Which one are you using?
How, if at all, does it help with the finger print issue?
I ordered a 3M Natural View screen protector and am trying not to get my hopes to high lol
Cut down screen.....
I bought a screen protector at WalMart for $14. It was for an Ipad. Worked fine. Kind of a pain cutting the curved ends, but looks good.
It does wonders for the fingerprints!!! NONE AT ALL!
Can hardly tell it is on there, although it seems like the screen may not be as sensitive as before. Might just be me though.
I even got dirt on it when I dropped it on the table. Took it to the bathroom, rinsed it under the faucet, then it went on fine. It was a static cling type - no glue.
It was make by Fellows, and has the label Writeright.
Oh yea---it actually had 2 screen protectors in it. So a deal at 14 bucks!
I am using a iPad screen protector as well,
Bought of eBay for a couple of bucks...
ordered a generic 7 inch tablet screen protector through Amazon when I got my A7. Works very well! (doesn't cover the bezel, but perfectly covers the touch screen)
just an FYI, do not use Zagg's "invisible shield" as it definately disrupts the touch screen. I am now using a generic anti glare that works fine
XtremeGuard offers great deals on glass and ghost armor type screen protectors. Usually the deals range from 70 to 80% off. The bad thing? Quality of the product is concerning.
I've been buying from them for a while now. I ordered a full set for my G4 so it would arrive before I got the phone. I ordered the full body protection and a glass screen protector. They came in the mail after a week or two. First thing I noticed was I was sent 4 screen protectors and no back protector. I didn't understand why they would send four screen protectors until i tried to put them on. The protector is about a quarter inch too long for the screen. It hangs off the bottom of the phone. The glass protector also doesnt fit. It fits about half inch into the screen so there's a large gap all the way around.
I contacted Customer service who was quick to send out replacements... Of the same product. So two weeks later I receive the same protectors with the same problems.
tl;dr
Screen protectors don't fit and Customer service doesn't care. You get what you pay for.
I have the glass screen protector from them... Fits fine.
The protector shouldn't be edge to edge, if it is, you can't use a case.
However, i did order 2, and I'm glad i did. The edges had some tear out issues. Very minor, but i like a completely bubble free fit.
I've been using These guys since my original optimus g. The two times I've had even the smallest issue they've been very fast about sending me replacements; including this time.

The protectors I had for my g2 and g3 were nearly edge to edge. This one fit up to the top speaker and to the bottom of the LG logo on the bottom. I have a case for the phone and it's still a gap between the case and the glass screen protector.
Had three. For the G3, SGS4 and Nexus 7 (bought in one order).
All three abysmal. Refund for all. Never again.
I had them on several flagship phones. I never had an issue with them.

I had IQShield screen protectors for the LG G4 and it works fine.
I've had mixed results with the screen protectors they sell, I Only order from them when I have a 80-90% off promo code. Their customer service is usually top notch and the screen protectors are a great buy at 90% off ( full price is 49 bucks for a tempered glass one).

Xtremeguard Protectors LG G4
I ordered the normal screen protectors which seem to fit pretty well. I also ordered the "Spartan" tempered glass protector which did not seem to fit correctly as the shape didn't seem to fit well with the G4 while also having redundant cutouts, say for Flash and/camera on the top edge. In addition to that, it blocks the earphone speaker. Overall I think I was sent the wrong glass screen protector... Sent customer service a message so we'll see how that goes.
I ordered from this site, I was not too impressed with the quality of the items I received. Luckily it was all purchased during their Black Friday sale and everything was real cheap. Did not spend too much money!
I enjoy them when they are 92% off. I find their tempered glass to be pretty sufficient. Now their wet install type, front and back, used on my droid maxx. Made a few cases fit too tightly. But it was self healing.
Their hd dry install ones are hit or miss....they can interfere with cases. So if u are going to use the phone with an otterbox defender....i'd probably say get a tempered and remove the built in one.
I have used xtremeguard polyurethane skins for a long time now. They were never the best quality but they supported the most devices and were cheap at doing it. You don't even need to worry about the sales, if you buy anything new just go to xtremeguards ebay store and everything there is around $1.99 shipped.
About the only issues is during manufacturing when it gets rolled, something can make almost microscopic vertical (the line is always up and down, never at an angle) lines. Most people would never see them.
I've been very interested in a Nexus 5 32GB or Moto X 2nd Gen 32GB.
My first choice is the Nexus 5 32GB but it seems quite difficult to locate a US GSM version in new condition and within a reasonable price range.
While reviewing the Moto X 2 there is an alarming of reviews stating that the screen crackers very easily.
I would like to know what others have experienced while dropping their phone.
Did your screen crack? Did you have a case or screen protector?
Just get a thin case or halo and you'll be fine. The glass goes to the edge of the device so you so need a cushion there. I have the Naked Tough Case and my X has taken some falls with no issues. I also don't have a screen protector on and have zero scratches after a couple of months of use.

