I was wondering if anyone had bought a sim like this one for verizon. I know it has to be activated on another phone. But has anyone tried this?
Verizon Nano Sim
I'm thinking of giving it a go but want to make sure this sim is compatible with the nexus...
any information would be greatly appreciated.

That would work in a Nexus 6, but I have no idea why you'd buy one. Just go to the Verizon one and get it for free.

I bought my nexus from Sprint without contact but I have service with sprint thinking about changing providers how would I put my nexus on a different provider without buying a phone for a new Sim thank you
Just put the SIM card inside of the device and you're set.
For Verizon, you'd have to contact them to activate, I could be wrong. Not familiar with Verizon, but either way you'd need a Verizon SIM card.
Would they give me a sim if I get a plan with them

They sure would. You can get pre paid or bring your own device. Haven't done it myself but I've seen many on here do it.

See the thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/how-to-verizon-nano-sim-nexus-6-t2944308
thanks guys
I need to know how to coach them to activate. My current device is a galaxy nexus and I don't have a phone that supports the nano sim. I know the manager he will give me a sim but how do I get the aim activated instead of this one?

good luck. really need a phone that has nano sim or try to use nano and an adapter in your nexus but i think verizon knows what sim fits what so it might not allow that
Just got off the phone with verizon and I was told there are several types of nano sims... I told him it was the same type as the HTC One M8 (I have seen several people mention this while lurking) and he had it mailed out. Hoping it beats my device here so I don't have to go into a store. I did tell them it was a Nexus 6 and I didn't get any crap.
Fingers Crossed!
I'd suggest using the search function and seeing what you come up with

I've done this twice in store. They just have to find a phone that accepts a Nano Sim and activate it. First time was a Sony, second time an iPhone. No problems.

do you currently have a phone on a line with verizon? if so it wont work. the nexus imei isnt registered in vzw network
Go to a corporate store, hand them your nexus and tell them you needed a Sim only activation. They did mine in ten minutes.

Yes I do. It is my understanding that the IMEI roadblock was getting the sim not activating it. I saw people reporting that once they had a sim everything worked fine.

The guy on the phone said if my sim didn't show up fast enough I could do this. I prefer to avoid going into a store when possible.
Just pop in a sim and it works.

I can confirm this ---- I had a currently active Note 3, bought a sim cutter from Amazon for 8 bucks, cut the sim from my Note 3 down to nano size. Then, popped in the nano sim to my Nexus that had not been powered on yet. Powered the N6 on, and within about a minute my phone was active. If it doesn't work on first power-up, do a power cycle and you should be good to go.

good luck but what phone are you going to use to activate the nano sim??
I'd like to apologize in advance if this or similar question was already asked. I could not find clear answer.
I'm an existing Verizon Wireless customer and I'm about to place an order on Motorola.com website for Nexus 6.
My question(s) are:
1) Will I be able to use my Verizon Wireless SIM card?
I know some folks had issue activating device, but from what I understand if SIM card is already activated that should not be an issue and since I'm existing customer with nano SIM card I think I should be good to go)
2) Is there anything else I need to know before purchasing Nexus 6 from Motorola.com?
perhaps someone who's already using Nexus 6 _AND_ on Verizon network share their experience)

Yes.
Is yours a vzw nano sim? If so, just pop it into the N6. If a micro, just trim it down using a template, or freehand if you are supremely confident. Or you could use a Sim cutter & frame.

I have my device right now sitting at customs dock because Motorola forgot a form that needs to be with it. Expected date was tomorrow now they are saying next friday
Bummer! I got my 64 last week. Activated with a temporary new number at my local vzw store with no problems (in PA). Just switched to my permanent number again with no problems in a store in CA. Each time they used a new Droid Turbo to activate a new SIM (and both were corporate stores)!

I've been using mine on VZW since shortly after thanksgiving, I took the SIM card from my 2013 Dev X and dropped it in the Nx6 and connected to the network without any problems. The only thing to note is that if you look at your account using the MyVerizon website the phone shows up as a "unknown Nexus device" but hopefully VZW will fix that when they begin selling the Nx6.
Cheers
Yes you may use the Nexus 6 purchased from motorola on VZW.
Worried my Sim card will go bad and I'll have to go through hell getting another

Correction, my buddy got me a simcard adapter. I have a sim registered to a droid mini and if I get that adapter I can plug it in if i'd go to note and if I come back, I just use the micro. I should be okay (he's a verizon rep, recommended it)

but an att bought n6 wont register for verizon as a verizon bought n6. verizon has all the imei numbers of the n6 that they sell. thats how they know it was bought via verizon or someone else. no matter what, if you use a non verizon bought n6 on verizon, its ok and will work, but it wont show as a verizon bought n6. oh, btw, sim cards dont have anything to do with it.

Thanks. Forgot it was an IMEI that pops up verizon device or whatever. I'm okay with it not, unless they start raising trouble in the future. Thanks for clarification.

Always the eternal optimist..
Please help me! I took my unlocked Nexus 6 64GB to Sprint and after a few days they were able to register this phone on their Network. But, the moment I put a SIM card in the phone, it gets stuck on "Connecting to Network". I cannot change APNs as I believe it is GSM thing so what do I do?
Is there a Specific SIM card I need? I was told this could be the issue. I love my N6 and simply cannot get used to the Flex 2 I have from Sprint. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
