Sorry I don't understand what you implied?
Yes that's correct, well if it ran without errors, that's good, must have automatically granted permissions / had permissions from before, hope you like it! BTW uncheck the boot option since it won't automatically apply values on boot it will just confuse smanager...

Sir, can I get this script to start automatically in the autostart? So it would do its work before or after a reboot? Sorry for asking but I consider my self as a semi-noob!

um nope not atm sorry, i will try to make a on boot exec method for this script later, best u can do is manually do it, sorry :/ (btw dont reboot so often, its not needed )
tip: enable GPU rendering, it reduces load on CPU which seems to make ram be more snappy (methinks the cpu is a bottleneck) and make multitasking better and I get less ui frame rate drops (due to GPU rendering...) and etc... @devsk - check this out plis.

Hi!
I have a problem with this script.
I opened the SManager with and open the script with the skull(SU) marked. I dont understand what happend but I set the number 7(Super Multitasking permanent) and appear a error about "/system/etc/init.d" and I dont know if it is working or not. And if I set "BB" I get "error - unkown cmd -". Please, can you help me?
Two questions: what is the diff between init.d and boot, and how to remove script from booting w/device?
When I type "BB" it shows an error message "unknown CMD" I'm running 5.0.2 lollipop stock ROM and I have busybox installed and init.d with right permissions
Is there any way to fix this?
Herrroo
When attempting option 7 super multitasking perm I get this error "/system/etc/init.dr " or something close to that. Im on Qauntum Prime ROM (cm12) have busy box installed and select su before running script. Help me Obi your my only hope!
Hi man, thanks for the good work. I am in cm12 quantum lp and when I try to apply the super multitasking perm I have a mkdir error. What I am doing wrong? Tia.
Rtrm 2.1 feedback
Hi, using v 2.1 on lp 5.0.2, xt 1068
The following commads did not work or resulted in error:
BB - no such command
7 - various errors
E - did not find safe_exit or so error msg.
The lp bootanim fix seems to work. At least the lp speed is much better now.

Hey all, i have been asked a few times lately how to install the v6 supercharger
So I have decided to finally make a tutorial thread
* Almost project butter build.prop tweaks are in post 3:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3015977 *
-=The V6 SuperCharger=- brought to you by zepplinrox
Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
If you're thinking whether or not to install the script, areas all the positive comments in the thread
This will work on *almost* every ROM with a init.d folder in /system/etc/init.d
I haven't tested this on ROMs without one!
but its tested on nearly every incredible s ROM and on about 5 nexus 7 ROMs. You can use this guide on nearly every device, its universal as long as you meet the requirements
The last version I tested is U9RC11T6, on UKB II 1.3 and it works 100%
*Known to cause root problems sometimes with Nik's Project X 4.x* (Thanks to everyone who reported that)
Pretty sure its the busybox installed with the starter kit, maybe if you don't install the starter kit it will not have problems. If you test this, please report
Disclaimer: I, or zepplinrox or anyone here am not responsible for any damage caused to your phone. No one is forcing you to do this.
I did not impregnate your daughter or son
That said, its easy if you know what you are doing.
So, how to install on GB, ICS and JB
note: gingerbread does not need the patched services.jar so ignore that part if you are using a gingerbread ROM
UKB II and ARHD 3.0.x have the patched services.jar in them already, so don't panic if it doesn't ask you. Thanks to the devs for making supercharger installation easier
If you're having troubles on JellyBean, you might want to check out this post and the ones after it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31675038#post31675038 (Thanks to TheGratefulDead, hit his thanks button!)
1. Download the script from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18703418&postcount=5021
I downloaded Update 9 RC10 (tested up to U9RC11T6 working too) and also download the starter kit. Extract starter kit to the root of your sd card
2. Download script manager and busybox installer from the play store. Install latest version of busybox
3. Open up script manager, click on root when it comes up. Navigate to the supercharger starter kit folder, and click on the script 'start me up.sh'. Run as root by clicking the little superuser android icon, and let it install by following the instructions, they are easy to follow. When some, close the script
4. Now go back to the root of your sdcard in script manager and open up the V6 supercharger script and root permission, let it do what it has to do. Follow the instructions. When it asks you about a patched services.jar, say yes, and automatic install, it will automatically download and install. For reference, I used the 768HP settings on an AOSP ROM like ice cold and I used the min free calculator settings on sense ROMs like ARHD and project x
5. When is asks you, do a superclean and restart, your phone will reboot. If at any stage it stays on the splash screen for more than 5 mins, restart with adb or by holding vol down, vol up and power for 10 seconds. Avoid pulling the battery as it can cause bricks
6. After your phone reboots, go to /system/etc/init.d and click on the 99supercharger script. Set it to superuser and run at boot.
This is not needed as proven by some people but I recommended doing so, it won't cause harm to do it
7. reboot again
8. Go back to the installer script (the update9RC10 one or whatever you used) and run it again. It SHOULD say 100% supercharged. If it doesn't, you've probably done something wrong or you have an incompatibility
9. Press thanks for this post and zepplinrox's post for the supercharger
He worked hard to deliver this to us and I spent ages writing this
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Any questions, post here but read through the posts, ask google or use search before asking, your question may have already been asked
Any errors in the guide or if I am not thorough enough for you, lemme know
If you guys need pictures I can post them
Happy supercharging!!
Sent from my Nexus 7
Pro tip:
The further down the menu list the supercharger setting is, the more aggressive it is
I.e 256mb settings will not close apps often
1000hp settings will close apps frequently, not recommended for this device
I would say to use either 512mb or 768 hp settings, or the min free values
Aggressive settings = more apps closed = more free ram
Lenient settings = apps left open = less free ram = more multitasking!
BUT 768hp settings on the ice cold ROM or any aosp ROM will give decent multitasking
If you're unsure about something, ask
Enjoy