There is already a case and screen protector in my shopping cart. A large amount of reviews stated that the screen was really fragile but close to none mentioned if they had a case on the device or not. To me: not having a case is you get what you get.
But none the less without having accurate information negative reviews can be concerning for such an expensive buy. Thank you for your input; hope to hear from others too.
I don't use a case. The other day I dropped mine out of my shirt pocket about 3-4 feet onto a tile floor. I didn't even get a scratch.

I dropped mine two times (no bumber or anything), both times it fell out of my jeans pocket. It got some scratches on the edges but absolutely nothing on the screen. I bought a bumper from Case Mate about a month ago (it was really cheap on Motorola brazilian webstore) just as a fail safe, because I'm usually very careful with the phone, the problem is when I have a few beers
My phone had a MAJOR fall AND bounce and my phone didn't have a scratch on it. No case, no screen protector.

Great, thanks all for your feedback. I just wanted some opinions outside of the reviews.
If you drop it, it will break at some point. However, the screen is built better than others. You just need a very thin screen protector for the sides and it won't break. Mine fell on solid concrete face down, no scratches.
had my phone for about a month, had a case on the entire time, dropped it numerious times no proble. Decide to take the case off just because I missed the look of the phone, 2 hours later I dopped it facedown on concrete from about 3 feet, I was on a park bench, completely shttered the screen. I bought moto care so everything was fine.
I've dropped mine on a concrete floor from about 1.5m high, no case, screen shattered - phone is now officially worthless.
It was just too beautiful a device to be hidden away in a case!
Now it'll be hidden away in some drawer until screens for it become cheap, because I'm not going to pay 200 bucks for the repair, for a phone that would be worth 200 bucks if it weren't damaged. So yeah, after all, the experience with my Moto X was quite a fail. Nice phone and all, but the way how the display is glued to the front glass is just a major construction flaw, because it makes it impossible to easily repair the glass (although there are spare parts being offered for about 10-15 bucks out there).
Mixed for us. First off, we bought insurance on both of our phones.
My wife dropped hers twice and it shattered.
I have dropped mine countless times. Some of those times I picked it up and I was shocked that it wasn't broken. It really depends if it lands on the corners of the glass side.
Any smartphone I have ever had that i dropped without a case, the screen has shattered. That's why I have a case.
Hi!
I am planning not to use any protective case/covers etc. accessories for my phone. Is it bad idea? Will Samsung S7 edge look like crap soon or it is scratch resistant and will keep nice look even after few months?
How does your phone looks like now after not using any protective covers? Could you post pictures and aprox time of usage?
Thank you, deff_ins
2 months - no protection , I'm carrying it in a pocket without other things like money or keys . No scratches at all , only fingerprints all over
Im a diehard screenprotector and case guy. Since I had been having so many problems finding a curved protector that sticks, and the ones that dont cover the edge looked like crap, I decided 2 months ago to go without a protector. I have a case that shows the edges well, and covers the frame nice.
After two months I finally have a 1/2 inch scratch on the face...nothing too bad and I will live with it...not sure how it happened but the glass has held up pretty well considering I am not a desk guy and am always using and doing things with my phone outside.
Overall Im surprised the glass has done well. That being said, and now that I have a scratch, I will be looking to get a protector again.

