Hello, i wanted to update my Moto G Dual SIM XT1068, bought in Spain, from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2 so i followed this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/official-lollipop-indian-ota-captured-t3002674
i was stupid and did not read everything before doing it. A friend of mine told me to go to the bootloader and apply the update from sdcard. Midway the update stopped and the phone did not responde to anything, so my friend told me to hold de power button until it turned off.
Now my phone won't turn on, only bootloader, and i can't do anything. Can someone please help me?!
i had everything stock. no rom, no unlocked bootloader, nothing.

Hello guys
So, here's the deal. Few months back, I messed up my One and got it stuck at the grey HTC Screen. Couldnt boot into system, because I guess there was no ROM on the device. Thanks to you guys here at XDA, I got the situation analyzed and took the device to an HTC Service Center who told me to get my motherboard replaced. That was way too costly, so I got it JTAGed. The device now boots into ROM, but it cant boot into the bootloader. So I cant unlock the bootloader, S-OFF, Root or anything.
I can only boot into ROM. Can anyone please explain why this is so and what can I do to get my bootloader and recovery back.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Which methods are you using to get into the bootloaader ?

Sorry for the late reply..i was out of town..
I tried adb and manually pressing power+down..but to no avail.
I figured it out in the end though...i dont know what happened but the device suddenly went into the bootloader one day and now its working fine.
I have a question..
My device has been jtagged. Its now bootloader locked, unrooted, s on.
Is it dangerous for me to try to unlock and s off and flash a new rom?
Can a device be flashed after its been jtagged? Im sorry I dont have much experience with jtag.
Thanks!
Hello everybody.
I apologize in advance for my English.
I have a problem with my Moto X.
To begin with, I bought it month ago. It is xt1056. At least it was written on the box and on the back. But the system itself was by xt1053. I didn't pay any attention to this fact.
Don't have root, bootloader is locked.
And 2 days ago I recieved the system update to 4.4.4, after which the phone doesn't see my sim.
I unlocked my device and began to install different versions of system, from different providers. No results. Tried to install another front-end. No results.
The bad thing is, yesterday I installed Sprint's 4.4.2 version and upgraded it "by air", forgetting about my unlocked boot.
Now, suprisingly, my bootlaoder is LOCKED and I can't unlock it through the Motorola's site.
Also I can't install any of systems.
Does it mean that my device is "dead"? Or is there any chance to do something?
Hi,
First, questions go in the Q&A section. ?
Second, please do read read read before playing with your device. It's an extremely well known fact, and posted all over this section, that downgrading your android version on the moto x is very likely to brick your phone.
You can check out this thread and see if you can save your device...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2629057
Another option, if or when, the 4.4.4 firmware files for your device are released...you can try manually flashing them with fastboot and mfastboot....if you can get into boot loader mode.
Trying to flash anything less than 4.4.4 now will not likely help....and could make things worse.
Good luck!
Hi
I just got a XT1094, with the chilean carrier Movistar everything was great until I installed a leaked new version of google seach, the phone stop working and when I turn it of and turn it on again gets on a boot loop hole.
I can access the fastboot mode but when I use recovery appears the android robot wih the warning sign for a few second and then it goes to the boot loop again, factory reset dosn´t work neither.
The phone isn´t rooted or have the bootloader unlock.
Please I am starting to get kind of desesperate.
You have the XT1094 ? Odd, i bought it on release on same carrier and it is the XT1097
If its not rooted or unlocked, just go to Movistar and change it, ill do that since if you mess up something you might lose warranty.

Actually I assume that was that version but I cant confirm, I cant return it to movistar one of the first thing that I did was let it escape of my hands so it now have a few scratch that will avoid the warranty I am sure.
I dont think that a few scratches will void warranty, after all the problem is "software", just go and say that it doesnt turn on and it goes to bootloop
Especially when it is THIS new, and its not the hardware that it fails. I assume that since its unrelated it should not void it
I will try it, I don't know what else to do I will have to go tomorrow.
In the worst scenario if they tell me that my warranty is voided, What sould I do?
I think you could flash another stock rom trough ADB, look for a pure edition (Brazilian should be ok)... That should work.
By the way, in the base of the phone is the version of your phone (next to where you charge the phone)

Yeah I haven't noticed it until a few minutes and you were right is a XT1097.
I have downloaded a few stock roms called moto x pure KXE21.187-42 and a Moto x pure multi tool that in the post said that work with XT1097 also but I need to have the bootloader unlocked and I don't know if I can unlock the bootloader in this status.
You can access fastboot, so yes you should be able to unlock it (search the FAQ in this forum for more info on how to do it)
BUT go to movistar first, keep this as a backup plsn, if you mess something you may lose the phone.

Hi
I had Moto G XT1068 with stock rom, bootloader locked and no root.
Then I decided to follow this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/tool-moto-g-xt1068-andoid-l-updater-t2964933 to install Lollipop with root and bootloader unlocked and worked fine but I couldn't get acess to 3G, the dialer wasn't working and I faced a few more little bugs so I decide to downgrade to Stock rom again and followed thus tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/restore-to-stock-t2873657
Now I can't pass the bootloader unlocked logo. I have acess to fastboot and I have Philz recovery installed. I searched and found some tutorials to unbrick the phone but I'm a little afraid to follow the wrong one and do worst.
Can you help me please? Is my phone soft bricked or hard bricked? Can I have hope?
Thanks to all.
PS: my english is not perfect, if you don't understand something please say.
I have a motorola X with unlocked bootloader, but the flash another ROM, remains intact the stock ROM. So when I try with a custom recovery also remains the stock recovery.
I want flash my phone since all process stops, and sometimes off by itself.
Thanks for any help and excuse me my english.
Model: Moto X 1053 Nextel México.
I dont think that the bootloader of your phone is properly unlocked... From what i understand your post is saying that whenever you flash anything the whole mobile doesn't takes any affects... So still it must be Write Protected... AFAIK... Do this test and make sure that your Boot loader is completely unlocked...
Power off your phone
Wait for 5 Seconds
Press and hold power button and volume down button simultaneously for 4 seconds then release those buttons...
And look out for a yellow line or a any other white line saying Device Status Code
If your bootloader is properly unlocked it must say: Device is unlocked: Status Code 3
If it gives you any other status code... Then your Boot loader might be relocked thats why it must be saying bootloader unlocked on the startup by which i assume you are saying bootloader is unlocked... Checkt these out and tell us... We are always here to help others android owners..
Good luck..

Okay so i saw the screenshot.. Its properly Bootloader Unlocked..
Now the chances might be that your stock recoverry is either corrupted or damaged because your phone's factory reset is not working.. Flash the stock firmware of your phone through RSD LITE... Flash the 4.4.4 version and dont donwgrade... And after flashing the stock firmware... try flashing recovery again. Find the stock firmware of your device according to your model... find the model code at the lower back side of your phone its really tiny so you to have twist the phone to make it visible...
