Hello everyone
After swapping my note 3 with note 4, I was amazed with the snappiness of the Note 4 during general tasks and battery life. However, things aren't that smooth while gaming.. it seems as if after 10 mins of gameplay, graphics stutter and the game starts to lag, even in less graphic intensive games.. is it the same with everyone? What about the Exynos variants? Overall, I would rank the note 4 a solid 8.5/10, deducting 1.5 due to poor graphical performance..

hi,
Next time you are gaming etc. etc and experience symptoms( as described by you above) check your battery temperature. It could be some sort of "throttling" I have seen quite a few post in forum referring to similar. Read up about Samsung DVFS throttling" when devices gets warm. resulting in games stuttering, lagging etc. etc
good luck
The Exynos performs better while gaming.
I play:
Asphalt Overdrive
Beach Buggy Racing and Blitz
As well as Pinball Pro
Haven't noticed any slowdown or issue with graphics, then again I play for 30mins at most, most times I do a quick 10-15min session and I'm bored.
I played The Room 2 for like 1h+ and while in game pulling down the notification bar lagged as hell...my battery temperature was around 38 while gaming.I have the snapdragon model.
Rayman Fiesta Run makes my Exynos hot and noticable slow down performance. Funny that Nexus 7 2012 runs this game as much as I want without any performance dropdown.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.rayman.fiestarun
Didn't noticed the same reaction on Riptide GP 2 though.
Snapdragon here, nothing, everything is smooth and fast, i already have 14 hours of gameplay time with Galaxy on FIRE2 HD which is pretty intense, also try Stranger, its the most intense graphical game, and everything on highest the note 4 has lower fps, even then after longer playing everything is okey.
I can second this. Rayman Fiesta starts to lag after a while...very disappointing. SnapDragon model here.
i have exynos and every thing is smooth
I have Canadian SM-N910W8 with SD805 it runs games fast even with power savings on.
It's not hard to understand, snapdragon 800+1080p > snapdragon 805+2k for gaming performance (and almost everything).
I have Note 3 snap800 and Note 4 snap 805... and I can honestly say that note 3 is way better for gaming.
Check some gaming YouTube video, this also happens between Nexus 6 and 5.
That's quite sad because Samsung could have made the Best device ever if It choosed a laser autofocus instead of the UV/HRsensor, and sticked with 1080p+ snap 805 combo... really It's like if our SOC have to push TWO 1080p phones (no kidding... 2k have double pixels).
PPL think that the improved visual quality is given by the improved resolution... that's 100% wrong.... The details are the same (and I see amazingly well at very close distances), the true benefits are given by the damn good color accuracy.
BTW note 3 with leaked Lollipop is waaaaay faster in everything than Note4...
If lollipop doesn't make note 4 way faster I'm going to sell this piece of marketing victim and stick with the Note 3.
i using note 3 snap with lollipop and note 4 H with exynos
note gaming performance very very better !
i dont know what note 4 snap on gaming and fps on heavy game !
but exynos version note 4 is better on gaming and power on 2k resolution
im happy for this buying !
note 3 just snap
note 4 just exynos
sometimes its not about the phone, but lazy developers..
as we know rayman is developed by ubisoft and everyone in gaming world knows how terrible that company is

To the people talking about Rayman Fiesta, on my Exynos Note 4 it goes into slow motion if under 60fps, and I'm not talking about skipping frames, I'm talking about slow motion, when it gets close to 40 fps the game is very sloooow. I had to run it in 720p to keep it at 60fps all the time so it wouldn't slow down.
What I mean by this is, at least for me, the game runs very well even on 1440p, always above 30fps but goes into slow motion instead of skipping frames because the devs are stupid. This also happens to me with Sky Force.
So there are no known permanent solution for the lag and stuttering SD805 aka Note4? Or even a achievement in performance without rooting and devoting our life to adjust and testing?

Get Samsung's gaming app, Game Tuner, no root required, it will allow you to adjust the resolution, FPS and Brightness of all your games.
My N910F has been running Need For Speed No Limits, Asphalt 8 and GT Racing 2 without a hiccup.

