[Q] GT8.9 not turning on!!! - Galaxy Tab 8.9 General

Hi XDA people,
I was editing a description in Gumtree app and tablet just shut off. It was all fine before that. No problems before. It just shut off.
It has about 70% charge, tried plugging in and holding power key, tried all the button combinations while plugged in and unplugged. Nothing worked.
I opened the tablet up and removed the cable connecting the battery to the device. I waited a few seconds and put it back in. I put the cover back on my tablet. I plugged the charger in and saw the battery icon. I clicked power key to turn it on because there was plenty of charge, tablet shut off again.
I repeated disconnecting and reconnecting the battery cable, nothing happened on the screen. The screen is just black. Won't turn on. Wasn't dropped and not waterlogged. Help me. Nothing i've tried is working. Any other solutions?
Note: When I plug the tablet into PC and go to devices and printers, I see a device called 'APX' in the Unspecified Devices section. Drivers for the device couldn't be found. Kies doesn't pick it up and neither does ADB.

[Q] Nook won't boot - "Battery too low to power ON"

I recently installed CM7 nightly 12 and it's stuck at this screen. I'm using the stock charger. I've tried plugging it into my computer too.. no luck. Is there anything else to try? Am I screwed?
this sounds like something that was happening to me yesterday. i finally got it to charge by making sure it was completely off. i finally realized that even though the screen was dark it wasn't off, so it never charged (i think it was just recycling the charge enough to keep it on). if you look at it in a dark enough light you can see the screen is still on (backlit).
so plug it in, i would suggest using the wall charger. this usually makes it turn on (at least mine did), once it does, hold the power button until its off, no backlight is on. hope this makes sense and helps out a little
There's many others having this problem (me, on my friends nook, one of them). Hold down the Power button for a long period of time (I heard it's 10 seconds, but someone said they had to hold it for 30) and it will do a hard reset. At that point, try to turn it on again normally. If it doesn't turn on normally, plug it in (using the uSB cable that came with it (that is very important) and into the wall with the provided adapter), wait 30 minutes, and try again. It seems that very few (I don't know if i've actually read of any) who had this problem actually had to return the nook. When it happened to me with my bro-in-laws, he just hed the power button cause he was mad and it turned on, it hasn't happened to him since
Finally started working. I tried holding the power down for awhile with no luck.. Left it charging overnight and tried holding power again and it worked!

NOOKcolor unable to power on.

Unable to power on my NOOKcolor after i powered it off. My NOOK has been sitting here for awhile now as i haven't been able to get it to turn on. No backlight, so it's not even "on."
After it refused to power on, i plugged it into the computer and it detected that it had a device but was unable to find drivers for it. Nothing was on the screen still.
I've charged it for about an hour or so with the ORIGINAL cable and power adapter, still no luck there.
I have held the power button for a minute and both the power and home button for a minute. Still nothing.
Anyone know what's up? Why is it that after i powered down my NOOK it doesn't turn on?
I was running CM7 Stable.
I remember having a problem like this with my original nook. I left it plugged in for a while and it went back on. Look at the FAQ on B&N's website or try calling them... just obviously don't mention your running CM7...

I'll leave it plugged in for the night then. I also forgot to mention that i'm not in the states anymore. ;P
The same thing happened to me. The only way I could tell if it was booting was listen for the ding when it was plugged into my computer. To fix, I would just hold down the + n and power. I had to do this repeatedly. Eventually, it came back on.

