Hi,
Here is an OC kernel for you to try. The max cpu frequency is overclocked to 2.35 Ghz instead of 2.15 Ghz. The stability is not well tested but i could play 20 minutes of Asphalt 8. Note that benchmarks does not seems to profit a lot from this overclock, i guess the thermal engine is always optimizing speeds no matter what. That's said i can say that for general use i can feel a little difference.
To be flashed via TWRP recovery (this is for 7" hdx, thor)
Changelog
=========
- v2 : actually include the oc kernel
Awesome! I'm gonna try it and report back
Awesome!
You should consider adding more CPU governors too.
I flashed it, but should I see the change in the tweaking apps? No Frills CPU Control and Trickster Mod still report 2.15.

Where are the CM CPU Settings? I looked under "About this Tablet" and other areas within the settings, but can't find anything that reports on the CPU speed. I do show this as the kernel, 3.4.0-perf-g625444.
My flashable zip must be broken :x

**PLEASE READ FIRST**
We made this android 2.2.1 kernel compatible with Nero v4 so you can simply flash the .zip right on top of it. However, additional files are included with this install to make this work correctly. Therefore, if you wish to return to Nero v4 with the stock kernel, you must flash Nero v4 again in order to revert. Because this kernel is based off i9000 source, battery drain will increase, there also might be other issues. This kernel is more or less for fun and for those who want to experiment. I'm posting this as a bonus, so please do not report bugs, ESPECIALLY in the Nero 4 thread.
**DISCLAIMER**
No two phones will overclock the same, even if they're identical. Often its several factors that allow some devices to overclock more so then others. Some devices will not accept an overclock at all. Please take the time to acknowledge the risks involved with overclocking your device. Overclocking does cause additional stress to your system and can potentially result in overheating, hardware failure, data loss, lock ups, boot loops, bricking, etc. Team Whiskey does not take any responsibility for damages or data loss casualties caused by overclocking.
DoW 1.4 Ghz 2.2.1 based:
- Android 2.2.1 i9000 kernel source
- 1.4Ghz
- Made for Nero v4
Notes:
- Could cause increased battery drain
- May require a reboot after flashing to obtain data connection
- Setcpu usage recommended for optimal settings

This one should be A LITTLE more solid, but will still come with poor battery life due to the i9000 source. Nonetheless, its blazing fast.

In TB - click the "backup/restore" tab, then on the right side, chosse "click to edit filters" then in the earch box type "web" and hit search. You should see a bookmarks web 2.2 come up. Click that, then restore data.
Hope this helps.

Is it because Dalingrin committed the change to allow the speaker to turn off when ALSA is not in use??
I know the sleep issue wasn't supposed to be fixed until the .32 kernel is out (not just a test version), but how can I check if .29 is going into deep sleep now?

You looking for the one that worked on ext3?
I went here: http://nook.handhelds.ru/dalingrin/kernels/040411/
update-CM7-dalingrin-OC-emmc-040411.zip works on CM7.0.2 stable for 1.1 OC
I then went here: http://nook.handhelds.ru/dalingrin/kernels/test_builds/
update-CM7-dalingrin-OC-emmc-042411.zip gave me boot to black screen with a cursor in top corner on CM7.0.2 stable
This cursor could be a fluke but I am really getting tired of waiting 20 min each time to restore my nandroid.
I have also tried Kernel Manager in the market and always get boot loops.
I am starting to think 1.3 OC is not worth anymore of my time.
EDIT: the ext2 and ext3 and ext4 stuff is confusing, I dont even know which CM7.0.2 stable is a 2/3/4?
They're all and always have been ext4. It's just the updater-script was manually set to something else.
Okay, flash latest nightly.
Download from dal's test directory the latest oc'd kernel.
Don't unzip it, but rather (I use 7-zip) open the file, then navigate to meta-inf>google>android>updater-script, then edit that in place. (there might be another directory between meta-inf and google, just find the updater-script).
Change where it says ext3 (or w/e it is) to ext 4. When you close that, it will ask if you want to update in the zip file, that file. Say yes, then flash that badboy!
I don't want the latest nightly anymore since usb is broke on them. I was trying to get 702 stable to run at 1.3 but every time I flash the 1.3 the system boots to a black.screen with a cursor in the corner.

