I would like to know if someone is working on a new flashlight app for the Vivid running ICS. I have found that the previous .apk file is not for ICS.
Thank you

I don't know if it actually installs the flashlight but it gives the option in the menu.

I am using wild child's rom and it has the flashlight on it. You have to register to see the vivid forum.
Hope this helps.
The HTC Flashilight app (flashlight.apk I believe) that was posted in an early thread here still works on my Vivid since the upgrade. The flashlight app was omitted from the Vivid, but someone found the apk file from an HD2 or other HTC phone. I installed it several months back, and it works well.
Edit: Here is where the apk is located. I had installed it under 2.3.4, and it still works with 4.0.3.

For all of you who want to get MirrorLink working it is fairly easy with ROMs that are based on the new M8.
Since the M8 supports MirrorLink by default.
Some ROM developers strip some necessary files but it is easy to re-add them.
Just let me know in this thread if you have any problems getting it to work.

Hi,
Excuse-me, i don't write very well english
Can you help me ? I have a Pioneer F860BT with Mirrorlink but It doesn't work with my HTC ONE M7. Which ROM of HTC ONE M8, can I use ?
Thanks
I'm interested as well in:
- Working ROM for mirrorlink
- Necessary files to get mirrorlink to work
I installed the most recent version of ARHD (71.1) on my M7. From what i could gather this should be a ROM based on the M8.
Mirrorlink is not working on this rom (with a Pioneer Appradio 3)

ARHD 71.1 is not based on M8 ROM. It's official M7 base. ARHD 62 was M8 port

Thanks! I'm gonna try 62.
For other ppl trying to find a mirror, I found one here: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=9984
I've tried the ARHD 62. Seems to be getting closer to work, but I'm stuck again.
When connecting to the headunit, a mirrorlink connection is shown on the phone. However, no connection is made to the Appradio.
For now I'll wait for a bit to see if a solution pops up, otherwise I'll buy an MHL cable.
After a lot more messing around, I finally gave up and bought an MHL cable. Should have done a bit more research before buying this phone, I upgraded because of the mirrorlink support.
As a reference for other ppl dealing with this issue:
- ARHD 62 seems to be the ROM that gets closest to working
- Logcat did not provide any useful info
- I've tried the Samsung modified mirrorlink apk (look for app.scm-1-j0ep0-v1.0.apk)
When connecting the phone, my appradio responds by disabling the USB-port 'to protect to device to overvoltage'. When clearing data of the HTCMirrorLink app, this seems not to happen.
Hello One owners.
I am curious if anyone here knows HOW to add the mirrorlink functionality to a ROM. It looks like I am going to have to attempt this on the OnePlus One as it has neither slimport or MHL but I have an appradio pioneer unit that I use for navigation multiple times a week.
Any help pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated.
I wish there was a simple app to enable. :-/ its built into system. HTC M8 has it built in and several Samsung devices have it. Android L will have telematics built in and that is mirror link essentially.
I'm on viper Rom, anybody have a walk through to connect .using tmo m8 and Pioneer avh 4000nex
With your m8 you just have to connect it to your head unit and select mirrorlink. You might have to choose mirrorlink in usb settings.
Unfortunately we don't have this setting at the m7.

I read the MirrorLink HTC One M8 support article say that you must be on the latest android 4.4.3 update in order to work. All other carrier should have the update pushed, you need to update in order for MirrorLink to work. I'm with AT&T so I'm sorta stuck since they did ran into some bugs during the update launch in august so they halted the update, not sure when they going to release the update. Just to try, I just rooted mine and flash with custom rom 4.4.4, doesn't work.
Anyone (olluz?) know the mentioned instructions to include mirrorlink support in a rom based on recent sense version?
Hi, good afternoon.
Has anyone been able to get this to work?
I currently have an HTC One M7, I have install what is supposed to be an M8 ROM and I'm still unable to use Mirrorlink.
Is there anyway to have this working by adding required files or something like that?
Thanks in advance!

Here's the link: [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2693502]
Make sure you download version 5.0 dated 4/11/14
If anyone needs a screenshot/video I'll post once I fine tune everything.
I did have to use Sunshine to s-off as I have a Verizon M7
I have a Pioneer AVH-x2700BS and it took a minute for it to come up...I'll see if there's a specific sequence and post.
After upgrading my HTC One from 3.4 to 4.4.2 I am missing flash support in the HTC browser. I know the workaround using Dolphin of FF, but I prefer the HTC browser.
My question is: Do you think it is possible to extract the 4.3 browser´s apk (and obex file?) and to install it on an HTC One running 4.4.2.
Is there a chance to get flash support back this way?
Thanks for your opinion,
Randolph

But this is exactly my problem! But after updating from 4.3 to 4.4.2 I can not find this checkbox to enable flash in the HTC browser on my HTC One M7... It is missing -
Do you think I have installed the wrong flash apk?
I installed the package recommended for Dolphin Browser but it is not recognized in htc browser - definitly no checkbox to enable flash...
Any chance to get this fixed? How did you get flash running - what .apk did you use??
Thanks in advance,
Randolph
By the way, the top-bar on your screenshot looks nice and interesting and different to mine: data rate, htc logo, power percentage - but no battery icon...
Flash player version see pic
Border color all stuff after sense 6 update
Battery icon hide by sense 6 toolbox
HTC logo is just notifications of get started data rate sense 6 toolbox

Is flash working on your HTC One? What site?
My HTC Oneis:
Android 4.4.2 Kernel-Version 3.4.10-gc35527f
HTC Sense 5.5
SW: 4.20.111.21 CL324876
HTC SDK API 5.69
Send me a link which you wanna test
from HTC One
Really too bad, that HTC stock browser displays the flash checkbox, but doesnot play flash ...
Flash will be around for some years and the kick it off portabel devices.
I presume, there seems to be no generic solution to bring back flash without switching to an other nrowser like Boat, Dolph or Forefox...
Anyway thanks for help & testing

You cant. Without HTC Sense framework and the needed Sense files the camera wont work. IT is part of the reason HTC went with a software based camera. This way it forces you to use HTC or be stuck with a 4 mp camera.

I found an application called "A better camera" and it does all the things that the stock htc camera does but it can allso take pictures in the dark without the led and still maximize the light it captures (a thing that the stock camera does not do).
So i got the things i wanted from stock rom..while using the things i love to have from cyanogenmod
Hi
After updating to the latest version of Android System WebView (48.0.2564.95) the HTC stock email klient stops when I try to reply an email.
If I uninstall the update the mail app works again.
I'm running Android Revolution HD 93.0 rom
Any suggestions?
I could skip the update, but I assume that it contains relevant changes.
Thanks
Am I really the only one who has this problem?
i got same issue
Same problem with the update 48.0.2564.99 from the 2016-01-29

Are you using AR-HD or stock rom?
Still not working with version 48.0.2564.106
Same here.
I´m using ARHD 91.1.
For testing i have installed ARHD 93.0. All good until i updated the Apps with PlayStore. Android System WebView ist gulity. I tested four or five 48.0.2564.x Builds. Nothing.
But 47.0.2526.99 (from here) works.
More Informations here
In any case HTC released an update to HTC mail that should solve this issue. It was rolled out this week
I have a htc one m7 with ARHD 92.0, but I cant get the update. As HTC have stopped support for it. Any Suggestions for people in this situation?
