I have read that thread
But i have been using xposed for too long that incant now do anything without it
I recently upgraded to official lolipop in my GT-I9500
Now cannot install xposed
I guess i have to wait for it intill it becomes compatible with lolipop
I'm also very much used to xPosed that i cant go on without it.
and xPosed the the only reason I'm not upgrading to Lollipop
and the wait is going longer n longer

You should upgrade to Lollipop. Rovo89 said that he is working on it only for some hours per month, and for me this does not sound like actively developed project.

Yes i upgraded to lolipop
And without xposed using my phn seems a little incomplete
Hope xposed comes out soon
Just upgraded my phone to Android 5.0.2 myself, and it really feels like my phone is missing something. Android 5 already looks nice, but there's these small tweaks Xposed makes possible, that would make it perfect.
Crossing my fingers for future updates
Downgrade to 4.4 and stay on it forever. Xposed is most probably dead since August or September 2014.

Dead??
Kindly elaborate plz
It isn't dead. Just because rovo isn't here giving progress reports, doesn't mean he isn't working on it. He's specifically said he won't give progress reports or publish any work in progress code until he's ready, so lack of new information means nothing really, apart from he's doing what he said he would.
There are comments here that indicate he hasn't given up, just for example - https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/18

Thanks for that link. I'm glad that one day I'll have a reason to upgrade to Lollipop.
android without xposed is...
without xPosed,
no xPrivacy, without xPrivacy, apps go f**kin around and collecting every bit of my data,
no Amplify to control wakelocks, alarms and services
no advanced greenify
no Wanam Xposed for samsung tweaks
no XHaloFloatingWindow
no Network Speed Indicator
no Native Clip Board
and lots of other important tweaks that i always use on every rom and device like wifikeyview, vpndialog xposed, screen filter, ds battery saver, disable service, gravity box, fake wifi etc etc

Stop and read the threads before you post this. There is progress, he's not updating
No new code does not mean he's not working on it.
If that would be the case we won't see a newer Android Version that Lollipop because there is no newer source code...
I read from Rovos posts, that he is working on ART-compatibility and understanding how the new runtime works. In my understanding that means, he won't release a new BETA or a new source until he had success with making it work basically. Possibly then we have a source-code and he'll do refinements.

I did tell you this before, but perhaps you missed it. To that end, I'll repeat it.
rovo specifically said he would not be publishing any work in progress code on his GitHub or anywhere else until it was at a state where he was confident that other contributors could effectively assist.
In the absence of any statement changing that stance, then everyone can assume that's the reason that there's no activity on his GitHub.
Until stated otherwise, there's zero reason to assume that he's abandoned work on Xposed as the lack of visible activity is entirely intended, especially since comments on issues on GitHub point to the fact that he's still working on it.

As far as I'm concerned, Xposed is the only reason not to upgrade to L. If you can do without it, then it's absolutely worth the upgrade!
All,
Please... No arguing in here. Either make constructive posts that hold value or don't post at all. If this continues then the thread goes bye-bye.

Hello everyone!
This is my first attempt at porting Android Wear to the Galaxy Gear! I am not an experienced dev and this was done fairly quickly using null_23 as a base and the Gear Live system dump. This is not at all ready and definitely not ready to flash. If you do decide to flash it, you risk bricking your device. That being said, I am requesting that a more experienced dev check over my work. If it seems in order, then it will be tested, until such a time, test at your own risk.
Link: http://d-h.st/go2
UPDATE: [ONLY FOR BRAVE PEOPLE INTERESTED IN TESTING]: Since I used null_ as the base, the addons are still available, but please do not flash any of them! And use the stock kernel for the time being!
UPDATE 2: It might be a good idea to try using the custom kernel we have available to us. If I can get an updater script from the gear live or other android wear device and look in to modifying the bootclasspath in the preexisting custom kernel that we have.
UPDATE 3: I have figured out how to modify the bootclasspath, will make the modification shortly. I just need an updater script for an android wear device and we may have a booting android wear port.
UPDATE 4: Link to Attempt 2 coming soon. This has a modified updater script that will hopefully set all permissions correctly. This may be all it needs to boot properly. If not, then I may still need some help getting the Gear Live Kernel to modify our kernel's bootclasspath. If anyone would like to flash this, same as before, I can't guarantee anything will work or that your device will work afterward.
Link: AWAttempt2.zip
UPDATE 5: added my slightly modified updater files from fomey's null_ ROM attached at the bottom. fomey, if we get this working, could you package it in to null_ as a second ROM option?

