I have a Verizon LG G2. It was rooted with stump root. I mistakenly did an OTA update recently. Now i am getting the LG logo then fastboot mode started. I did NOT install any custom recovery. I have tried to get into download mode with Volume up and plugging in USB and it goes back to fastboot mode. Ive also brought up the hard reset screen and proceeded to erase all user data and it goes back to fastboot mode. Im using a Dell 64 bit with Windows 8.1. It will not recognise my phone at all. Ive spent 3 days on every site i could find. Ive downloaded every LG Driver + erase all drivers on the Computer. Im not to savy with files and promts etc. I just recently downloaded a UniversalAdbDriverSetup.msi. Nothing either. Please help

As title states my phone is stuck in boot loop after last night when I tired to flash Venom ROM. I had been running Trickdroid ROM for over a year and decided to update the ROM last night but the installation was continuing to fail and I decided that I would tackle it again in the morning.
When I turned the phone on this morning, I attempted to boot into recovery - however the phone just decided to continue a boot loop sequence to which I am now stuck in.
I have read a number of threads and the best way to end this seems to be to erase the cache from fastboot. Due to being on Windows 8 now I reinstalled the sdk files needed and attempted to connect to the phone. However; Windows 8 is now seeing the phone properly and, when attempting to install the drivers, is coming up with a message saying "Device Failed Enumerication". I have attempted to install the drivers manually, as well as Win7 64 drivers, but it's not accepting them and therefor I cannot connect to my phone via the PC.
I pulled out my Windows 7 Disk to install this to the PC but, due to having a bluetooth keyboard; and no wired in sight, I cannot hit a key to enter setup - just to top off a great morning!
If anyone could help me get past this and back into clockwork I would be extremely happy.
From the bootloader menu the phone states that it's unlocked, using the original usb cable as well as a usb 2.0
Cheers.
Fastboot erase cache is really what you need to do. A lot of ppl have issues with Windows 8 and there are guides for it. If you still have problems go visit a friend who has Windows 7

OK thanks for the reply, going up to the shop just now to buy a cheap usb keyboard.
Ive been trying the TOT and KDZ methods without any success. When I only had fastboot I flashed xdabebbs laf.img and I had download mode back, however when im in download mode, my device manager does not recognize the phone. (Does not say "ANDROIDNET COM41" etc) its just blank. Am i just suppose to install the verizon-specific drivers? I have a feeling that is why the LGFlashtool is not working on my phone.
When i turn on my phone it just stays on the LG logo, but when its on the LG logo the phone shows up in device manager under ports.
im so confused and frustrated now! Can anyone help me out please!

Their are VZW specific drivers for the VS980, I think there is a link to them in the ioroot25 thread, otherwise google should turn them up.
i followed this Guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448960) numerous times but it seems like im missing something.
am i suppose to download the LG universal drivers also? and the verizon LG drivers?
Rooted LG D405n, nothing done to the software beyond that (unless you count having zooper/nova launcher configured on it). Gave the phone to a friend for a short while and she decided to update the software using the LG software update on the phone. After she selected install on the latest update which came out not long ago and was supposedly going to update the apps, it restarted and got stuck on boot screen with Boot Ceritification Error [560].
I've tried this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/general/guide-flash-stock-kdz-offline-lg-l90-t2803479 but I got stuck on step 4. because I cannot make the PC recognize the device (it does not show up at all), so the LG tool can't install USB drivers. If i try to do it manually (it gives me an option to select a device from a list) it doesn't seem to do anything, just gets stuck on the Downloading USB driver window.
I can put the phone in Firmware Upgrade Mode just fine, but it doesn't seem to do anything useful. The PC still won't recognize the device, however I can hear the 'usb pluged in' sound (I'm on Win7).
Did a factory reset, didn't help.

You could try the LG Support Tool. Not sure it will work but it's worth a shot. The problem with the phone not getting detected by the PC is the fact that 1) The OS was upgraded by your friend and 2) The factory reset you performed . Both of those acts would have disabled USB debugging hence no device detected.
I unfortunately have no encouraging information to give you.

It appears that I have fixed it.
Since The tool would not download the USB drivers by itself I went to the LG website and got them manually, installed them and restarted the PC.
After that I launched the LG Mobile Support Tool, but it still didn't see the device.
However, I clicked Options and Upgrade Recovery. It asked me for my IMEI. I put the phone into Firmware Upgrade mode and the program started upgrading the phone.
After it was all done, the phone restarted, and the software update simply said that instalation failed, I have lost root but everything else seems fine. Rooted again with towelroot and I'm back in game.

Well I'm glad you managed to fix it.

Hello, I have a Verizon LG G2 that is stuck in download mode. I was trying to unroot my phone using this method:
theunlockr(dot)com/2013/10/31/unroot-lg-g2-verizon/
Then, at step 12, where it was flashing the stock image, it stopped and got stuck.
I have tried using the LG Mobile Support Tool to restore my phone, but the process gets stuck on 10% and gives me an error. I have tried to install the drivers, but adb never recognizes my phone. I have a second LG G2 that adb did recognize, but it doesn't recognize the one in download mode. I am unable to access recovery via adb or button combinations. Every time i turn the phone off it goes straight back into download mode only when it's plugged in, otherwise it goes black and the only thing it does is vibrate when I hold down the power button. I don't know what else to try, what should I do?
Thanks.
Edit: the LG Mobile Support Tool recognizes my device as "LGVS980" and the Software Version as "VS98024A."
I attempted to get twrp via autorec awhile back and had issues. I thought all was reverted but when this 27a update came out it bricked my lg g2. It boots to the LG screen then nothing. I can hold down power and volume down and get to factory reset but does nothing when it is accepted. Windows 7 PC does not recognized the phone as being plugged into USB. I can not get into download mode. Am I screwed?
Exact same issue

Mine did the same thing about a week ago. I downloaded the LG download recovery mode files and transferred them with a Linux computer to sdcard of phone. Then when I tried download mode it showed up on my Windows 8 computer running LG support program and return the phone to full stock. Then just root again with stump
