You are reacting like you are updating your brain
There's nothing to be afraid, just read carefully all relevant and related threads and you'll be fine.
On the other hand, you can leave your device as it is and still use it!
I just don't understand why you spent money to buy something you are afraid to enhance (free of charge).
Cheers

Good, that's the latest official European EMUI 2.3 update. From there you can update to the latest EMUI 3.0.
As I said just read all related and relevant threads on P7 General forum and carefully implement the procedures.
Nothing can go wrong.
Cheers

I update successful no errors but i dont get update emui 3.0 why?

Download B602 beta ,put it as zip (update.zip) in dload folder and make a local update from the phone menu. After that do the same with B609 and in the end after last install do a factory reset. If the factory gives you an error don't panic it happens but you will have EMUI 3.0

Can wait to take ota update ? Or i will dont get bro ..
I want to wait some time maybe if i dont get ota i will wait to relase directly firmware to emui 3.0

Help - Ascend P7-L10 Locked Soft Bricked

Hi there,
recently, I tried updating my phone to B609, following a certain website's guide.
and upon finishing it, it showed the following attachment.
I have tried following almost all I can to revert it, but sadly, it does not work. and, it was a very stupid decision of me to try and update it, full-knowingly that I have a rather obsolete knowledge regarding this.
Can someone please help me, I am really sorry to have bothered the visitors of this forum, and if my thread is not in it's place, please guide me to find a proper place to help me with my phone.
Thank you

Please wait confirmation from more experienced users than me but what I would have done if I were you:
1 - Try to unlock the bootloader. For that there are tutorials here in XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/general/guide-unlock-bootloader-p7-l10-oem-t3062851
2 - With unlocked bootloader you should be able to flash a new rom!
Hope it helps!

Thanks for the reply friend. I really appreciate it.
Regarding the unlock bootloader, following the tutorial that you have greatly linked to, it says in one of the step it to select a device. But, I did not see any mention of Ascend P7, or for that matter, I'm not aware of another given name for Ascend P7, so, which one should I choose or any selected device would be fine?
Thank you again for taking time to help me. Much appreciated.

As it is said in the tutorial you should modify the values of the list in order to include our phone model (step 3 and following...).

Hi,
i guess you have to unlock your bootloader per dload again. You can force an local update by pressing power and volume plus/minus at the same time.
Is the bootloader unlocking local update based on emui2.3? If so, you'd had to downgrade to emui 2.3 (B1xx).
To do so: Flash the downgrade packages(B8xx) first, after that the full rom(B6xx) , then the next downgrade package(B6xx) and the next rom(B1xx).
Probably your phone will boot after the first full rom flash. If it does, you could get the numbers you need, and unlock per fastboot.

Yes, you could just put the update file into a folder named 'dload' in the root directory of your sd card.

You could try to boot to recovery pressing power and volume-. Does the battery charge then? I'd try myself, but my mum got my P7.. If it doesn't work you may try this script: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658084. And if that all fails you could purchase a new battery as your final option.
Please don't try to charge your phone externally. Handling with LiOn-batterys without knowing exactly what you do could be quite dangerous.

You need to use rollback package to go back to a previous version. You can find these on Huawei site or use huawei firmware finder by team MT and you are good to go.

Then that is a bit of a problem... Why don't you take it to customer service and ask them to downgrade to KK.
might or might not work...
there is no official roolback package , he should unlock then download 4.4 package and then install throw fastboot .

I think, that won't work. You can not force downgrade by using the 3 button method...
Im gona mention that its not possible to force rollback using the 3 button method as it gets stuck at 3 percent. About customer service, i live in kinda a hole and the nearest customer service is like 100 km away.

P9 Plus: Bad Flash, can't get around it

Hey everyone,
So I got a P9 Plus and I tried to force the Android 7.0 EMUI 5.0 update on it, it didn't work..probably because I made a mistake which I'm unaware of.
Problem is, I'm away from home and I don't have the Box with me with the bootloader code, which means I can't really do it again right?
I tried using DC unlocker 2 and DC Pheonix but both failed, when I got to the eRecovery menu and tried to update from there (I used a B103 build, pasted in a dload folder on the SDcard) it says can't install update or something like that, my build before everything was VIE-L09C900B181, can't seem to find a stock ROM for that build (I gotta mention I'm really new to all of this when it comes to phone stuff, I'm used to work with CMD and Linux but this is territory unknown for me lol). Any advice? What can I do? When I try to restore it or force a factory reset it also says "Reset failed" right away...I'm lost you guy....PLEASE HELP ME
First of all if u have a P9 Plus and search for firmware in the p9 forum you are in the wrong place.
Did u ever made an OTA? I think dload tries the internal storage first so maybe this is why your dload attempt did not work - try formatting internal storage with fastboot (dont know if u can)
Basically you just have to find the right firmware. Maybe you need to downgrade first.
But again you are in the "P9" forum so you are probably wrong since you are talking about an "P9 Plus".

My bad, guess I didn't do enough research to see that there was a P9 Plus section, sorry about that.
An OTA? Sorry like I said I'm pretty new to this, I had the build that ends with 181 and I tried using the 103 build but I always get errors, can't seem to find a 181 build online to download.
Thanks for the reply by the way

Try dc-phoenix but be careful with factory flash. avoid it if you don't have all partitions backed up.
I had to flash it with factory soft and now i stuck with unbricked phone but not being able to make phone calls

Huawei P9 (EE Network) EMUI 5.0 Update non existent?

Good evening all.....
I have already search for this amongst the forums but unfortunately I could not find anything so I am hoping you are able to help.
I currently own a Huawei P9 EVA-L09C440B138 with EMUI 4.1 - Android 6.0 Installed, locked to EE-UK. My partner has the same mobile but with a different network and she received the update to EMUI 5.0, Android 7.0, MONTHS ago. You may or may not have heard, all EE customers with Huawei P9's seem to be suffering from the same problem, and whenever we approach EE we get the same bull**** response "when the update is ready you will be notified", no timescale, nothing.
So my question is, is there a way I can bypass the standard update procedure as I fear I will never get that update, or am I going to have to be patient and wait until further notice.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks guys

Thank you very much for this it looks relatively simple to do but would you be able to advise me if I need any preliminary software or if I need to do anything prior to installing this update. Is there a plan B in case there is potential for my phone to be bricked. If I were to in future self this device to a shop would they be able to tell that this was not a genuine update directly from Huawei?

Nothing extra needed.
There's always a plan B, there's several threads on her for recovering a bricked P9.
If you don't tell them, they'll probably never notice.

you'll have to keep waiting.. u can try using firmware finder, it doesnt use root, research about it.
but i've read from many users, even if it downloads the updated firmware, it wont install and will just occupy ur storage space
learn where to find the folder and delete the downloaded package, just in case if u try it...

The website that you get your unlock code from is no longer working. There are some people that got their code from huawei via e-mail but I don't know how they did it. Can't help you with that either sorry
I contacted them via their contact form asking for an unlock code to unlock my FRP.
You need to tell them your
- Model number
- IMEI1
- IMEI2
- Serial number
- Product ID
Response was very fast but they double checked if I really want to do this and told me about lost warranty and so on which stalled the process a bit.
To get your Bootloader unlocked you can tweet Huawei UK on Twitter and they'll reply to you.
Just mention them in a tweet saying that you need your unlock code after that they'll follow you back and DM you then you give them your information.
It took about 3 days to get mine.