I will not try it out right away because i just set up Null 23 and cloudnotifier so that to have notifications on the iPhone.
BTW, is there any chance that it will work with an iPhone. Ala Google Glass, that is.

Thank you for testing so quickly! I'm glad it did not cause any serious issues to your device. I will do some talking with some devs I know and see what I can get worked out. Porting to the 1 will actually be easier than to the 2 or Neo, since there is an android base for the 1, unlike the 2 and Neo which are Tizen only.
Do you have a change log? If this is based on Null, it's still 4.2, while the wear launcher, if I remember correctly, requires a newer version of Android, probably 4.4. Just curious what your plans are to deal with that. Seems to me the only real options are either editing the wear app or porting 4.4 aosp and hoping the launcher works. Theoretically, the gear live dump could be ported but the major difference between cpus makes it a much more difficult task than people originally hoped. I think the best chance would be if a dev team (ie CM) were to pick up the protect, but there's the downside to a large bounty: there's a lot of people wanting to go it alone for the cash.

Trust me, I'm not doing this in an attempt to get the bounty. The money doesn't interest me at all. As far as the change log goes, this is the absolute first attempt, so there hasn't been anything changed yet. So again, this was a quick attempt in an effort to get the ball rolling and get the community involved in the development.

No worries, I didn't think you were. You didn't have the typical billion "Donate please!" links that they would.
But what does first attempt mean? Just null kernel and modules with gear live system folder? I know a little about these things so I'd like to take a look, mostly out of curiosity, so I'd like to know what you've already done, preliminary as it is.
I agree though, we needed some kind of thread started and I agree that it's too early to put anything in the development forum.

Not just a swapped out system folder. the base of the null_ system folder is still there. I only migrated the things necessary for a standard port. The only issue is that there is no ROM for the gear live yet, so a proper permissions section is not available for me to port from the updater script of the live to the updater script of the galaxy gear. I'm pretty convinced that if someone with a little more knowledge than myself edited the updater script permissions section to set the proper permissions for the new files, that this would at least boot.
Hi guys, I stumbled across this ebay listing item number 161368138405 . The seller claims he will update your gear to 4.4.2 for £25 + p & p , I have emailed the developer a link to the bounty thread, hopefully he may be able to help.

In the pictures he wirtes "This is not for the watch"
And later on "(1) Watch will become android 4,4,2"
Does he know what he is selling or not?
When he says "This is not for the watch", I think he means that you are not buying the watch in the picture. That is, you are not buying the physical watch, just the software upgrade.
I think it is high risk when you send your watch to him.

RevengeDevTeam: I have not necessarily classified this as a ROM, since it currently doesn't boot. That's why this is listed in the general thread. I am working on it, but there are no guarantees right now.

I forgot how irritating the stock android is. I was going to try to lollipop for a couple days, but after only a just a few hours I coudl't take it anymore. Glad I made a nandroid before I installed that update. Those headsup notifications, that annoying immerisve mode panic, the loss of my navbar buttons, the new volume controls (randomly changing the various volumes under some inexplicable priority strategy) and various other things. I mean, it was bad. I hated it. I bet this is the best Android ever if you use your phone as a phone and not as a computer that happens to make phone calls — but that's not me. I'm just not the average aggregated user Google is targgeting.
I haven't seen a lot of people posting that they can't move to lollipop because: no Xposed and Gravity Box; but I wanted to put this out there in case someone like me was feeling down for wanting to revert to KitKat. Just do it. Personally I'm wating for 5.1 or for ART Xposed or ... something. I'm sad I'll miss out on the new camera, but the rest of it just isn't worth the headaches.

There are only ever 2 types of updates: the before closed beta testing and the after open 'beta' testing.
Just wait for custom ROMs, Xposed for Lollipop will not come soon, and I'm not sure if it will come at all.