This is an attempt to speed up our GS3 faster than stock and somewhat close to JB and provide odex benefits to both system and data without having to Odex .I have been running this for 48 hours and wow.
Just follow the steps below. Any feedback is appreciated.
The dalvik dexopt flag change were found through research of android and the internet. Below is the procedure to get some serious butter melted from our Gs3 along with a smooth ride.
NANDROID-BACK UP- YOU HAVE WARNED
Step 1: Back up current build.prop
Step 2: Open current build.prop with a root explorer, any will do.
Step 3: copy and paste the lines below to the bottom of your build.prop
Step 4: comment out with # any existing lines that contain dalvik.vm.dexopt or windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec
Step 5: Save your build.prop make sure permissions are set correctly 0644
Step 6: reboot into reocvery and wipe dalvik cache(this is extremely important)
Step 7: reboot, dalvik cache will rebuild
Step 8: Enjoy the buttery smooth gs3
Code:
#Odex Tweaks
dalvik.vm.verify-bytecode=false
dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=v=n,o=v,m=y
#UI Tweaks
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=300
ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0
ro.kernel.checkjni=0
ro.max.fling_velocity=12000
ro.min.fling_velocity=8000
persist.sys.ui.hw=1
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1

Follow the instructions. Don't worry about where it says "GS3" because it works on our device too, I am pretty sure its universal.
You can either delete or put a # in front of repeated lines. A # means it is not active/read.
Make sure to go to the linked thread and thank the person who originally posted the tweaks!
If you're up to it, or you can post some screenshots

It doesn't really need to settle like a ROM does, just open apps as you normally would and it will be in effect like the script says something like 'supercharge in effect immediately'
since your x5 has less ram than the incredible s, it would probably be a good idea to put it on that I find supercharger more effective when the ram is running low, like on sense ROMs or low ram devices

As we all know the gaming at Our Phone isnt really good some report it's Slow beacause theres only 1 core online. But there is an solution for this!
Thread with the Stuff for the terminal Is also here: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2253921 ) But I was really lazy of doping this commands so, i were Going on the internet and found something to download! I'll put the file into the Attachments! How to install this.....
Requirements;
Root.
A Root file explorer to get into your system files...
A brain to reed this careful.
What to Do;
Extract the Zip Thats in the attachmnts.
Get it onto your phone. (internal External doesnt matter I suggest Internal)
Go to your file explorer And past the file in: System\Etc\Init.d\
And set Permissions!
Reboot.
Enjoy Gaming!
I didn't try it . But it won't work without adding the line :-
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
In the top of that script . Which tells the system to sh this test .
And you forot to mention fixin permission.
Also this needs init.d kernel support or busybox run-parts in order to run this script every reboot .
Correct me if I'm wrong
Thanks for sharing .