Thought it might be useful for us mobile gamers to post the sort of performance we get on the Nexus 4. Might even make a few of you eager beavers even more excited about getting a Nexus 4 if you haven't already.
Don't know the difference between 30fps and 60fps? Lucky.. try and keep it that way if you can help it.
In short - 60fps is the most ideal framerate; the most lacking in "lag". 30fps is also an ideal framerate, but it isn't as smooth as the former (alot of people don't notice the difference). Most console games run at 30fps, for reference.
So far, the Nexus 4 is capable of playing ALL Android games smoothly, with exception to those that are (temporarily) incompatible with 4.2
Frustrated with the heat & throttling the phone endures when playing some big games?
Try Matr1x Kernel to minimise heat with a small undervolt, and get more performance from a GPU overclock
After some testing, here's a little idea of how some games run on the device. I also briefly tested a few with different processor speeds too so I'll note down my findings there too.
*if you haven't played with your CPU frequencies then don't worry about my babbling about CPU speeds - the game will run fine if stated so and won't change if you haven't messed about with processor power saving*

3D games:
--
Max Payne Mobile - 60fps:
Seems to be a trusty 60fps on highest settings; brilliant graphics for a phone. I don't recall it ever slowing in performance at all on Roscoe Street station (first level after the prelude) or the tutorial level. Runs and looks much better than GTA3.
Minecraft Pocket Edition - 60fps:
60fps solid on Fancy graphics; doesn't seem to heat up the phone too much either which implies it isn't too demanding and thus should stretch the battery a bit longer. I could be wrong in that assumption, though.
Grand Theft Auto 3 - 25-30fps:
Somewhat disappointing performance. Runs acceptably smooth on default graphics settings (medium everything) at around 30fps, though with some drops in framerate. Also heats up the phone considerably, so expect throttling after 10 minutes. On highest possible graphics settings it stutters quite alot; I'd estimate it hovers around 15-25fps but it's really not pleasant.
Bus Parking 3D - 60fps:
Smooth as can be.
Temple Run - 60fps:
Yep, smooth and responsive as can be again. Still playable down to around CPU @584mhz, but will introduce a bit of stuttering ofc.
GnarBike Trials (free and pro) - 60fps:
Solid 60fps, but will still hiccup a tiny bit when a large number of explosion barrels are set off. You can disable these in the options if it really bothers you.
X-Plane - 60fps:
You guessed it - completely flawless performance again.
Dead Trigger - 30fps:
Capped at a solid 30fps if I remember right. Never drops below this on max settings; completely smooth.
Contract Killer 2 - 50-60fps:
Seemed more than playable. Didn't have it installed for long though so that's all I can say; around 50-60fps if memory serves me right.
Survivalcraft Demo - 50-60fps:
Was a little bit stuttery on highest settings, but only when walking around. This was probably just because the map was still generating around me as I explored, so should be nothing to worry about.
Asphalt 7: Heat - 30fps:
Slight stutter in cutscenes at the start of each race, but it looks like this game is capped at 30fps (difficult to be sure but it seems that way by my judgement). Stays completely smooth at that framerate throughout the game though.
Riptide: GP - 60fps:
Solid 60fps, very smooth and very pleasing graphics.
Chaos Rings - 30fps
d u o XIV: "I just checked Chaos Rings on my N4 right now. Works like a charm. Just to be clear, I started up the game, danced around the menus for a bit, ran around as the main character, and fought in one battle. It all worked flawlessly, and it all seemed to work at 30FPS."
Final Fantasy III - 60 fps
credit: dcarpenter85
Chrono Trigger - smooth as butter
credit: dcarpenter85
Theme Park - 60fps
Trial Xtreme 2 - 60fps
Need for Speed Most Wanted - smooth:
Need to test again, the consensus is that it does run smoothly.
--
2D (pretty much all run flawlessly):
--
Gameboid Emulator - 60fps:
Runs Pokemon Emerald and Fire Red as if you were playing it on a real GBA. No frame skipping whatsoever at a lovely 60fps.
GBCoid Emulator - 30fps?:
Runs games as they were intended. Not sure if the older Gameboy games ran at 60fps, it looks more like 30fps. Still, that's how it's meant to perform so no problems here.
Hill Climb Racing - 60fps:
Completely smooth at all times. No change in performance whatsoever, even on lowest 384mhz power saver CPU setting.
Osmos HD - 60fps:
Great looking 2D game and runs at a solid 60fps. No problems with lag here as you'd expect.
Doodle Jump - 60fps:
Smooth as butter. Clocking the CPU below 584mhz will cause a little stutter every now and then but still playable.
Bad Piggies HD - 60fps:
I noticed an occasional stutter here and there but it's nothing to lose hair about, it seemed to only happen at the start or end of each level. Otherwise, completely smooth.
Cut The Rope - 60fps
Angry Birds - 60fps
ChuChu Rocket - 60fps
[I think it'd be a challenge to find a 2D game that does lag on this phone to be honest, so i'll leave it at that]
##
If you guys have any requests for games to test then I'd be happy to give it a go for you, provided I can acquire them. Feel free to share your experiences with any games here as well.