Exact same problem for me too. For the time being I've settled for 1.1.
Not sure if you guys have noticed while playing with the kernels, but the nightlies are 2.3.4 and the stables are 2.3.3..... Only mentioning it, because in my reading I've seen a lot people who have been having problems switching between the 2 versions.....(myself included although my problem was related to my version of recovery 3.0.1 instead of the current).

Edit: just let it sleep for two hours with wifi on, and here's what cpuspy is reporting:

The Immortality series were good, but they are now dead. They were the kernels that taught me how to dev, now its time for an evolution. The 99Problemz series are all about performance, no lag, no freezes, just smoothness. This kernel included everything from Immortality-CM, but brings more features. And now to the disclaimer:
I (NOR TEAM WHISKEY NOR TEAM INFINITY) WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOUR PHONE BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER FLASHING THIS. PLEASE READ ALL NOTES AND WARNINGS, FOLLOW DIRECTIONS, MAKE A NANDROID, HAVE ODIN READY, AND FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Features:
Updated to work with stable CM7 and updated MIUI and OMFGB roms
Voodoo Sound v10
Voodoo Color
CWM Recovery v5.0.2.6
BLN supported (use BLN Control app to utilize)
Safely boots to 1ghz
OCable to 1.4ghz
User configurable UV
BFQv2 scheduler(set to default)
Smartass and Smartassv2 governor option available
GPU tweaks integrated
Integrated v(r) scheduler
Integrated zram and zache

1. BLN is fully supported, use BLN Control to use BLN
2. This kernel uses the same stock voltages as the stock CM7 kernel, and boots at 1ghz. Use SetCPU or Voltage Control to OC/UV as you see fit.

Love the smoothness on this kernel. Using the SmartAssV2 and my vibrant is running like a champ! Kudos to the Dev.

Apparently it won't even let me access Recovery as if it doesn't even exist. I don't want to have to Odin back to stock just to get everything working.
Anything you can suggest?
I'd check what rom you are trying to use with this Kernel. I believe the dev said it was compatible with CM7 and Miui. So i'm guessing your results may vary depending your rom.
Kernel for 2.3.4
Program for overclock SetCPU,CPU master
V1
Add overclock gpu 240Mhz(Does not work)
V2
Add overlock cpu 120-1300Mhz(stable)
V3
Off LG DVFS
Add swap init.d
V4
Source kernel 20Q
Add Smartass v2
Add SIO I/O Schedulers
Next version
Update EXT4
Overclock to 1370Mhz
Overclock GPU 220MHZ
Scheduler bfq
Installing a recovery
Nice! Waiting for that 1370mhz OC !
tested and working
1.3 GHz OC is stable. Confirmed for :
1. Supressed ROM series
2. PRADA ROM series and
3. SAPPHIRE ROM series.
good work. however, i cannot comment yet on battery consumption and heat.
gotta use it a bit more for these and any related instability.

I/O scheduler: sio
check the CPU SPY screen shot.
the cell mainly stays on the minimum scaling when not used, which is very essential for the battery.
overall, the performance is snappier than stock (obvious thing)

yes it has.
How's Smartreflex and MPU? You can check via dmesg. If something shows "hub_opp_init: MPU does not support XXXX MHz" then you have a problem. frequencies may show but there would be complications on voltages.
The slowness is via DVFS IMO. better use init.d, "scaling_max_freq" for OC.

have u tested them?
backing up rom now and ill try both with the unofficial cm10 and report back.
OK - tested the "V3" one so far, exactly the same as the "Unofficial CM10" kernel it seems, almost identical performance in benchmark - video recording not working, panorama glitchy but camera works fine - identical overclock settings and governors.
second one coming up now.
OK - second one doesnt boot. stuck on boot logo.
UPDATE - interesting, i switched the boot.img from the V3 kernel to the other one, and now it boots but wifi doesnt work.
ok got wifi working - gallery doesnt work with the second kernel, video and panorama same as other kernels. overclock and governors identical aswell.
overall - stick with the kernel youre on now.
(i only tested these with the Unofficial CM10 rom)
Is the first kernel working with cyanx vivo rom? Plz reply it's some one tried our

Yeah he tested them. If you bothered to read the op it says they both work amazingly good and oc at 15.8 ghz allowing you to microwave hot dogs to fully cooked in 3.4 seconds. Just make sure you flash a new radio and pull your battery out halfway through the installation or else it wont work!