When you use smanager it's an app that is designed to run scripts .
But if it was in the init.d folder you must add that line to tell the kernel that this test is a script . And the kernel will use the sh binary to run it .

Thank you for letting me know even. And I've made this one beacause your Script wasn't clear for me so i couldn't understand you know?
just for making sure, you guys do know what this script does?
it makes the GPU to run always (!!!) on max speed. this will reduce the battery life extremely.
this script should not be ran at every boot. you better only run it when you want to play games (and maybe reboot afterwards, or write a "undo" script)
@laufersteppenwolf
I think the Battery Drain is not the main Problem. It isn't higher than without that Tweak.
But i have one Question!
Is it possible for you to implement this Tweak in your kernel?
So when you selected the Gaming Governor, that this tweak is also active. And if you turn off the Gaming Governor again, the tweak is terminated.
I don't know if it's possible, so i ask you.
can i use it on rooted v20B locked bootlader? there is no init.d folder in system\etc\, should we create that folder manually?
what is the permission? thanks

"better battery" could only be caused by the first command (unlink). the others only increase the batter usage.
this tweak is (partly (the unlink)) implemented in my rom. but i'm working on unlinking in the kernel of course.
about the idea about gaming: yeah i do have something in mind, but it's gonna be a bit different just wait and see right now i'm working on OC'ing the GPU, and then we can do such changes.

There's a HUGE difference in creating boot animations and creating a ROM.
Don't expect to teach yourself how to make a ROM in just a few days.
It takes, weeks, months, years...
If you're mainly planning to make some exterior changes, which I think you're currently doing, I would focus on making complete themes and not ROMs.
People are not waiting for a ROM which is already available but that looks somewhat different and maybe has some extra or removed apps.
Regarding your problem, I will not be able to help you since I don't have that kind of knowledge.
Anyway, good luck!

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah I know that it's not easy to create ROM and also it takes a lot of time. I am ready to give it a shot
I am just making some small changes just for my sake I'll be using this ROM personally for my own use I know that there are a thousand times better ROM's than mine
Anyway glad you considered my probelm.
Bootloop can be cause by:
- Wrong permissions
- Corrupt installation
It is nice if you collect either the last_ksmg or logcat when bootlooping. (if possible)

Can you please have a look at my new updater-script and tell me what is wrong?
I will surely try to get logcat but before that if you can just analyze this updater-script and pinpoint the mistakes it'll make my work a lot easier.
Thanks in advance :good:
Sent me the entire .zip file instead (but start with updater-script)

Sure thing I'll
I am compressing it to maxium extent using KGB archiver and it'll become around 10~20 mb only
It's still compressing so it'll take some time before it reaches it's max compression.
I'll surely send you asap

Can anyone tell me how to replace keyboard apk in system folder ? Do I need to resign the apk? Or what am I missing? Seems that Whatever I try, it doesn-t want to work at all ( with custom keyboards )

You can just put it in data, no need to be in system partition. And probably it is because it is not signed.
P.S. Try to put same permission like on other apks there. 644

to make things clearly, maybe i didin-t say all the right story ............. I am trying to make a full blacked out rom ( Fully with only hdpi icons ) so ........ that all been said , I need every apk to be modified in order to achieve this goal ( I must to confirm, I gained some more free ram and more space for installing apk-s ) so .......... thing is ........... i get errors with camera2.apk and with latinIME.apk everytime I try to repack the apk and replace with the quote stock keyboard . no matter if i try to sign/unsign it ......... it doesn„t like the repack process or maybe I-m missing something? Maybe it needs to be recompiled? I did this method for every other apk that can be found in system folder, without problems. Only camera 2 and LatinIME gave me those nasty errors.....maybe they are repacked in other way ?
P.S : I-m on dark cm rom , so yeahh........ that-s my experiment rom .
L.E : I found out that I don-t have to repack the apk. I only need to zip it normally without any modification like decompiling or whatever else

Just curious: where did you get CPA 8.00.
AFAIK ver 7.00 is the latest one for the SGSA.