Can You try Wild Blood and NFS Most Wanted?
What about need for speed most wanted?
I tried playing Max Payne, my phone got hot as hell.
Does your phone gets hot too when you play?
I heard and read that the specs of Nexus 4 can handle xbox 360 level gameplay/graphics. I wonder when hardware will be utilized to max i cant wait to shift from xbox to just mobile. Because the CD-ROM system is hell frustrating.
Can you anybody test if Horn works?
How abt asphalt 7 heat? It is extremely laggy on Gnexus..
Unfortunately, Need for Speed: Most Wanted didn't work right. The graphics were glitched up and everything looked black (atleast, when I tested it), so this game may need an update to be playable on the Nexus 4. Whether or not this has been fixed yet needs to be clarified by current owners of the game since I *only just* managed to get a refund in 15 minutes after trying it a few days ago.
I'm downloading all 1.5gb's of Asphalt 7: Heat at the moment so I'll post up when I've finished downloading and testing it in an hour or two. As for Wild Blood and Horn, I'll try them some other time since they're pretty expensive for something I probably won't play.
@AntonJart: Yeah, my phone gets very hot in some games. The phone throttles itself when it gets to around 38C I think, so it shouldn't be anything to worry about. However, you can use CPU apps to underclock the processor and reduce the amount of heat being generated, sometimes with no loss in performance. But that's effort.

Horn does not work with the Nexus 4 I tried installing it and play on got when I first received the phone
In that case I'll redownload Most Wanted at some point and try it again.

Slight stutter in cutscenes at the start of each race, but it looks like this game is capped at 30fps (difficult to be sure but it seems that way by my judgement). Stays completely smooth at that framerate throughout the game though.

Then you never owned a one X, early software builds made the phone temp actually too hot to even touch.
But still, it only overheated twice and when running go benchmark constantly.
Later, they fixed the heat dramatically.
But the word 'overheating' is one that gets used incorrectly too much, it probably isnt, its just hot.

Really
even LG OG have same problem : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1995107
One potential issue for long-term use revolves around overheating. I thought it may one specific model, but both units tested had significant drops in benchmark performance after extended use and, more importantly, after getting extremely hot. I cooled the phones down and retested, and after a brief warm-up period they were back to benchmark-breaking numbers. It’s unclear as of yet whether that means thermal throttling is in place or if the phone just cannot dissipate heat well enough for the new CPU and GPU, but one thing is certain: performance drops significantly, from way over competition from phones like the HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy S III, to just under them both.

Hi im thinking of buying a nice phone for playing games is xperia t right thing. How are games like modern combat 4 , nfs most wanted, spiderman, dark knight rises running on this device . Plz give a quick response
Out of the box, it works OK until it gets hot. There have been numerous threads about thermal throttling kicking in after a while and killing performance - do a search rather than creating an 'urgent' new thread next time.
Having said that, if you are prepared to root then this thread may keep your performance up:

This phone gets HOT when playing games? i thought its 28nm cpu will stay cool. Should i buy xperia T or should i buy htc one XL for gaming
by the way i researched alot and could not find a similar threat.
Most new phones have some sort of heat issue and thermal throttling. I would recommend trying the games on the handsets to see exactly what you feel about it.
Sent from my Xperia T using Tapatalk 2
I am running now at 192 - 1458MHz, both cores always on, when the heat is going over about 65°C, CPU is throttled to 1188MHz (and less), still with both cores on. When I am gaming a little longer, CPU temperature is going up to 75°C and battery temperature does not exceed 50°C while connected to wall charger.
All games I know are running smoothly this way.
These temperatures should be fine. If anything goes wrong with these temperatures, then it's a bad device.
Thing that is low on T, is RAM. I would recommend something with 2GB. I believe there will be games with 2GB requirement soon. And T has only 640MB available RAM for applications. And system is using about 300 - 400MB. The rest of RAM is low even for browser and low for future gaming, at least now in ICS.
And internal memory chip has not very good performance. For example SenseMe Slideshow (plastic frames) never makes smooth slideshow. Opening phone or SMS app takes almost 2 seconds. Opening NFS Most Wanted takes about 15 seconds (and this procedure kills all opened apps, very nice. Etc.
I am not telling it's a bad device, I like it (except wifi, that one drives me mad. But I recommend something else for heavy gaming.

