[Q] HTC One m7 boot problem. - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I'm kinda new to android and I just bought an M7. To my bad luck the device was rooted so I did a reset from the boot menu now whenever I boot the device, it boots but when I unlock it, it juat shows the HTC logo with white background, no home screen no app drawer, volume and lock buttons work. Recover is TWRP, S-off and 4.4.2.

Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

can you post the output of "fastboot getvar all" (remove imei and serialno before posting)
Also what version of twrp recovery is installed on the phone?
Any idea if the phone was running the stock rom or a custom rom? If it was a custom rom, do you know what version?
When you said you have performed a reset from the boot menu, you mean you have made a factory reset from the bootloader (where the background is white and you have to use vol up and down to select "factory reset") or you have wiped from TWRP?
Do you prefer the phone to be 100% stock rom like if it was new or you are ok using custom roms?
Waiting for you answers, don't worry it should be pretty easy to fix.

I would like to have Cyanogenmod on the device but for now it isn't mine so I'd like to leave it stock, the twrp is 2.8. I can't post anything from the device right now and the boot screen issue is fixed I only needed it to wait until it showed the first time setup. Only what I need now is a way to unroot it.

[Q] HTC One rooting issue - aka cant get recovery to boot!

Hello everyone! I was attempting to root my HTC One on Sprint, and I successfully completed unlocking the bootloader following the instructions found on htcdev.com. The next step (correct me if im wrong) is to flash a recovery.
I attempted (using fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) to flash ClockworkMod, ClockworkMod Touch, TWRP, and even a (supposed) original recovery img. However, each time, it fails to load the recovery. What happens is the phone shows 'Booting Recovery...', then simply goes black, never to turn on.
In order to get the phone usable, I have to hold down the power button for ten seconds and then boot it back to android. Any ideas on what's causing this?

My first question are you sure it says unlocked in hboot?
have you tried the tool they made?

Just an FYI.. You would have had more people helping if you posted in the Q/A.

Yeah, I have tried Hasoon2000's tool, but no change. I wonder, would a factory reset help?
When you try to send ity does it say .. sending? and done or does it give you an error message.
Hey, turns out I had been using Hasoon's Toolkit for the One, not the One on Sprint! It installed TWRP like a charm! Thank you! I had been stuck for weeks on this!
Cool.. Glad you figured it out... have fun flashing!!

[Q] Bricked till no end!

Hello,
I'm regular visitor but this is my very first post.
I gave a friend of mine my Sprint HTC One about a week ago. It had Digital Karma custom ROM I installed before giving it to him. Problem here is that he got into the recovery menu and decided to do a factory reset in there instead of doing it on the Android UI, now it seems that there are no files in the phone at all.
Windows will not recognize the device and in the bootloader menu I'm unable to select recovery, it just vibrates, shows HTC logo and then restarts at fastboot menu.
Anyone knows if there is any way to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Fastboot works? You're far from bricked.

[Q] S-off brick Problem

Good evening. I have a HTC One international. I tried to make my phone S-off with a toolkit fownd on another website, and somehow bricked the phone. It starts, but doesn't go past the "htc quietly brilliant" logo. I searched the forum here, because i heard it is the best, but i haven't found a clear answer to my problem.
If someone has the time, please help me.
p.s. i am a beginner in the art of custom roms, rooting and this sort of stuff, so please, keep as simple as you can.
Thanks a lot!
Can you boot to the bootloader by holding volume down and the power button for about 15 seconds?
If so, what is your bootloader screen reading and do you have a custom or stock recovery installed?
As Steve says, can you boot into the boot loader, and do you have a custom recovery installed? If you do, you should be able to re-install your ROM and boot again.
If not, and your boot loader is unlocked, you should be able to flash a custom recovery via fastboot & then install a custom rom to allow you to boot.

[Q] Help! Attempted to install custom rom, now phone is bootlooping.

Hi Guys
Ever since i did the stock 4.4.2 update my phone has become unusable (being out of warranty I decided to take matters into my own hands)
I rooted my One (M7) and flashed TWRP recovery onto it with success, from there I wiped it and tried to install a custom 4.3 ROM. TWRP flagged up the install with another 'success' and told me to reboot the phone. After the reboot it got stuck on the HTC splash screen and after frustration I hard reset the phone thinking I could just try installing another ROM, wrong!
I can't get into recovery, when I select it the phone attempts to start recovery and then reboots and gets stuck on the HTC splash screen again, I can't do anything other than get into fastboot at the moment.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm new to this and although I have a pretty decent computer knowledge I've always left my mobile stock. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm using TWRP 2.6.3.0 and the rom is called 'Stock w Goodies 2.10' found here .
Sorry I'm not at home at the moment but I'll update this later when I'm able to post the fastboot results.

I'm having a similar problem. It's slightly different, but don't want to hijack.
Hoping to use whatever solution posted for my problem.
I got it solved by unlocking the bootloader and flashing custom rom. Now im trying to gain again s-off to get back to stock