Hello devs, and thank you for sharing your ROM with us.
I got a question. When I got missed call notification for the very first time after installation I have swiped it to the left. Then, i was asked if I want to enable opening apps in floating window after swiping notification to the left. I pressed "Yes", but now I regret that decision. Now, the question - how to disable opening app in window after swiping notification? I cannot find any kind of settings.

problem with Beanstalk for Kindle Fire HD
I just flashed Beanstalk onto my Kindle, also Gapps, and SuperSU without problems. However, when I was setting up my tablet, the Google setup option was skipped and when I go to Setting/Accounts/Add account, the screen flashes and does not prompt me to add any information. I rebooted twice, and tried again twicr, with the same outcome. All else about this ROM is working fine.
same issues here

Which gapps are you flashing after ROM?
im using the google stock package.
so after i got the same error i wiped everything on my kfhd7, now my PC doesn't read my my kindle. i can no longer copy paste the files to the sd. to try and reflash the rom.
I just realized that CM12 is finally out and that there are versions for KFHD! I'd like to ask a few questions since I haven't installed any L roms yet and am wondering about a bunch of stuff.
I've been running the PAC rom until now, the KitKat version and although it was very nice at first it's really laggy now so I'm hoping for a decent change. Is L really better as far as performance goes? :/
Also, in the bugs it said about some option in settings FC'ing? I know it's silly to ask, but what does FC stand for? >.< (I know... sorry...)
If I want updates do I have to check in your post in XDA, or are there OTA's available?
Hope I'm not spamming, I thought it'd be better to ask here than creating a new post in Q&A even though I haven't flashed it yet...
Thanks for taking the time to read this (and hopefully reply ^_^)
Question: I'm running the 20/01 update. I never had issues with the performance tab crashing but I can't put the performance in 1500, it can go below 1200 but completely ignores me when I try to take it higher. So here's my question. Is it a kernel issue? I've never installed a custom kernel (unless it can be installed when flashing a ROM), dunno how it works. Also which settings in performance are recommended for my kindle to be as fast as possible and can increasing it to 1500 damage my kindle?
Stuck
1st and foremost 1000 apologies if this has been answered in the discussion thread. I keep getting an error while installing the latest beanstalk ROM. I'm currently on twrp 2.7.0.0, running the latest cm 11 nightly. I've downloaded the beanstalk ROM, super su, and mini pa gapps. I usually fix all my mistakes or problems by myself but I keep running into this one. As soon as I do a full wipe and install, it errors and brings me back to install zip screen. Pleas any assistance would be great.

Perhaps you could try going in TWRP => Mount and uncheck System and then try again. Oh, and if you have questions/issues go to the actual Beanstalk thread and ask (I'm saying that for future reference), they reply instantly there, I've posted in Q&A a bunch of issues but they haven't replied Anyway, good luck! Ask again if it doesn't work! Oh, in general when flashing Beanstalk I do a wipe on System as well, I never encountered any problems when flashing it.

I actually solved it on my own. Unfortunately I read you post on the main thread, but since I don't have at least 10 posts. I'm not allowed to post on the main thread. I kept getting the error zip file signature verification. I just happened to tumble into the settings and unchecked that. It went smooth from there. The double post happened when I tried to copy and paste it into the main thread. Hence I found out I'm not allowed to post there. Thanks for responding to my post though.

No worries. Jee this thing with 10 posts is annoying, when I first joined XDA I already knew how to root etc and I bricked my kindle trying to install TWRP, but I didn't have enough posts to post in the development thread. Glad you figured it out! Beanstalk is a pretty nice rom, it works amazing for me, you'll probably find it much speedier than KK
Help ;-;
I was booting Beanstalk 5.0 on my Kindle Fire HD 7'. I flashed everything, but literally everything pops up saying it stopped. I cannot do anything on it, what do I do?
So how long does it take for first time boot up?
I'm hoping it's just loading up and not frozen on this black screen with no boot animation
It's been half an hour now.

I can't tell you with certainty if you flashed the latest version but it took about 15-20 mins for me when first flashed.

I got it to work now. Waited almost two hours and then gave in to restarting it.
That fixed it apparently haha.

Netflix
Is there any way to get Netflix to work with this rom? I can log in, select a user, and all the programs will populate on the screen. When I choose a program, it just sits there and spins the red circle never loading the program.
Refer to my question in the main thread for beanstalk about my wakelock and *alarm* issues
Is it possible to load lollipop onto a kindle fire HD (3rd gen).. a couple of the things i've seen so far are saying i need a fast boot cable and that there is no possible way to backup this model kindle.. Are these true? Thanks guys.
I can't download the gappas because the page of the links is close. Could someone send me the gapps link or something?
Sorry my bad English
Thanks