Out of curiosity, ¿what rom/kernel combo are you using?. I'm interested in undervolting and underclocking my device.
I used Siyah kernel while I was on Timin8r's stock rom, but now I'm running AOKP and I don't know any current kernel compatible with that.
Siah kernel, but works on stock kernel too (except 192MHz). Values are changed manually.

Gameloft have started adding graphics setting to their games which is a good move, so I imagine MC5 will have them. Dunno about dead trigger 2 but they normally optimize their games well. I have a lot of games, they all work fine after reducing the thermal throttling. Only problems you might face is games being unavailable such as a few flu titles, but device spoofing takes care of that. My phone sometimes shuts down from online gaming because the battery can't take the stress, but as long as the throttle allows 12420000 or lower it rarely happens unless battery is low. Plus a friend is trying to make a fix for it, by putting out a voltage based on averages, rather than having a voltage that is too high then it dropping too low under pressure . Also its the same chip as USA version of GS3

As the title says....I wasn't trying to overload the phone, but while playing TD5 I actually got it to lag. Normally, the game doesn't use much battery, but anyone familiar with the game after level 80 or so it gets pretty intense. I put the game on fast forward mode too and it got pretty laggy. Would be pretty interesting to use this game as a benchmark. Here's a screenshot: http://imgur.com/b2qrQpn
It might be hard to tell, but there was A LOT of frame droppings. Which doesn't really surprise me. Anyway, just thought I would share.

Yeah, Asphalt 8 runs for me with no problem either. I agree with the optimization. I'm going to try to get to this point on my Nexus 7 2013. Although the specs on that are lower.
Ive gotten the nexus 5 to lag substantially while playing FIFA 14, both on Stock and with a Custom ROM and trinity kernel.
The lag was less on the custom ROM and trinity kernel then it was on stock...
why do u guys think there is a lag on the nexus 5, ive played fifa so many times on the iphone 5 and never had a single stutter from it.
Edit: BTW the game becomes really choppy when there is rain in the game, you pretty much cant play the game it gets that bad.
It lags a ton as well on the later levels in survivor mode on PvZ2. Anything after level 10 or so and the amount of zombies kills the fps. The phone also gets uncomfortably hot.

Lately Apple has gone downhill. I've got myself the latest iPad mini which uses the same A7 processor found in the iPad Air.
There is lag and plenty of it. I've tried Dead Trigger 2 and Bastion and both of the them suffer from lag and the odd stutter every now and then.
And what's even more funny is now theres plenty of fragmentation on iOS. Read the reviews on some of the graphic intensive games. Bugs and crashes galore on some of the slightly older hardware. Plus on the description you will have big captions like " DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE THE...." And " DOES NOT WORK ON THE..."
Apple is no longer the benchmark when it comes to games now.

I kinda agree with your post about apple going downhill. But it still is the benchmark device to beat, its wobbling but hasnt been dethroned just yet. Ios7 is buggy and all the apps have not been optimized for it yet. Same can be said about optimization on KitKat.
The games that iPhone can play with minimum to no stutter are not even playable or are not even available for android.
Fragmentation wise, iPhone has gotten a bit fragmented but you also have to realize the os and the new games are very graphic intensive. Older hardware can not possibly run them properly such as games for ps4 won't ever run on the ps1 or even the ps2, we can't expect current games and os to run on devices older then 2 years. People give android a bad name for fragmentation but it really isn't that bad when u take into account the requirements for the latest software. I do not expect the same software to run perfectly on my nexus 5 and galaxy nexus. True a two year old device is not that old but in technological terms 2 years is more then a decade.
I love android and iOS the same, each has its advantages and disadvantages. My personal device is iOS and work is android, each serves its purpose perfectly.
My only qualm with android is as follows: a device such as the nexus 5 with almost twice the processing power as an iPhone 5, double the number of cores, and twice the memory still can't keep up with the iPhone.
Thats like having a ferrari but still not being able to keep up with a bmw or in this case it would more be like android is a tuned import with all the latest and greatest updates but still cant come close to a stock luxury exotic ( i know the price difference between the two this is just an example). Google and android oems need to work on making android work faster and more fluid on lower specs then just putting in the most ram and the fastest processor, what's the point of having those if it still gets beat by a device with half its specs. if apple introduces a 2.3Ghz quad core phone with 2gb of ram that would be game over.

