Fixed. You have to enable Google Now. This is absurd. Don't force this on me for full functionality.

Does anyone have the nexus 5 Google contacts search apk that also searches web for local. I.e entering pizza in contacts would show result of local pizza restaurants that are not in your phone contacts. Need apk as my phone is not rooted.

I do
It works but force crashes every time you try to call the number...
FC on 442 no root.
Yekollu, thanks for link, installed but its the same as the old one. Still does not web search as part of the contact search. Looks like it a nexus only facility.

Found this to enable root is required and permission changes http://m.pocketnow.com/2013/12/26/install-google-dialer
Since I've no root can only hope that 4.4.3 update will sort ( that's if we get it).

Turning the display on is not an available action on this device. Is there any work around to use for this? Or some way to make hangouts wake the device when it receives a message?

If you use secure settings, it works fine

Hi, got my new moto g yesterday and rootet it. With titanium backup i deleted few system apps like Motorola alert etc. Now i have lost the batterysaveoption tab, the energysaving mode who controls sync-stuff. I don't use it and don't need it but just for intrest, what system app caused it, whats the name of the app?
Not sure. I deleted the all those apps as well and I have no problem.

Answer - Motrola Assist...
I don't know if this was something I've done within a app or setting but can anyone confirm that since latest Samsung update and Google search update that this option is now missing to be able to use ok Google when plugged in and phone is locked

Click to collapse
I've lost "Ok Google" detection everywhere outside the Google Search app.
I guess that would be the same for me if I wasnt using nova launcher and have google detection clicked in settings of nova

The only way to replicate moto voice is through the app called OpenMic. It's not exactly the same but it gets close once it's been properly configured.
