Hi Gurus,
Since few days I am facing a unique problem.
On the lock screen, a strange Circle (Orange outline, green-yellow dot inside) is getting displayed. This circle is behind the normal white unlock symbol (in the image the arrow is pointing to that circle behind the unlock symbol).
If I press this new circle, I get a meter on left side of screen where a small pointer travels from top to bottom. This pointer/slider has 0.895/5.0GB written on it.
I am not able to understand what it is and how to get rid of it.:crying:

I have flashed CM7 on my NC and after using it for a few days I have noticed a very thin (like 1 pixel thick) yellow line that runs across the screen on my NC.
The line is right at the bottom of where the status bar is (about 5mm from the top of the screen), when the nook is held in portrait. I did not notice it until I was playing some games in landscape mode.
The line does not show up if there is anything that is black in color over it (so it was covered by the status bar).
Anyone else had or seen this problem? It seems to be a bit different then others that have had dead pixels on the screens.
I'm planning to flash it back to stock tomorrow and exchange it for a new one, since I've only had it for 2 weeks.
Hi everybody;
Today something attracted my attention. When i use an application with the whole white colour, the bottom of the screen contrast is not like the middle of the screen or upper part of the screen.
I can see this when i use facebook. And also, the heat of those place(some colour like light yellow) is hot than the real whiter areas of the screen.
The Xl users, can you test this on your phones, simply open some program, check the contrast of the screen( bottom and middle part), and please check if the bottom is hot than the middle or upper.
I'm randomly getting a split screen, half of the screen turns upside down, half stays right side up. Screenshots do not show it however. I have to turn off the screen for it to go away. Happens periodically after several minutes of use. Any thoughts?
looks a bit like a slot machine yes? I have a vertical split where the the image is not flipped, but it does scroll up/wrap around the screen so that the notification bar is somewhere in the bottom half of the screen and the bottom of the image is wrapped around to the top.
I only really get it on custom kernels, I reported it to the maker of Elite and he said from what he has heard its a hardware issue and the only fix would be to RMA. Haven't done that yet as it fairly occasional, but plan to soonish.
kinda sucky how we are getting screen issues on this phone, i also have a screen issue with vertical gradient line appearing on some material themes.
sadly i cant RMA it. if i could i would have, i have ordered it all the way from the Middle east. :/ i will stick to the phone for a while longer as i love it.. and hoping that the line somehow dissappears by its own.
Story: I have 2 horizontal stripes on my touchscreen, that do not react on touch. The Touchscreen service menu lets me "clean" the touchscreen to show exactly these 2 bars that cannot be touched/touch doesn't react. Hence I decided to change the display (LCD+digitizer, as separating them is to difficult for me)
Now: Phone disassembled to the point, where I can unplug the display on the back, remove it and plug the new one in. Working so far.
Then I try to glue the new display in (display glue tape applied) which means I have to bend the cable a bit to go under the display. Before I push it firmly on the glue I test it again: LCD not working anymore. I see vertical artefacts.
Basically: The boot screen shows the white "SONY" centred on black background. But there are also artefacts from the "SONY" to the top and bottom. Like lines of error pixels with random colors. Not completely solid but visibly exactly where the "SONY" is.
Those lines are not static. They appear where bright objects are and are always top to bottom. Start is similar to this (during run it is not as bad as in the video, for me it is mostly e.g. when the symbols from the launchbar (WIFI, GPS,...) or the battery is shown) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2kBUXdGJtk
This happened to me twice now and I can't figure out, what I could have done wrong. Does anyone knows what happened here and how to avoid it?
Hi everyone, it's been ten days since I've had this phone after a few years with an S6. The problem is that I see a yellow shadow at the bottom of the screen, which is observed no matter what screen setting you set. Is very annoying because just when I open something with white background the shadow is noticeable at first sight and if you rotate it back vertically, the yellow tone disappears and gives the white tone that it is supposed to have. But not only that, if it slightly tilts, the shadow appears again and the yellow tint extends towards the top of the screen.
Is this a normal "problem" of IPS LCDs or is it just my phone (defective screen diffuser)?
Thank you.