I have to disagree with the iPhone being the phone to beat.... Samsung has beaten apple and LG with the nexus 5 and G2 put out two amazing devices that are beyond apples latest and greatest. I am sorry but the iPhone 5s and other iPhones and including the iPads have some pretty noticeable lag and stutters. As for android the improvement has been amazingly awesome android used to be the extremely laggy and stuttered for everything. Now it's pretty much ios fluid. I just switched from the iPhone 5s to the note 3 after a test run to see if I would like ios again and ios7 stutters a lot. To me the note 3 feels more fluid and yes touchwiz is very heavy and hard to run
The lag is a software limitation, not at all hardware related.
Well my experience with bloons TD5 is quite good on N5. I get to about lvl 100 after that it starts to lag a bit more and more with following levels. But in my opinion this is game itself. My friend with galaxy S3 gets to lvl 115-120 before becomes almost unplayable, other folks with N4 gets to 120-125 lvl before it gets unplayable. I get to about lvl 130 before it gets the same as S3 or N4 performance (0.5-2 FPS)
All in all it's bloons TD5 fault, not hardware, game engine itself is at fault.

this is EA we're talking about. EA doesn't care about "user experience" only "will it sell" and "is it 90% functional"

90%? lol I think you're overestimating EA...I'm pretty sure they're satisfied with 60%, judging by every EA produced or sponsored game I've played in the past 5 years. It's a horrible company that needs to be shut down.

I know Samsung and LG have introduced amazing devices but thats still on paper. I'm not comparing them based on reviews or watching videos online, I own both the nexus 5 and the iphone 5s. Android has gotten a lot better from its laggy days and is one hell of a responsive OS with functionality to boot. That being said I can still see the nexus 5 lag and havent been able to make the iphone 5s lag at all, i have had a few apps just crash on me randomly but thats about it.
Everything on the iphone is more fluid then on android. Most of it has to do with apps installed, most developers dont really put in as much time into android as they do on IOS. The specs on the new android devices are amazing running quad core cpus with 2 gb of RAM but in the end what use is all that power when the phone still lags. For instance just a few minutes ago i got a call on the nexus and when the call ended the phone just got stuck on the call screen unresponsive for 30-40 seconds.
If we compare just the hardware then there really is no competition for current android phones, apple has not put out anything with those kinda specs. But if we want to see which OS runs better shouldnt it be on the same kind of hardware. The iphone 5 runs a Dual-Core processor and for me it handles iOS7 perfectly without a lag, i would like to see how a galaxy s2 with a Dual-Core processor would handle kitkat. That would be comparing similar hardware on the latest OS's by each company.
I know you would say why not the s3 and the s4, because they run on quad-core processors. I know this kinda got winded but what im trying to say is that an iphone 5 with half the specs of a current android device performs on par and at times better then those devices then how would android fare if iphone gets a quad-core processor, there is a lot to be said about each OS's optimization based on just the specs.

I have see a Note 4 running GTA on YouTube,, and it was lagging badly..
Yes gpu delivers lower performance than iphone 6 but its not poor .both gpus have same power but 2k lowers note 4 performance but its still more powerful than ipad air which has lower res.
And the video u saw on youtube is quallcom version of note 4 and adreno gpu s always lagged on gta games on high setting due to lack of optimzation.

So because it doesn't do well in one benchmark the GPU is somehow worthless? :silly: According to apple insider apparently the Geforce GTX 660TI is faster than an AMD 290X. That's some quality reporting right there.
Well I'm no expert but look up GTA Note 4 on YouTube, looks terribly laggy.
I'm hoping to get a Note 4 - but not if it can't perform..
Outside of that being Apple dedicated website, running just one benchmark and writing nonsense (they start writing about Note 4, then post preliminary??? cost analysis of GS 4???? from 1.5 yr ago, WTF) I'm not sure if it's propaganda or somebody overdose on something or maybe forgot his medication
I think both.
Not optimized. Performance WILL be fine on other games. Don't worry.