Well, good luck with living dangerously. I have my S7 Edge with the LED cover now for 8 months. During that time I dropped it 3 times. The first time the screen and digitizer were broken. The display replacement cost me Euro 260. 10 days after the repair, it dropped out of my pocket again. Invariably, it always lands on the screen because the LED cover flips open when it falls. Display glass cracked but digitizer still intact. After the first accident I had ordered a tampered glass screen protector from Hongkong. It arrived only 2,5 months later. When I finally got it and tried to fit it, half the display was unresponsive. When I tried to remove the glass protector the phone slipped out of my hand and dropped on the tiled kitchen floor. Guess what happened. Part of the display AND the glass protector shattered. The lucky part is, the upper right corner of the display which was cracked before got shattered. The display is still useable. I actally got used to the broken display. My hope is that in the new year the price for a new display might come down a bit. As I'm not planning to buy another expensive phone anytime soon, a second display replacement is probably the cheapest option.
Bottomline: Yes the S7E is a bloody fragile phone! Depending on the individual clumsiness, it is virtually impossible to assume that you will never drop it over an extended period. If you want to have solid protection you have to go for these hideous army style covers but they make the phone look like a monsterous thing. I like covers with functionality like the LED or S View covers but they only protect the edges and backside of the phone.
The Bottomline of the bottomline: Maybe I shouldn't have bought such an expensive and fragile phone in the first place. End of story. Cheers LJ
Back near camera cracked on mine even though I've never dropped it, had to put a skin on it to hide the crack. Also it has a mark on the main screen, suspect coinage in my pocket done that
Never used a case, I've had mine since two weeks after the release. I always carry it in my pocket with my keys and other stuff. Dropped it only once, no scratches cracks or any other damage.
Been using Carol Blue for 2 months. I slapped a dbrand skin on the back the 1st week so I can use it naked and not worry about back glass scratches.
At office and work, I go naked. Out and about, I put on spigen rugged case. Very easy to put on and off and slim enough and plenty protection.
The front screen now has few minor scratches on it. No idea how that happened. I'm very careful with my phone.
I just put armorsuit screen protector on it and it works PERFECT. loving the phone and how it feels in the hand. Amazing. I now have dbrand skin on back and screen protector on the front. Totally protected from scratches when going with no case at home and office.
i never ever used a case in my life. it hides the beautiful lines of the device
Take it from someone who has been through the process of having the screen replaced - use protection!
I dropped it on its face, from toilet height (yes, I was on the bog after a long night shift!) and before turning it over I just knew it was bad. You hear 30 seconds of cracking noises as they tear through the display glass slowly whilst you contemplate your stupidity at the 'oh s**t' moment you just found yourself in.
Cost me £50 in excess as I was insured luckily, however with no insurance you're looking at £200 ball park.
I actually had the LED case on at the time. That did naff all in protecting the screen. Flip cases really should have some sort of auto close feature! Might have been enough to save the screen if so!
I always thought about going without anything, but I love the led case to much. I don't know how so many people have broken theirs while also using this case, I've dropped it more times than I can count. Even especially since I typically keep the phone on my lap when driving, so I tend to open the door, stand up, and find it on the asphalt ground.
I still even have the square sticker on the back of my phone. No scratches, no breaks, perfect.
Update : just wanted to update my previous post with this new information. I ordered and received the ArmorSuit screen protector for my S7 Edge. I have never used a wet screen protector before and I have never found an edge screen protector that sticks or works either in the dry form or the tempered glass.
I watched the video on installation. it took me about 10 minutes to put it on. I let it air dry for another 15 minutes then using a hair dryer on low setting I got the sides to easily adhere to the screen. Left it overnight, put on my I-Blason edge case. I have never been so happy as I have with this screen protector on it looks amazing. Edges stick perfectly.
I'm glad to have my screen protected again and the case on ..I just don't think it's worth taking the chance with such an expensive device. I lived on the edge for a few months with nothing on it, but I'm glad I have something back on it now.

Yep, wet screen protector work awesome with edge . now using zagg screen protector and led cover close 3 month and no scratch
I wish I took a picture of the device I just returned. Dropped it and it fell on a rock. Ugly circular crack and a first the phone still functioned but after about a week my screen just went haywire and would only turn on after multiple power on and offs.
It was all bad lol
I can't seem to find a good screen protector. I know it's a common problem. I've tried the regular TGSP on my S8+, but didn't like the glare door the dust seeping through the adhesive. Tried several with LOCA, but it was such a hassle and they usually wound up cracked within a week of installation. I tried the wet application screen protector, which for some reason looked perfect on my wife's S8+, but always looked like crap on mine. Finally, I was super happy with Dendrobates updated version. It stuck down, felt smooth, and looked great.
Fast forward to the Note 8. I bought it used, though it was only a month old and he kept a TGSP on it since day one. The TGSP he had on it had allowed dust to accumulate between the screen and the protector and the touch sensitivity was horrible. I ordered the Dendrobates, since it was perfect on the S8+, and it didn't feel like the S-Pen would leave marks on it.
When it arrived, I took off the TGSP, and a speck of dust between the screen and the TGSP had actually etched a spot in the screen. (GG5 is SO SOFT!). It's no bigger than a speck of dust and can only be seen at an angle in bright light, but so frustrating!
I installed the Dendrobates, and it looks and feels perfect, and even makes the etched spot disappear, but it won't stick down on the left side, which is visually distracting and will allow dust under the screen protector. Which makes me worry about scratches. I reached out to them through email and @thescreenmax here, and their response was to refund me, which is fine, but sucks, because they're basically admitting their screen protector doesn't work.
99% of the screen protectors on Amazon are TGSP. No thanks. Dendrobates obviously won't work. And I'm worried about the wet application screen protector being too soft a d leaving marks from the S-Pen. I'm unwilling to go naked (though tempted), because I don't want anymore scratches on the soft glass. But I'm not sure what other options I have.
I love this phone, but finding a screen protector is ridiculously frustrating and annoying.
Goto agree its getting rediculos I wish Samsung back bring flat screen
Whitestone dome solves all
Hi. Iam relly statisfied by Tech21 screen protector . Its dry application works verry well. You will get a"mask" to aline them Perfect. Micro bubble from Installation will get away in 1-2 days.

bought these from ebay & it fits perfectly into my Caseology Case. its not glass screen protector but still better than nothing at all.
I used to have one but got rid of it. With every screen protector no matter what brand eventually dust accumulates around the edges of it and also since the edge has additional touch functionality it's not worth the hassle for the reduced area available. I have the practice of keeping my phone in my right front pocket and never put anything else in that pocket. Result: best looking phone with zero scratches anywhere of any kind. I keep a case on it that is very minimal from Spigen, mainly to eliminate the issue of the back of the phone turning into a greasy looking fingerprint magnet that has to be cleaned several times a day...