won't turn on/can't select any boot options

I have a new Motorola Atrix HD. I was using it and the screen went black. i hit the power button to unlock but nothing happened. i plugged it in but nothing happened. i took the back off to see if the battery was disconnected. I didn't know the battery was different than other phones and ripped the power cord connecting the battery to the phone when i took it out. lesson learned. Ordered a new battery and installed correctly. phone won't turn on. The green charge light blinks when i plug it into the wall and then stays on for about 20 seconds and then the phone tries to turn on but while the motorola icon is illuminated, it cuts back out and repeats the cycle. I left it plugged in for a couple hours and still the same thing. i tried holding in power and volume buttons for the boot screen. if i do that just as the phone attempts to turn on i can get the screen up and scroll the list of boot options with the power buttons but i can't select any of them and the phone cuts out after the same amount of time. Everytime. When i plug it into my laptop, the light blinks on and then stays on like with the wall, but the phone doesn't attempt to power up. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. i have read a lot of forums where the battery was acting up because of the chargers people were using. The difference between my situation and those of the people i read about is that my boot screen cuts out and cannot be used. This all happened 2 days after my exchange period ended and because i took the back off myself, best buy won't have anything to do with me so i'm on my own and cannot afford another phone right now. Thanks in advance for your time and concern.

Is it possible that the that connection between the power cord and the phone itself is loose or damaged? I'm just guessing here as I have never opened up the back of my phone.
I would check your battery terminals then leave it to charge if it does. You could also try a factory cable. Another thing would be to try fastboot while connected to your laptop and see if it stays on, and if it does, try reflashing all partitions.

[Q] i9070 won't power on, won't charge

Hello, I've got problem with my wife's galaxy s advance.
The phone has a latest stock rom, i don't know which one. (chacked in phone for updates like 2 weeks ago and it said that there were none). It was unlocked.
The phone was never flashed or rooted.
It was left with a charger plugged in yesterday for the whole night.
When we wake up, the phone was off.
Now if you plug in the charger it vibrates shortly after three seconds, no light no nothing.
If you press power it also vibrate shortly - nothing more happnes.
I tried to go to download mode or rcovery - nothing.
Tried to plug in to a pc using USB but it is the same...
Any ideas?
Is it only the battery or is the phone dead?
I got some progres
I plugged the phone to my pc with a diffrent cable, there is a plug in and plug out windows sound, the battery indicator shows up for like 5s, it is very low and the pattern starts all over again, i'll just leave it like this and see what happens
Maybe your wall charger is broken, try another one
AntaresOne - of course, I tried like 5 of them...
the phone reacts only in the pc, fter couple of minutes is still doing the "charge loop"
I've checked the USB in my pc and it's the "always on" one, maybe it provides more Ampers?
After an hour or so it stopped "charge looping" and started to just charge
Now is 28% and everything's back to normal.

Tab not charging or turning on

I have the SM T815 9.7 32 gb variant. It worked completely fine. Two days back i connected a USB OTG and the tab recognized it, but i couldnt explore it inside the file manager, so i fonally diconnected it. Now the tab was charged to atleast a 20 percent. After removing the usb it showed 5 percent. So i connected the 1.8 amps charger i had. It generally charges it correctly and the charge doesnt fall even in use. I started watching a movie. Even tho the charger was connected the charge kept falling and finally shut down. So i left the tab on charge. It was stuck at 0 percent. At first the screen would show whenever i connected it to the charger, but after mutiple tries it has stopped doing that. I tried the stock charger as well, held down the power button and the volume up key for a minute, connected it and then kept holding the buttons for another 30 seconds. Still doesnt work. If i connect the charger now, the screen doesnt turn on or show any signs of charging.
1) connect the tab to PC;
2) press Home, Vol Down and Power simultaneously up to a screen appears;
3) press Vol Down to cancel and reboot the tablet.
Did this. Now the screen shows the charging icon. The chraging is extremely slow, after about 25 minutes its 2 percent. And the battery side is all warmed up. Should i be worried?

srry for reviving this thread but did your tablet eventually went back to normal?
my galaxy tab s2 does not turn on nor charging.. I connected it to my pc and tried home vol down and power but didn't work
And another revival - did you find any solutions to this? - mine did the exact same things, and none of the suggestions worked
Here we are again.
Another device, same problem.
Had around 40% suddenly went black and since then now sign at all no matter what I connect to it or button combo I use.
Edit:
After nearly one hour of testing different combos I could access download mode and from then on everything worked fine.
