This isn't really device specific, but using the google keyboard, when you hold down the enter button it shows the emoji button as well as a left and right arrow. It doesn't show the arrows in every app that the keyboard is used for, but for some apps it does and I have no idea what they are for. I press them and I really don't notice anything happening. Not going to lie, this little minor thing is driving me crazy! lol

Google search they both appear. I type something, hold the enter key, hit the back arrow and nothing happens. I figured it was cursor control also. But can't get it to work if it is.

I really don't know what you mean by that. I seriously don't see anything happening pressing the arrows. Whether there is anything in the box or not, nothing happens.

When I press on an arrow the text transfers to the search box where I can further refine the search by typing additional info or pressing on one of the arrows to add more info to the search box.

Cool! I just tried it out and the arrow buttons work as TAB keys that allow you to tab to the next field, at least in my email.

The application will be mapped to the Right Softkey on you today screen.
to remove it from Right soft key edit this reg entry:
EDIT:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today Keys\113
And edit to any software you like.
Enjoy,

can it be made to actually work with a long press of the end key as intended - this would be really handy?

Doesnt work with a long press on the END button, trying to figure how to do that....
Nadavi..
Ok, I'm confused. The app is called "long press end key", but it has nothing to do with the end key, but rather the right softkey?
Very strang name for a program that dosen't do what the name says. Nice application, but on my Tytn II it dosen't want to use the RED END key, instead it uses the right soft key.
File attached for those who cant Rapidshare.
Can you attach it to the forum, because rapidshare is blocked to me (surf at work )
Thanks.

yes is there any reg settings? thanks
Does anyone know how to map the HTC end key program to the end key?
UPDATE:
the regedits HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\LongEndFunction enables or disables the longendkey function.
When I set it to 1 it enables the function, however it only does a devicelock. Right now I'm trying to find a regedit that will set the function to open up the ENDKEY app. If we had the registry from the Touch Dual this would be easy to find.
bump!!! any help would be appreciated.
I want to add a 'press and hold' function to the OK button. I dug around a little and didn't quite get the answer I wanted. Mostly using 3rd party apps to automate the configuration.
Couldn't I just make a copy of the registry entry in
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\
of the 40C4. Add it back in and rename it to 40C8, and alter the string value "Name" to Button4(Hold)?
Never mind...
I am a retard...
I just noticed the button assignment utility had the ability to add a "Button 4(Hold)". No need for reg editing or a 3rd party app.

Hi,
I have a simple but very annoying problem.
My mediagallery backround is black. So I cannot see my black icons. But to change the dock icons from launcher pro I have to go via mediagallery- I do not have the option to use my file explorer- and than I have to play memory (a german parlor game where you have to find pairs of matching cards. But all cards are hidden/ the picture is turned down and you have to remind where the other one lays- I don't know if that game is very common outside europe...)
Either there is a way to change the mediagallery backround or to use my file explorer to choose the images. With desktop visualizer I can choose mediagallery or file explorer...
Any help is appreciated...

Just press the menu button and then hit details, you will see the name of your icon, then press the back button and choose your icon, try to have only the amount of icons you require for your dock and that's all.
I hope this info can help you guys.

Well, i was talking about the hardware button, I think every phone has one Or not?
Well, I will recommend o you to use AndExplorer in that case.

Hi all I updated my OOS to 4.0 but could not found multi window option in setting page.
Any help is appreciated
For multi window got to recent apps view and simply drag one of the apps to bottom or top part of the screen. It will take the respective screen half and leave the recent apps view in the other half letting you select second app.

I've tried software buttons and can't figure out why I would want to use them... Anyhow, for those use hardware buttons:
Go to Options > Buttons
Here, pick which hardware button you want to use. I think the Android norm is the "recents" button. Regardless, pick the button you want to use and whether you want tap, long press, or double tap. Then you will get the menu that was posted above by gbroon where you select the "open/close split screen" option.
Now you can launch the split screen mode with that button action.

Ok found it! this made my head scratch as well..
Huawei seems to have set it up differently. If you are using Gesture navigation you would not see it. Follow the below steps to first see it and enable it before switching back to Gesture navigation.
1. Go to Settings > System > System Navigation > select Three-key Navigation
2. You will now see the little guy in the corner, click on him and you will then see the floating icon (both in attached screenshot)
3. You can now move around the floating icon and even change back to Gesture Navigation.
Do hit the Thanks button if this helped..

Thanks! I never would have found it if you had not pointed it out!
1 more issue I noticed though was that the feature reads everything starting from the top of my screen and ignores what I select.. In fact, when I have something selected, it reads the context menu to me 'Select all, copy, etc.' then proceeds to read from the top of my screen. Do you see the same behavior?

If only it was possible to run Select to Speak without having to leave Gesture Navigation first; having finally to used to gestures, I prefer them to Three Key etc.
Oh well ... thanks again MrDpak