You lasted longer than I did! TWRP nandroid rescued me. Lack of [X]privacy is a show-stopper for me but I've forgotten how ugly non-customised (GravityBox, et. al.) stock is.
What device do u have?
I'm on a leak gpe version on my HTC m8, and it's pretty stable. Yes it sucks there no xposed but most of what I use xposed for is convenience features like custom nav ring that I can live without.
Biggest upside is battery life and performance kick the pants off KitKat.. Also love the new material design not to mention the hundreds of cool new things in SDK 21 like the dynamic floating menu buttons.

Yeah, I feel you man..
Can't say I find stock android irritating per se (or used to, anyway), but Material Design? Dont' get me started!
Been on lollipop on my Nexus 5 for, well, a couple of days now. Feels like a lifetime. I like "stock", and I'm unfortunately one of those all-for-the-latest-version-hype type personalities. And I thought I would be able to manage without xposed (I used it mainly for cosmetics anyway and Lollipop seemed to be a huge leap forward from kitkat in that respect).
Buuuut...material design is...well, effing ugly. I can live without customising my lock screen (since I didn't use a lock anyway), so now I just skip it alltogether. I did like having my own set of unlockable shortcuts (so to speak), but, hey, b-bye.
LWinrecents: got that in lollipop - along with material design stacks of recent apps. Did I mention I think material design is effing ugly? Because it's also a bloody mess. IMHO, of course. VPN Dialogue? Since VPN doesn't seem to be working in L, no need for a module, right? And Xprivacy? Well, for the time being; hello world, have ALL my personal information.... At least greenify seems to run without xposed... Just to mention a few examples.
But...but. BUT, the new statusbar / notifications? Oh. My. God. I don't need Xposed and gravity box, I need goddamn kitkat and gravity box! Jeez.. Give me jellybean and I'll shut up!
As for the current GEL version, I must admit, I didn't even give that a fair chance, I set Nova Launcer as my default launcher from first boot..
I am torn right now, I'm itching to go back to 4.4.4 with xposed and gravity box and all the other "pointless" little cosmetic tweaks. But, I figure I can't be stuck on an old OS forever, and I'm already upgraded so I might as well just get used to what is and will be.
So basically, for me to keep using 5.0 comes down primarily to the convenience of not downgrading (i.e. going through another factory reset with the restoring backups and the whey and the wizz and the hey-hey-hey). With a kicker of "might as well get used to it."
So I have to concur that if anyone is on the fence, and you can't find a reason why you absolutely, positively HAVE to upgrade to lollipop, stick with kit kat and xposed. (insert appropiate number of exclamationmarskoneoneoneexclamationmarks) You're not missing out from as far as I can tell. Also, all the Google apps will come your way with material design anyway, so you WILL get your fix of fugly whether you want it or not.
If I'm not making any sense, then nevermind me. I'm just on a rant. And I miss gravity box. And I think Material Design does not present a very pleasant user experience. Also, I'm on a rant, did I mention that? Check back with me in a couple of weeks, and it's not entirely implausible that I actually have gone through the hassle of a downgrade/factory reset to get back to kit kat.
At least I'm rooted. Thank heaven for small favours, and thank Chainfire for big ones.

Then I hate to say you may be stuck on KK as xposed is having huge issues with the new security setup in 5.0. I would get used to living with out xposed. This way if there ever is a work around then cool but if not then you wont be stuck in limbo.
Well if I'm stuck I'll deal with it.
Xprivacy definitively better that L.
Just curious I've tried googling it but when are we getting exposed modules? Do we have them already and I'm just naming it different or what's going on ? Thanks for any answers

Xposed doesn't work with Lollipop for various reasons. Rovo89 is working on it, but there is no ETA on it. My guess is that it won't be anytime soon that we see it.
There is apparently a different one in the works, that is similar at least in spirit to Xposed, but it isn't released yet (source).

Has anyone been able to get Xposed working on their Verizon Nexus 6 running Android 5.1? I've been trying all day and have searched and searched and followed all the workaround threads and nothing has worked. I cannot get Xposed working. I've tried the SELinux mode changer app, tried the initd script, tried flashing the zip that sets linux to permissive. Nothing is working.
So has anyone been able to get it to work on their Verizon NExus 6? If you did please share what method worked for you..

