Hello,
This is my first post so I apologize in advance if it is in the wrong area or if the answer is common knowledge. I looked the best I could and was unable to find a solution to my problem.
The issue is recently when I try to download files from within the browser I receive the message "Download Unsuccessful" and the file does not download. This has happened numerous times of the last few days and is now at the point where I cannot seem to download anything directly from the browser.
An example of things I am trying to download are podcasts off of PodcastAlley.com (podcastalley.com/podcast_details.php?pod_id=20249) and also I have had the issue when trying to download an file from megaupload/rapidshare etc.
I found a lot of people had this issue with the market however my market works fine and I am able to download apps. I have tried clearing the cache/data of the market and download manager etc but it has resulted in nothing.
I should also mention that I have this problem over Wifi, 3g and Edge network connections so I really dont know what to think. Aside from factory reset, does anyone have any ideas as to what I can try? Thanks!
EDIT: forgot to say that this issue seems to have appeared since I flashed the stock frf91 update for custom recoveries as I currently have RA recovery.
Well, I feel silly. I found out what my problem was when I went to transfer the files to my SD card after downloading them on my pc; it turns out my SD card was full.
Yes, a little embarrassing, and a little funny but I am glad I got my problem sorted out. In gingerbread 3.0 I would like to see something that tells me why my download failed next time haha.
I just did the same thing yesterday.
It's ok, brain farts happen.
On rooted 1.0.0 stock ROM running ADWLauncher EX... just tried to install Adfree and Angry birds and unfortunately both stayed at the "starting download" status for at least 10 minutes... decided to cancel both, and then restarted my nook and then went to download again and it's still happening...
I've installed so many things from the market before and this is the first time its ever given me trouble... anyone know a solution? Maybe re-sync my google account?? (how??)
I have been trying to get my NC to work properly for the past few hours. My main problem is that every time that I try to install an app from the market, it tells me "The app will be downloaded" and then it does not install it. All it does is add it to the "My Apps" list, but instead of saying installed it just says "Free".
It worked at the first few minutes and I have managed to install a few apps before this phenomena has started.
I have tried reinstalling HC v04 a couple of times and the same has happened.
I have also tried to install Market 2.2.11 as recommended in the tutorial with the same result(first working then not so much).
I have looked all over the googles and the forums and have tried everything I could figure out. Can anyone please help me to resolve this?
Hi everybody,
since I cannot post anything at the development section I have to ask here:
I just installed JellyBean on my Nexus One through Evervolv and so far it's working awesome. The only downside unfortunately I cannot get fixed: Along with it I installed m2sd and now whenever I want to install or update anything it either gets downloaded and stuck right there or it get's stuck right away during the download and the process bar won't show any progress and nothing will be downloaded or updated at all. In the beginning I received errors about insufficient space but this changed when I re-initiated m2sd. However now there's still nothing installed and I would need to get my Apps back on.
Anyone who can help or even had the same situation successfully fixed?
Thanks a lot!
See this post. It shows how I have it set up. This fixed this issue for me.

Well this morning, suddenly the playstore stopped working, showing the following error - Check your connection and try again.
I've faced this problem many times and I'm usually able to solve it, but this time I wasn't able to.
Steps I've already taken
Clear data and cache of Playstore and Google services Framework
Delete the host files in the etc folder
Reboot a couple of times
What else can I do?
Oh and also for some strange reason I wasn't able to update my apps since this morning. An error kept popping up - error 489.

Yeah dude I already tried that. Didn't work. For some reason the internet's stopped working now. Nothing of google is opening up. Nor are the notifications. Other sites are working sans google.
For this reason i decided to flash the stock rom
but when I try to flash, I get this message preflash validation failed
You have any idea?