It's not lag. The camera just has a really low fps. Look at his other videos and even his hand moving looks like it "lags". It's just the camera don't worry.
You will be able to play most games, just not at the maximum settings, these tests are much more intensive than the mobile games, to the people talking about the screen resolution, there is also an offscreen test which doesn't care about the resolution and the scores are still lower.

offscreen tests care about res just not screen res. all offscreen tests done in 1080p and a8 gpu and note 4 gets around 17 fps on offscreen tests. and both higher than my ipad air and i can play everything at full without a stutter i dont think there will be any problem.
Oh no.. a poorly optimized game isn't as fast as it is on an iPhone. Oh jeez it MUST perform awful.. right?

Oh, cmon guys, little reality check: Note 4 is one of, if not the fastest phone on the market ATM. If it can not play the games properly, nothing else can. In most benchmarks Exynos is as fast or faster than Snapdragon. There is something about this particular benchmark that makes Exynos run poorly, that's why it was picked for this article. And how come no Note4 Snapdragon version? Maybe because Snapdragon doesn't have the issue? The most opinionated bunch of crap I read in a long while.
For those of you that already have your handsets, how has your experience been with the performance of 3D games and more intensive emulators? Have there been any games that have shown noticeable choppiness or sluggishness?
Edit: I read in another thread that Real Racing is giving Snapdragon owners problems. Also - I'm a bit curious as to how PPSSPP is treating people.
I have no issues running epsxe with open gl and all setting at maximum. Playing ff9 atm. Emulators shouldn't be an issue.
I just play Asphalt 8 on my Note 4 Exynos and it gets around 60fps at max settings.
I try few 3D games in my Exynos N910C include Real Racing 3 and Death Trigger 2. So far so great. No issue.

Could you post gamebench prints of the performance on some games?
Another gamebench video (exynos)
My device is finally here and it performs great (Exynos - C version)! But it gets warm (just warm no hot) fast and the throttle is very strong!! My Antutu after playing minion rush for 10 minutes was 35k and after a lot of gaming my GFX T-rex on-screen was 8 and off screen was 16. With the phone unused I got 25 and 37 fps for each of them. It is hot here (28C = 82F) but this throttle is too powerful! I'd rather have the phone getting hotter with better performance. Don't know if that would be possible.
The Galaxy Note 4 has a terrible 3d performance, i imagine it is because it is rendering at 1440, my HTC One M7 did far better at 1080. A few games that are jittery messes are anything GTA and also Gangstar, not impressed at all. Perhaps somebody will hack it so that it renders at a lower resolution, because really the snapdragon 805 is not up to intense 3d games at native resolution.
I have better gaming experience in Asphalt 8 with the Note 4 Exynos+1440p than with my Note 3 Qualcomm+1080p.

Yes same for me too. I really impressed with exynos gaming performance asphalt 8 is just 60 fps all the time it was like 30 or something on my quallcom note 3

Yeah, It surprised me. I would like to see some Gamebench of a Qualcomm Note 4.

I'm using NOMone Resolution Changer to set display to 1080p to play games. When you change the resolution everything looks wrong (big icons and etc) but the games are actually perfect but less pixels to push so better performance. If you are rooted and mind gaming performance, this is a must have.
Just curious - since this is the one thing that might make me change my mind about not rooting my phone - Does NOMone Resolution Changer know to automatically change the resolution only when a game is specifically opened? Or do you need to change the resolution first - and then start the game?
For the guy saying that GTA is stuttery.. its nothing to do with the resolution. Its all to do with heat and the Samsung DVFS voltage and frequency control.
With DVFS enabled after a few mins of GTA it slows down a little bit and starts to get stuttery because it throttles too easy and underclocks the CPU and GPU by about half.
If your rooted and disable DVFS you get the full GPU and CPU speed in games like GTA vice city and its extremely fluid.

Second option unfortunately. If you find an application that does that, please tell me. I didn't look for it though as NOMone is working great and I'm a bit afraid of messing with the resolution too much.
Just got myself an exynos note 4. Very nice phone but aside from a little touchwiz stutter, games such as real racing 3 and clash of clans stutter. My nexus 4 ran them fine. Did a quick antutu benchmark to see whats up and this is what i got without flight mode on. What do you think? Benchmarks say my phone should handle them with ease but thats not the case. Anyone with a solution?

Mine can just run them fine. Try a factory reset.

Probably some rogue app you got running. Reset like he said or restart. No stutter on this old games so no fix required. Emulators have been good tho getting over 30fps in a few n64 games mupen64 that have tried, dolphin still not the best speed. DraStic was made for the note line. Runs awesome with each game I have.
Has to be coc related. I read a few reviews on the play store from note 4 users who have seen this as well. Much more demanding games are running great so ill just wait on an update.
