I have the same problem on my Nexus 7 (2012) with the latest version of CM12 nightly (01/18/2015). I'm unable to use Swiftkey and have FC with settings.

Yay, okay thank you very much

Speaking of bugs, I am having trouble sending or receiving MMS using the CM12 nightlies messaging app. I had to switch to Textra and that works. I can't figure out why and neither could AT&T. Any ideas?

Oh sorry I should've explained better. That is the fix, but unless you build your own, there's not much to do but just wait for that to get merged. Once it does get merged it'll be fixed in the next nightly after that. If you Co. 0ile your own builds you can cherry pick that into packages/apps/Settings before building.

Oh ok, i guess ill just have to wait then, thank you though

I had the same problem. Tried the fix and it didnt work. Went back stock which is okay but isnt cm12

I really want to install CM12 but I guess I'll have to wait until they iron out the bugs. I am also wondering if any of you guys who installed CM12 can receive calls while the phone's headphone jack is connected to car AUX cables. I can't hear a thing what the other side was saying, but they can hear me fine. Thanks in advance. I experience this same exact bug on stock.

Did you get a different cable and try?

Anyone know why there is an led for charging when phone is off but not while phone is on? Any issues with 21s build?

No option. Turn phone off and use plug charging. For some reason, if you use the qi charger, it automatically reboots phone. If phone is off, and plugged in, led turns on. Turn on phone, led disappeared. On Nexus 6, unlocked, 21st build.

There are options now.

(Work In Progress) FAQ
Do I have to wipe before flashing??
Always wipe, no matter what ROM you are on now, even if it's a previous version of BlakCM.
I flashed a different kernel and now I'm having an issue, what should I do?
Boot to recovery, wipe everything and reflash BlakCM. I'll only provide support for the kernel integrated into BlakCM.
I see 'So and so" posted a fix for this issue or that, is it safe to flash that fix on BlakCM?
Please make a backup before making any modifications or flashing any 'fixes' from ANYONE. You also flash said fix or mod at your own risk..
My data [3G/4G/LTE] doesn't work, but everyone else's seems fine, how do I fix it?
Flash a Stock ROM and update your profile then flash back to BlakCM.
This ROM is for the carrier in the section it is placed in, if you have problems with data and are on a different carrier,
then you must search elsewhere for a fix or ask around to see if someone else knows.
I flashed the ROM and now I have an issue, what should I do?
Pull a logcat and post it on to pastebin.com, provide a link in this thread to it.
Be detail specific in your post. I need to know if you have modded or changed anything that may cause the issue.
How do I pull a logcat?
Check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726238
Will you add 'this' feature?
Not likely. If you want a feature added unofficially, you should add the feature yourself and post your unofficial build.
When will this 'issue' be fixed?
NO ETA's.

ALSO KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND IF YOU HAVE DATA PROBLEMS:
Carbajal3009 said:
Make sure to update profile when on a sense ROM, then do a clean flash of this ROM. When it boots and you input your name, don't set up an account, choose skip. You won't have any signal at all...no data. Don't panic. Relax...then put your phone in to airplane mode for 1 minute...then switch it off and make sure you have DATA checked ON. DONT TOUCH THE NETWORK SETTINGS., this happens with a majority of 4.3 roms

No luck. The phone turns on, no signal. Okay, I switch to WCDMA preferred, and I got a signal with my 3G SIM-card. BUT! In the status-bar the scale shows with the "R" (Roaming) letter, and I got no data. I can not even set APN for my connection, as there is no such setting.
nate234, is it possible to add some 3G settings in this ROM?

[ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] [CM11] Built from source + visible battery % [05/12/2013]

Hi All,
Just made this for me, but thought i'd share in case anyone wants it. Nothing cherry picked, straight CM11 built from source, modded SystemUI.apk to set battery % on, and colour it black so visible. That's it. Don't ask for a changelog, check CM11 commits. Plan on daily build for now, at least until CM11 nightly builds hit anyways
Fully working ART if you utilise PA GAPPS packages
filename: cm-11-20131205-UNOFFICIAL-mako.zip
download mirrors: Google Drive | Box | DropBox
md5 mirrors: Google Drive | Box | DropBox
Only building for the devices I own currently so please don't ask for others
To install: Same as any other CM thread/version
Credits: CM team of course, also Raum1807 for his guide on building CM11, and homeslice976 for his guide on modding the battery in kitkat.
**NOTE: Battery percent does not show until it drops to 99. At 100 percent nothing will show.

As said above, depends on app. Why I say fully working ART, is I've had some roms installed that ART does not switch on properly, or, can't switch back. This switches through fine to either

And, as an FYI, anyone using Xposed - you cannot use ART with Xposed, at all. In fact, when I just tried to re-enable after switching to ART, after reboot I was dalvik again.
Had a problem with the dialer earlier today...couldn't see who I was calling. After I dialed it went directly to the homescreen every time... Will try this update and hope for the best...

Always on, Google now turns itself off often

Hey guys, in the screenshot that setting to have Google always on, keeps turning off but for the love of me I don't know why, any advice?
When I switch from enhanced to basic and back to enhanced again, it does allow me to flip the switch for always on again, but as you can imagine if k have to do that, the whole thing becomes pretty useless, used to work just fine btw :banghead:

Paranoid Android Shamu Bugs.

I'm wanting to index some common issues and solutions (If any) for PA's 1st version for the N6. This is N6 only! not Oneplus, 6P, ect
Keep a clean format with your posts

Description of issue, how to repeat.
Solution

I'll try to update this as they are posted.
Only one I have seen myself is the security settings
Bug- Settings crashing when trying to configure pin, pattern, password
solution- none
Log- none, will be fixed next release according to PA Team
Remember do not use Open Gaaps. PA team has had some issues. Also not recommended to use full package...(I'm running Nano myself)

I have just downloaded the latest version of gapps(stock) and I'm running PA Nexus 6. Whenever I get a call or place a call the active call screen does not show up. So without my smart watch I have no idea who is calling. Has anybody else ran into this error?
Bluetooth/android wear worked fine, however when I paired the phone to my car the bluetooth share process started crashing constantly.
I switched to purenexus after two days but here's what I noticed:
-I was using the elementalX kernel
-random reboots when listening to google play music
-icon theming only worked once while using google now launcher (applied one pack and then couldn't change that pack)
No logcats, sorry. I might try going back after the next substantial update and keep the stock kernel that comes with it.

Yea apparently there's a known issue with stock open gapps. But since I switched, I've had no issues what's so ever. I have to say this is the smoothest my nexus has ran in some time. Just patiently waiting for the next update when they fix the lockscreen pin fc.
