Hello,
When I want to make a call, I go to the phone App and am presented with the keyboard to place my call, the first tab is selected.
The second tab is the call log, and the other ones are for favorites and contacts.
Would there be a way to have the keyboard for placing a call show on top of the call log by default?
When I place a call, either I want to call someone I called recently, or I want to type in the number, but having to change the active tab for that feels like an unnecessary step.
Is this something that can be done?

is there a way to make the call history list show only the most recent call from a contact, instead of listing all of them?
Call history query
Hi,
Did you manage to resolve this issue? I find it annoying myself and would really like to if there is a solution to this.
If you disable the phone skin, you can get the calls and contacts list in the phone window (the way WM6 has). There you can tap on one entry and get to the list of previous calls from that contact.
XDA Friends,
I noticed when I place a call to a friend using the pocket pc WM OS pda all is fine. Now, when I hang up the phone, it returns to the phone keypad screen.
Seconds later, it reverts back to the last caller contact. I then have to exit out get back to the dialer screen.
Anyone come across this?
Pls advise!

Let me get this straight!
somebody calls you, or you call somebody. Hang up and it displays the dialer numpad. Then it goes back to the last caller(???), so to get back to the dialer, you have to close it and reopen it?
maybe screenshots can help (Not clear about reverting back to last caller contact. Does it display the last caller in contacts?)
Sorry about that, let me try to be clearer.
1. Select from contact list who I want to call.
2. Call connects, I see the phone screen, dialpad, contact picture etc.
3. Finish the call, returns back to the dialpad screen
4. After five seconds, WM switched to contact of last person I called.
I would it to remain on the dialpad screen then switching to the contact I just called. I have to then exit out of the contact that I just called.
Any ideas?

Oh thats normal!
when you recieve a call/ dial a call and ended the dialer screen will only be displayed for a few seconds. Then it will revert back to the last program opened, in your case contacts! Samething goes for Finger friendly friends, and basically other contact managers.
If you want to avoid this, you can assign contacts to HTCHOME, and/or WKTASK(program launcher) and it will just return to the today screen. Otherwise your gunna have to get used to closing the contact manager (endcall is a quick way to exit out)
thanx.. this has followed me from the last pocket pc which I thought this was a bug in the OS... yah, I know end call does the trick too. but it takes to main screen..
anyways, thank you!

Hi. Noob question, but i thought this would be the place to ask.
I'm using Inesoft address book as my contact manager, and it replaces the default history, too. However, whenever I finish a call, the default Diamond phone skin pops up and the default call history comes up, and I need to press "home" a few times til it disappears. The main reason for which I keep the default phone skin is the "vibrate when connected" function.
So, is there anyway to keep this default history pop up after every call? Or, maybe, a way to disable the phone skin, but at the same time somehow keep the "vibrate on connection" function? Thanks.
I am unable to call any contacts from the touch flo 3d contacts page.
Nothing happens when I tap on any of the phone numbers for a contact.
I can send a text or email from the contacts page.
If I tap on the more option I can make a call from the screen that then appears by pressing the left soft menu key.
Anyone know how to get the functionality back?
is adding a contact picture allow you to make a call?
if so this is a known issue for certain late rom.

Click to collapse
No adding a picture to the contact does not allow me to make a call.
Does not make any difference if the contact has a photo or not. Or if I try to dial from the favourites contact page or the all contacts page.
The rom is the standard htc one (v 3.43.25.19) that came with the phone only had the phone a week and a half.
Found out what was causing the problem.
Pocket Shield has an option to use the WM dialer when using the slide to answer functionality.
It claims that the slide to answer is more responsive when using the WM dialer and recommends using it.
Once I unticked this option the ability to dial from the contacts returned.
Hi,
I've found the software "call sms blocker". It had been made to block incoming unwanted calls and logged it... hide private sms...
I've attent to configure it but no way ! it does not stop anything that incoming !
Have you test it ? with success ???
yes. I use it and it works perfectly. It is an awesome program.
The way i have it setup is I have it set to accept all and then I make a custom list of numbers to reject. In this custom list I added all my phonebook contacts. Its kind of confusing but you have to remember that your phone only replies via sms to REJECTED calls/ and or sms. So yeah it sems weird to say reject contacts but this is what u need to do if you want your phone to send an automatic sms reply back to your contact.
So i did this for both calls and sms. I set both to ACCEPT under the "status" tab. then go into each tab "call" and "sms" and create new lists within each. Do this by tapping and holding in the window area and say ADD. Name it, make it REJECT, and make the action Hangup. Then go down to "List" (right soft key) and select number>add>phonebook. You can then check all the numbers from your phonebook that you want to add. Then also under "List" (right soft key) you can go into Advance Opt and set your custom message.
Repeat for the "sms" tab. Tap and hold in window area to make a new list. Name it, make it REJECT type, and I say "move to blocked" for action type. (this creates a new folder in your inbox of your messages so it makes it easy to find the sms that the program blocked. Add numbers from your phonebook same as I said above.
Now one thing to keep in mind. When I first started using this program I found that it only responded to my missed calls and not sms. What I discovered was that all the numbers for the sms list had to have a 1 in front of the number so that it looked like this 1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx. Whereas for my call list, the numbers in the list are like this (xxx) xxx-xxxx. For some reason I dont know why, this makes a difference.
So give it a try. I hope this helps you.
