I haven't seen an app like this so I don't think it exists. Today I left my house and forgot my phone, I didn't realize it until I was several miles away. I know the Gear 2 Neo beeps when it loses bluetooth connection but I didn't hear it. I'd like an app/feature that causes the Neo to alarm when bluetooth is lost between phone and Neo. It would alarm until turned off. Anyone no of an app like this? Doen't it make sense or is it just me. Thanks.
I need an app like this.
I Drive a truck and I often find myself leaving my phone behind and I have to go back I would love an app that would alarm on my Samsung gear to watch to let me know that I have left my phone behind
Mine Gear vibrates (and displays a message) when BT is connected or disconnected as a standard setup.

I have the Smartwatch and Smart wireless headset pro paired to my Xperia Z. I have noticed a couple of issues.
Smartwatch:
Disconnects quite a bit and requires me to swipe up on the watch screen to make it reconnect. I would say today it happened 30-40 times in a 10 hour period. Haven't had any issue with the watch like that on any of my other devices. Anyone else had this happen? Smartwatch is running the latest firmware.
Smart wireless headset pro:
It paired fine to the XZ and seems to work without issue. The thing I have noticed though is the Throw icon will pop up in the notification area and allow me to toggle between phone and the headset, or at least appears that way. If I change it to the headset via the throw function nothing changes. Sound continues based on how I have it setup in the bluetooth headset settings. Even stranger is if I disconnect the headset by turning it off the Throw icon will still be there. When I open it the headset will disappear from the options and when I go back to the home screen the throw icon is gone from the notification area but will return some time later again showing the headset even though it has been off that whole time.
Not sure why the throw options would show up if they won't change how the audio is handled or why it keeps showing up after I have disconnected the device. Anyone else with either of these accessories having any issues?
It could be a jellybean issue.
Those of us in the Nexus 7 forum had issues with bluetooth with jellybean, audio lag, skip & disconnects.
Seems to be much better after the latest jellybean update.

Didn't have the issue with my TL running the LT30p JB update though.
And tonight I unpaired the headset from the phone completely and turned the headset off. The phone still popped up the throw notification and had the headset listed there. This was after a reboot too.

My Smart watch randomly disconnects to, sometimes it works for hours no issues other time disconnects every 2-3 mins, again both running the latest firmware.
Also when i restart the phone liveware/ (Smart Connect?) FC`s a couple of times before it settles.
The smartwatch works perfectly with my note 2, thought it would work just as good or better with the xz seeing as there both sonys. Strange

Hi all
I have been trying to sort out this problem for a few days now and cant seem to come right.
When I make a call from my Phone, it defaults to BT headset and send the audio to the Gear.
Normally this would happen if the call originated from the Gear but is happening with every call made, from Gear or Note3.
Is there a setting on the Note that I am missing, that defaults bluetooth headset, because I cant find it.
Can anyone help me. It only started happening once I flashed null_21, and now I am on null_22 using a stock Note 3.
Even when I answer the call on my phone it defaults to Headset, wtf. This is driving me insane
Might end up going back to stock if I cant sort this out. At least it worked then and battery wasn't draining so fast!
EDIT: Okay finally figured it out. It was Voxer causing the problem. The bluetooth setting in Voxer was enabled and this caused it to default to bluetooth in the phone.
FINALLY SORTED!!!!!!!1
I'm already looked for 3 days all over the internet and can't seem to find the fix.
Issue:
AT&T Note 3 + 2013 BMW X5 paired and happy for 6+ months using BME bluetooth and headset no problems. Phone paired, bluetooth always connects, all functions (phone, messages, music etc all work).
Early March, noticed that when connected to BMW, as soon as screen dims during call, both the bluetooth connection and headset icon stay active but the phone drops into handset (ie phone's own speaker/mic) and although bluetooth remains connected and headset icon on, the sound is now via phone. Touch phone and screen lights up, everything is fine again until screen dims, then repeat fiasco.
Can't find offending issue or setting. Could have been an app or app update.
So, to fix, flashed car into latest BMW updated firmware.
Tried again, same issue.
Then update phone to KitKat.
Tried again, same issue.
Yes, the proximity sensors are off and yes phone is set to not dim when on call. Still does.
Can't figure out why this is happening. Seems to happen quicker with Powersaving Mode on.
Any ideas??
I am now resorting to trying some of the Apps that keep screen lit while app is running....
Phone is OEM (ie not rooted) stock AT&T GN3. Also, previously, the phone would sit on passenger seat or console without any proximity settings and do just fine until this started happened. I suspect it is some kind of app or update that has caused the phone to behave like this. The problem is the phone.
TIA
Same issue with my Honda Accord, paired with bluetooth, phone will become unresponsive for 2-5 min when playing music, but then I formatted the phone and since then no issues.

I have been running the Tizen on my gear since it came out and it has been working great on my S4 for many months. The last two months though after an update came out on the Gear Manager, I am constantly getting gear disconnects and then instantly reconnecting anywhere from 5-10 times a day to 5 times within two or three minutes. Which is dropping my battery quite a bit and also annoying me. Since it vibrates when it disconnects/reconnects I have been ignoring vibrations which sometimes are real calls or texts and when my phone is in silent I am missing many notifications.
Has anyone else seen this problem? I have reflashed the stock OS to my S4, and I have tried the last two versions of Tizen, the one I am running now ends with COA2. I am beginning to think maybe it is the gear or the S4 but not sure which. I can listen to music through my bluetooth headset for my helmet just fine, and I can also stream music to my bluetooth speaker as well. So I think it could be the watch, but it all seemed to start when the Gear Manager 2.2.15011799 came out. Since then another Gear Manager verison has been released (I think it was this week) 2.2.15022599 and it still has the issue. I haven't seen many with this problem, so I am not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Looks like it was the bluetooth on my S4. The gear works great on other Samsung phones. Just not on mine. I also can't use since bluetooth headsets with my phone. Thanks
Does any body know if there is a way or an app that will allow me to play music via Bluetooth but still have the alarm come through the phone speaker? Here's the situation. I like to listen to music while I sleep but my phone is also my alarm clock. so if my ear-buds come out during sleep "and they usually do" the alarm is coming through the Bluetooth ear-buds and not the phone. I'm a pretty light sleeper so the vibrations have been waking me up so far. But id really like to find a solution to this. Seems like there should be a way especially if your rooted.

It's a long shot, but have you tried Alarm Clock Xtreme? It has the option to force sound to speakers when headphones are plugged in. Not sure if this works with bluetooth but you can give it a shot. Best of luck.

While not an ideal solution for everyone I have two ideas:
I switched a while back to using Timley In doing so I tried to recreate your scenario: bluetooth headphones listening to music and the alarm goes off. It rang in the earphones AND on the phone at normal phone alarm volume.
However I know switching apps can be a lot to ask of someone so my next idea is to use either Tasker or Automagic to have bluetooth turn off at a certain time which would force your phone to play the alarm. However if your bluetooth headphones are good at blocking sound, may be a no go...
Good question. I'll keep thinking.
Thanks. I'm gonna check into all those apps tomorrow.

Ok I decided to try out Timley first and I love the way the app is set up. But the alarm only came through the headphones. Is there a setting for that? I didn't see one.

Well that is strange. The only modifications I made to my system image are ad-blocking and xposed. I havent tweaked any audio anything so I should have a stock experience and had the alarm play on both headset and phone speaker.
It is bluetooth right? Not hardwired?

Yes it is Bluetooth. And that's the same mods I've done to mine. Weird.
