Hi all. Just installed Serendipity! I am loving musicmod, but can't seem to get it to read the internal music folder structure properly. Did some searching...but...would anyone have a link to an appropriate thread?

Sorry for not supplying enough info. Here's the issue.
PowerAmp "Albums" tab can read /mnt/sdcard/music exactly the way the subfolders are structured. Songs and album folders are in order and complete.
MusicMod "Albums" tab shows split album folders and duplicate songs.
Can't for the life of me figure out how to fix this.

Ok...somehow the tags got screwed up. Now I have to figure out why some can be edited, and some cannot. Back to work!

Where the heck are the preloaded ringtones for the Zio? I am trying to add a ringtone to the directory.
Hi they are located in system/media/audio. You will need to convert mp3 etc.. to a .ogg file on your pc. Google ogg converter there are a couple free ones out there good luck.
Oh you might wanna post these questions in the general department from now on. You might upset someone this is the development department.

It's not the phone you must set but each app in their settings menu.
You can do the same for internet browser etc..
Wherever they are multimedia files are automatically detected.
I have tried with the apps... but i can't figure out how to for example move my songs from the internal to the external sd card by my stock music app.
Sorry for my bad english

You ca'nt, the music app doesn't move anything. It just scans the SD card and displays what it finds.
Alright thank you So if i want to move my songs then i have to do it "manually" by the pc, right?
Best regards

Or with an app like Astro
It is better to do it on computer, simple drag and drop and more reliable
Ok, thank you all for the help

Hi all,
Love this forum and the roms, just have a couple of questions I hope someone can help with.
Just flashed Dev-connection ROM and is so far amazing, battery drain massively improved from Ivendors other ROM. Also moved to Mauritius and poor reception has given rise to phantom key presses, PKF sorted that. Big thanks.
With this ROM I have lost ability to tether my laptop, tried USB, WiFi and Bluetooth with no joy?
What would I gain from installing K^ kernel, I think better battery maybe?
My album art shows in Gallery app, have done .nomedia in most folders, did that in music folder and Apollo couldn't see music, any suggestions?
I love the new camera, 3.0 I believe it is, can't find the version number. I saw it had a voice activated option but can't work out how to trigger it? I seem to get an error when it initiates though, Google search has stopped, I'd that relevant?
Also some of my music Apollo and other apps split my albums up, I assume this is something to so with the track metadata, Paulo Nutini Sunny Side Up is in three folders but in file explorer is correctly just one.
Any help is most appreciated
Thanks again Devs for all the hard work.

Hi, thanks for your report... wifi tethering is fixed in the next update, so you have to wait only a bit ...but for me on R1 usb tether worked fine (didn't tested Bluetooth tethering)
for music disappear in apollo you should remove .nomedia file from music directory, that file tells to the media scanner to not scan that folder, and music is media as images, and apollo splits your music according to metadata, you are right!
Honestly, USB tether worked for 5 min and now I can't get the laptop to see it. Can't wait for the update.
Should have explained clearer I know about the .nomedia, how can I stop my album art showing in gallery?
Any knowledge on the Camera, or K^kernel?
This foot the info on WiFi ap.

about the camera i never tried hands free option, btw with k^kernel you could have more battery life and more free ram. i do not use apollo so i don't know where it saves the album art... if it saves in the same directory as the music i think that you can't do nothing (you may try to not download album art with apollo, i don't know if there is an option) if you need wifi tethering you have to install another rom till the next ADC update.. you can try one of krislibaeer roms, or cm10.1 by davidteri, or erik's liquidsmooth
Think I sussed the album art, I don't think the music players are using them they are just left over from copying the folder from windows which places JPEGs in the folders deleted pictures and music players still have thumbnails. In future will just transfer mp3s only.

About album art:
Most of the time are the pictures stored inside the mp3 file. Just like those I3D tags (or similair)
I think these files you mention are thumbails. Just delete them from the gallery
I have searched the web far and wide for an answer to my question: is it possible to transfer my game save files from my old Optimus V to my new Moto X? i.e. I want to continue where I left off with my progress in Peggle and Hillclimb.
The Optimus is already rooted, not willing to root my Moto X.
Sent from my Moto X using xda app-developers app
I don't believe there is a way to do it without root. If the game uses the Google Play games API it will sync automatically. Aside from that you will need root to copy app folders to the data partition.

Helium works for non rooted devices and might work for your game data.
Here's a mobile link on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup
I personally haven't tried it on a non rooted device, but can tell you it worked for moving stuff from my S3 to my Moto X, but rooted.
Good luck.