Xposed got big because it brought customization to many phones that had root but locked bootloaders. It's a little less useful when you're on a custom ROM but there's a lot of app hacks. I like it to do simple things like save all my Snapchats without notifying people or unlimited skips in Pandora.
Not to mention some of the top devs prefer to work on Xposed rather than ROMs since it isn't device specific. So a stock 5.0.2 ROM with the Gravity Box module has more customization features than most of our current ROMs do. Here's the full module repository:

just out of curiosity what does xposed do that is so great that everybody misses. And I see people are very concerned about getting it back. I glanced at it quickly and it looks like an ad blocker and a couple other features that you can get with other applications. what am I missing?

Xposed does a heck of a lot more than just block ads. The uses for it are almost endless. It allows almost limitless customization. Everything from UI modifications to, unlimited Pandora skips. It literally gives you all the options of a really really feature filled custom rom while still running the stock rom. Take some time and look through all the xposed modules for it and all the things they can do. That should give you an idea of how much you can do with it.

For me its the little things. Like crappalinks. Don't ya hate how tapatalk does a link hijack? Fixed. Want to use Google voice to text with Swype. Fixed. Hate the stupid "hey dummy, you are using a vpn, that you know, you like installed and set up and launched?" Fixed. Removes a lot of little annoyances that the custom ROM devs are too busy making the **** work to begin with to address.
Also, Gravity Box, lol. The last six months or so of my use of my old S4 was on a Google Edition ROM port. It was by far the best performing ROM, but it also lacked features, kind of like the stock based ROMs here. Gravity Box brought almost all of the features of custom ROMs to the GE ROM.

Xposed is a framework that allows you to "inject" new functions, settings, code into any ROM or app. For example, you may want a custom rom so you can customise your notification quick settings. With xposed, you can install a custom module that will allow that without changing the rom. If no rom has all the features you want, find the feature you want as an xposed module and add it.. Thats what the fuss is about. Its very flexible.,
Here is one of my favourite modules on this device...
What's everyone using to block ads until xposed is available again. Tired of ads popping up in apps and YouTube.

Actually I found out about adfree and tried it. Still get ads in apps. Of course YouTube still has ads too which I don't expect will be fixed until we get xposed back.
Xposed is awesome and I cannot wait to get it on 5.1. So someone asked what does it do/why use it? There are many reasons.
You want to keep the original OS after root but still want all of the features of cyanogenmod or whatever. Xposed has a lot of them and more. For instance you could set your verizon phone to tether with a click of a button, add a date in the top toolbar, change colors of things, add battery %, get rid of ads, etc. Just tons of awesome things. With my gNex I always just flashed new roms when I wanted new stuff. But with my moto X I wanted to keep the OS and still get those advantages so I used xposed and really liked it. Now with the n6 I again really like the OS so I do not want to flash a new rom so xposed it is (once its working).
I think xposed is the way of the future. No more flashing roms and stuff when you can keep your OS and just add features you want.
I really just use it to get most of the customization I used to get from custom roms without the hassle of having to flash custom roms all the time.
It will come to 5.1 just need a little patience, it didn't take that long to get it on 5.0 and that was a much bigger update.
Threads like this remind of people waiting for cydia on iOS every time there is a new update.

Yes the Android modding scene has changed drastically in the last few years. I remember when I first got into modding Android on my Verizon S3. That was also when xposed first came out. 3 flagship phone generations ago. I remember waiting for the Verizon Jelly bean update. 4.1.2 Hahaha. Gold old days. (only 3 years ago. Lol). We had actual leaked insecure bootloader on the s3. The last Samsung device on Verizon to gave a legit unlocked bootloader. Not the work around line Loki or stupid safestrap on the s5. That's why I quit the Samsung line last year and got an M8. Now I have a Nexus. Quitting Samsung was a good choice though by the looks of it, the S6 in all its variants sucks. If I wanted an iPhone I would get an iPhone.

Maybe never. Google has a tendency to turn android to an even more lockdown status.
I am actually excited for Android N without modifying. I think N will be solid.
From the developer of xposed came this post back in March:
