to keep the AVRCP connected so I can use hte button on the bluetooth car kit to control the audio player functionality of note 3 when not on a call.
Bluetooth issues - phone "hijacks" Spotify control, turns off call-audio on BT devic
BT seems is super annoying. Not sure if it started on the last update (9.1.0.153) or it was happening before as well.
I'm experiencing two issues related to BT:
1. during a call through BT headphones (Bose QC35), the BT profile changes automatically: call-audio is being toggled off, and the headset is no longer being used for the call. Turning it on during the call works for a few minutes and then it toggles off again. Tried to un-pair the device and pair it again.
Might be important to note, I also had a laptop connected to the headphones at the same time, but I definitely didn't have that issue with my previous phone (Xiaomi mi5s) in the same conditions.
2. when using Spotify on a laptop. if the app is also running on the phone, it randomly hijacks the control.
I think it happens only when the phone is connected via BT to a media device, doesn't matter if the laptop is connected to the same one or not. It happens to me in two situations:
a. using BT headphones connected to both the laptop and the phone.
b. when the phone is connected to BT speaker and the laptop is connected by wire to a different set (to an amp via DAC).
in the above scenarios two different laptops are used.
It's really annoying,
Any idea how I can solve this?
Thanks
p.s. device version is VOG-L29, don't know if it matters.
