RE: Extra Storage
Another method I used.
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Alpine/Extra Storage unlocker
Copy the exe in the zip file to your Alpine, then tap to run on pda. It doesn't show a finished message.
I use 'resco explorer', with show hidden etc in the settings, I haven't tried to vew with only the standard file explorer, it may work as well.
Goto Windows on your pda and you should see a folder called 'shared' it should show 60.9mb free. If you do use Resco Explorer and hold your stylus on the shared folders and select properties, you can change all the attributes (Hidden, Archive, Read, Write and ROM), although I haven't needed to.
Correct Link for above

Hello
I'm be happy that a way seems to be real, but it do not work on my 2020I.
I select unlock Extrom, but the Extrom is no visible, so i select Unhide and it say to me to do soft reset. After it, i don't see any Extrom. Only way is to use original LoadVisk, but it is writeProtected.
Where i am in fault ?
Thank's

I used the Loadvisk on my XDAIIi and I can write to it etc (Shared folder in windows).
Use Resco file explorer to change the shared folder attributes. Make sure you configure Resco to show hidden files etc.
Heres the link

Loadvisk
Here is Loadvisk program I used on XDAIIi, it may help
Confused loadvisk does not access ext rom?????
I'm confused about loadvisk. I thought it unlocked the ext ROM, but no it only gives access to your RAM not to extended rom.
I tried the other tool on here unhide, unlocked, where do I access the rom in my file explorer?
so please ignore my previous posts about loadvisk.
How can I reverse loadvisk to hide the shared folder again?
sorry if this is a bit jumbled, I'm just finding out about this stuff myself
Thank's for reply
But it do not work.
If i use loadvdisk_493.exe, it show Extended_Rom as entry, that is the same result as LoadVdisk.exe that exist in Windows directory. I can't modify files inside Extended_Rom and it as this name, not Shared folder. It is not a folder but new media and with resco 5.22 i can't change attributes because it do not permit to media, only with files or folder.
Secondly, if i use Exttrom_200_250.exe, i can't write to in Extended_Rom.
Is this write for you ??

RE: EXT Memory
Hi,
Loadvisk has nothing to do with extended memory, it creates a virtual disk of your Program RAM (see 'Memory' on you PDA). This shows as a folder called 'shared' in Windows, when you copy files to this folder, the look at your memory, you will see that it stores in your program section of your memory and so I wouldn't bother with it.
I have had a good look around and I can find nothing to unlock the true extended memory, only the tool you used to unhide it.
You can flash your extended memory with the 2577 method, but this is not ideal for users who just wnat to access and write to ext memory.

There is another method to write to the extended rom but is far more involved than the method DAz mentioned. It does actually write to the Extended ROM so it therefore survives a hard reset and allows you customise the ROM with programs and remove stuff you don't use like the bloody annoying O2 active crap.
I've used it and can say that with a little patience it is fairly easy to do, although trial and error is required sometimes. Some programs don't seem to install from a hard reset however most do (Pocket Plus, Resco Explorer, TCPMP etc work fine).

Happy modding.
Ok, Thank's to your comments

someone had the same problem ?
I have several e-mail accounts configured in Diamond Messaging and I lose a lot of time everytime a change ROM to put again user, password, pop3 and smtp servers, configuration, etc.. in each e-mail account
Is there any way (program, save Register keys, ...) to make a copy of the e-mail configurations and restore them automatically after changing ROM?
I have tested with SPB Backup and PIMBAckup, but it does not save/restore the settings of e-mail accounts.
Thank you very much in advance.
Search for "Makisu". This is what you want.
Makisu
Thank you. I just have download Makisu, but I am not able to find documentation (video , documentation and creenshor links are not valid).
Please, can you explain me what and how does it work or send me any documentation or tell me wher can I find it.
It seems to create xml files with the configuration, How do you import these files to Windows Messaging from Diamond?.
Thank you.
I use Sashimi, which in turn uses Makisu to script these details, after a bit of fiddly setting up works a treat now.
reg files
I have get a lot of information about Sashimi but i think that it is useful if you have reg files for your programms and so you do not have to activate and to configue them everytime.
But I think that it is a little bit difficult to get reg files.
Is it enought to copy HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Apps, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID Register keys or it is dangerous?
Must I have to copy any other one Register key?
Is ther any information about reg for activation code and configuration for common programs?
Thank you
The Sashimi site has good tutorial on how to use windiff and PHM Regedit to find the changes to the registry.
It's not always the easiest, but it's not too hard.
I would advise not backing up large swathes of the registry and restoring as it may differ between different ROMs.

Using Sashimi
Thank you.
I have learn a lot and now I know, more or less, how to use Makisu ans Sashimi. I think that it is a very useful tool.
I have some doubts:
1.-Programs that i put in exe folder are installed in device or in storage card ? Can i chooose it? How?
2.-How can i use it to copy files to Storage Card? Root folder is only for copy files in Device, is it? I say this because if you have a program installed on storage card and you reinstall it after a hard-reset, this new installation overwrite all your previous files and, perhaps, you want to maintain your configuration in your old ones..
3.-Some times during Auto cab installation a screen with error from Sashimi appears. I think that it is because the cab ask for an user action (license agreement, reset,...), how can I solve this problem?
Thank you
1) - Unsure, anything I install are CABs and in the CAB file.
2) - CAB/SD 'should' install it on the SD card, but I attempt this with S2P and it still installs it on the Device. Most config lives in the Registry and you can import this as well.
3) - Not sure I don't get this error. What CAB is it that fails.
Sashimi
Thank you.
1.-I am going to try to get all programs in cab
2.-I will copy these files directly
3.-I thnik that this problem is cause by the txtLicense string of SASHIMI.mscr that is missing for my language (spanish), i think i have to put txtLicense="licencia" just in spanish "if" section of SASHIMI.mscr (about line 250).
i need to create a pack for modify a some line on registry on some phone but i need this mod is save on phone and not delete if i proced to hard reset of the phone please you help me???
sorry if this question is already asked but i have try to search on forum but i'm not found
1. You can use Resco Registry extension for Resco Explorer. There you can export some registry entries and import them later.
2. You can create standalone cab with your registry settings. If your cab will delete after installation, set it as readonly.
3. You can use Registry Workshop software for PC to manipulate with registry
4. You can use Mortscript
Hello, id like to have privileges to modify all registry values on my Lumia 435(dual sim), is it possible, how to do it? Thanks
Put the phone in mass storage mode, use regedit to modify values, unload hive, restart phone.
Don't brick it
