[Q]Best Custom ROM so far?

Hello Guys!, I just wanted to ask what are the best custom roms so far?
Please share here your experiences and name the rom that you were using upto now!
This will also help other people in porting some custom rom and decide which rom is good so far!
So i will Start, Well after that heart breaking experience in Bumblebee's ROM i decided to go back to stock rom and root it again. The only problem here in this rom is "When you lock off the screen, it goes black but it's still on and it really drain the battery fast!"
Btw, Thankyou so so much to my Co-X6 users and Developers for making it alive till now!
So What are your experiences?

the word "best" is subjective.
This is my perspective of it:
If you want.
Everything working + stock performance/batterylife > Maclite
performance + good battery life + decent theme support > CM7
awesome customization/looks + decent battery life/performance > MIUI
CM7 features w/o themes + unique UI > lewa ui2.0 30.03 version
CM7 features + better themes and ui + good gaming performance > mokee (my current rom )
there's still an old favorite - andro-id RC2. which was one of the best custom rom before CM7 and MIUI came along....
flash whichever you think you might like or everything and decide for yourself.... have a blast!

hey whyzee,
thanks for sharing but i havent heard about CM7 mokee, all ive heard about and seen is the CM7 from edowar. pls can u help give a proper review of CM7 mokee, what works properly and what dont function. screenshots will also be cool and if you could also give a download link.

Sorry, after doing some searching around i was able to get some info about it, but it seems to have some little issues of its own. but anyways its cool.

hmm...its placed like that coz it wuld be easier to categorize. people who like battery backup, can choose easily and like wise for other categories.

its for both...this was the reason I removed the tags performance, battery tags. Everyone has a different choice

What rom do you recommend for my S5830 ? I want to be stable,fast [no lagging] and the battery is not discharge fast . I was looking for TW5 but i don't know if that rom is good . Thanks [ Sorry for my bad english ]

There are lot of ROMS with such capacity. Stock based ROMS provides good battery backup compared to other ROMS. You can also try CM7 The Ultimatum ROM which am using right now. You will get everything you have mentioned in it. Devs are working quite hard to give their best so ROMS are improving a lot

The Games on this Rom is working fine or with lag?
You can give me a tutorial for installing FireKernel ? [i was reading in the someone post ,battery without firekernel is discharging fast ]

Dude, as i stated, it has all features you're requiring. The fastest Gaming Experience comes from it. ROM was built with an intention to provide Speed, Lag free, good battery life and much more. You also have 3 Themes to choose. That's The Ultimatum ROM

If you flash the rom, that's all you won't need a new kernel.
To flash a firekernel you need CWM and to run a CM7.2 rom you need to know if it is official or unofficial based rom and then select the correct kernel version from Firekernel Thread

remember one thing our ace is not and was never made for intense use so if you want performance on any rom you will get it by overclocking or changing cpu governors but remember battery will obviously die so dont ecpect a good battery life on any rom on our beloved ace and about firekernel i am not sure about battery life that it increases but it surely not be up to large extent you can also try simple cm 7.2 from here http://get.cm/?device=cooper so do it man

Which ROM are you using right now for daily usage ?

I first installed custom ROM only to get Google services apps.
Now that I installed one, I loved some feature offered by them, like
1) Dolby Digital Plus
2) DIM
3) SuperSU
4) Play Store (Gapps)
But all these came at a cost. for me it was speed. I am using Simonoid 1.4 ROM:good: right now which offers all the above features but it is a little laggy while multitasking and opening apps.
So please tell me which ROM you are using and what problem you are facing with them. I am looking for a stable ROM that does not crash or lag, if it is out there.
I would also like to request all nokia x2 developers to set relaibility as their primary goal before adding visual features to their ROMS if possible, because a cool looking ROM with apps frequently crashing is less interesting than a stock looking ROM with good features and reliable overall performance.

Use cm 12.1 last build with luthfy karnel it is much smoother than others if u not flash karnel thwn u will feel some lag but after flashing luthfy karnel feel the new look and performance of nokia x2 on lolipop

A M using cm 12.1 with luthfy karnel v1 it works great for me
And in stock karnel it uses more cpu and battery but with luthfy there is smooth experience and no random reboots

I am using this as my daily driver from last two months only bug is data works on 1st sim and if u want data on any new sim use pacth wich i have but only on 1st sim data works feel free to ask anything about nokia x2 to me heres my wattsapp no. 8879624129 but before sending hi just mention that u have found my no. There is no "magic bullet" that guarantees awesome battery life for everyone in all conditions. If there were, everyone would be using the same ROM, and that isn't the case, is it?
Better to find out what is causing the battery drain (rogue app, wakelocks, etc.) and address it.
There are also plenty of "best ROM" threads, including ones that discuss battery life. So another yet another thread is pointless. Should have posted in an existing thread.

Donut or Froyo is best of the best ROM for 3T ....lol

1. Freedom OS
**Pros:
-Oxygen OS based ROM
-Super stable
-Great Battery life
-Adaway
-Viper4fx
-much more stuff...
**Cons
-No more customisations than original ROM
-Not sure about Frequent updates
2. Lineage OS 15.1 unofficial
**Pros:
-oreo 8.1
-Great battery life
-lots of customisations possible
-Has much more developer support
-better than stock ROM
**Cons:
-few things are not working
Charging doesn't make a sound nor vibrate, no matter what settings.
Option to switch hw keys light on/off is missing (i know not real issue, but many prefer them off)
Display modes missing sRGB, DCI-P3
-alpha stage so not super stable
-bugs here and there
-you have to decrypt your phone { must for earlier versions but not sure about 15.1}
BEST KERNEL
No doubt Franco Kernel , best battery backup
After all it depends on you what's your taste ....
**SPECIAL MENTION
omni rom and nitrogen os are also super good but don't have great battery life

i have tested many roms and kernels.
here are my results :
- oos 4.1.7 with stock kernel is amazing ! if you want more customization you can use xposed + gravity box
- sultanxda roms ( lineage 14.1 or rr based )
- and caesium kernel ! is one of the best in terms of battery, its sad it doesn't support oos and just custom roms.
and now i am testing oos 5.0.1 + latest franco ! hope it will be good.
